As I've said, if you want to find excuses to have something your opponent doesn't have, it's easy to do so. However, I believe it's not fair play and it's something I will never do. Pity that LO stance on that is different.

@CookiePuss, beause it's easier to edit gfx settings through the Advanced Launcher. Overwriting the missions text file with a downloaded one is also easy and has nothing to do with Advanced Launcher. @BXNNXD why you quote me? Did I say that they use Advanced Launcher to edit mission text anywhere? @AsgerLund you are the exception. Just check those that livestream to Twitch using Minecraft: Reloaded gfx settings. Most of them also patched the mission text file.

I never said that. Just said that whoever use Advanced Launcher do file editing too.

We all agree that the current version of the game engine is crappy for its purpose and until it's fixed, some people will find excuse to turn the game settings to Minecraft mode, one way or another. I suggest everybody against it, to do some patience until new engine goes live and LO revisits this issue. Until then, as LO allowed its use, there is no point arguing about it. May I remind you that people that use Advanced Launcher, do other shenanigans too? Like editing the file that holds mission text to reveal the final stage information. LO is still mute on that department as far as I know.

According to people running it while having good PC already, makes them distinguish the enemies better and be more accurate.

That statement would be true if Advanced Launcher refused to start on "good pc owners".

The problem is that people "need it" even on powerful computers. Hopefully with the upcoming engine update, people won't have an excuse to use Advanced Launcher's functionality and LO will switch it back to bannable offence as it is now with tampering game files (like the mission's texts).

You know my stance on it, I am against anything that gives an unfair advantage.

Remember, each person can have an opinion. They are vocal about it, and that's something LO wants. But at the end, LO will gather all the opinions and decide what's what.

Why this question pops up every week? I guess when the engine is updated to Unreal Engine 3.5, it will stop functioning and you will know.

Cheating is hardly the only problem of the game. Blaming everything on cheating, means that you either not aware of the rest of the problems or just choose to ignore them. Toxicity is a consequence of people not reporting bad in-game behavior (or in my case, reporting it and getting back from support that it's justified). So, bottom line, people lost faith that the company cares for the game, one way or another. Matt is telling us to be patient and it will pay off, time will tell. You keep telling about cheaters, do you have any solid video evidence? (it's a yes/no question)

Are you kidding me, man? Who said that? Stop distorting what others are saying, just to bring every forum thread to talk about your issue. I've said that the toxicity is something tangible, something we can easily prove with a screenshot, meaning that cheaters cannot be easily proved. This thread's subject is about people trying this game and leaving it. The first thing they see, even before they start a mission and be involved with cheaters, is the toxicity. Why do you choose to dismiss that problem and jump directly to the cheating problem?

Cheaters or not, toxicity is a real problem and easy to prove, driving away players from the game.

People may try APB, then get overrun by players saying on district chat that they have no reason to stop cheating and their sole purpose is to drive away players from the game. The toxicity is really bad for anybody trying APB.

I wouldn't know, I am not with them anymore. I see @Fenton around from time to time though.
