Hi @imV Your computer is good. Just my own personal opinion on "premade" systems. so do not worry. and your doing great explaining So its a Sim Based, 4g Router, This makes a lot more sense now. Think of it like Tethering to your mobile phone to play games. Unfortunately regardless of how some companies market there "best for gaming" crap.. gaming over 4g will be unstable, yes you may have high UP Down speeds, but the actual consistency of your connection and "Latency" will hurt. 4g is not designed for gaming and especially home router products. And in terms of were to locate such a device, well.. you have to think of routers as the centre of the wireless bubble (depending on product design/build.) however materials like thick concrete, iron/steel, copper, lead, then electronics like fridges microwaves etc and even humans can all effect the working range of frequency. also why you should never have a router near a tv or computer, as the electro static from those devices effect the router. Tough, I would say place it near a window / door of an external wall, but also you can search to find out which direction/location your local antenna is, so positioning your router on the correct side of the property will help. beyond that you get into the world of having an external 4g/5g Receiver installed and wire into your property.

hi @imV hope youre well. Nice rig. some appreciation for you. 6core 12 thread feels nice right. so premade.. tricky (personal opinion) Your OS is out of date though, known as 1909 , the latest is 20H2. run your updater . So Wifi has come along way , but like everything there is a thousand options and configurations between the makes, they all lock each other out. another issue is if your actual "broadband/internet" connection is over "Phoneline" instead of satalite or Coax/fibre then you will always notice a slow down when everyone in your street gets home from school or work and begins streaming or playing games. its the same for the power grid when the tv ads come one everyone goes and makes a tea.. you say that if you move 1m to a side its poops out. this is your issue. Im a bit lost on this : your saying you "Cant" use a direct cable, but then say wifi does not work, you use a 20m cable , the only way you can get wifi. we need to separate the terms WIFI / Wireless = Is a type of connection with no direct physical cable but by frequency with many factors that can break connection. Ethernet / cable = is a type of connection with a direct connecting cable that can only disconnect by damage or hardware. Internet/broadband / ISP = Is referred to as your "incoming connection" or internet. - If your Wifi/wireless "up" is 0.75 then this is a big issue as the game relies on good connection in both directions, - always having an issue between 22:00 - 23:00 i would actually question if anyone in the house is watching tv the news via the internet? also check your computer if it is set to do update checks at this time? - ISP Caps / peak times can also be an issue,. it is different in other countries but many have a "usage" cap. if you download (in any form) of data to a set limit you may have your connection speed reduced. so if you play for 2 hours and youv unknowingly used 3gb of interenet data playing games, then this would be the result of your connection reduction. this would also account for the variation in timing. additional: having your game on C : Os drive. this is not advisable, but not priority right now.
  6. Hi @ZykenShadow hope youre well . so just want to overview your specs, CPU is good, Your Graphics Card is nice, in terms of playability it should play APB very well at high/max in 1920x1080 @60ps , any higher resolution you might struggle. This GPU is in the same category as the Nvidia GTX970/980 Your memory, 24gb, this is 4x 6gb ? a quad kit or two dual kits. sounds silly but make sure your Bios recognises the priority, you dont want to spend money for quad or dual kits and the bios has them set as individual channels. but also if they are individual sticks having different timings can cause a lot of issues. your connection speeds up and down is fine, but you could still have high ping between home and service provider, you can do a speed test, or if you feel confident ping your service provider via command to see what you get. besides this i dont think your issue is actually hardware , its playable. if your using Windows 10 Pro , it should only be 64bit. so keep this in mind when getting drivers and hardware support applications So pointers, from experience, - Having APB installed to the C : (OS drive) has always been an issue, this is down to the continuous seek read/writes the os has to do, and the vast amount APB requires, especially with cache'ing (cache is all the players customiseable content being downloaded and writen to file, Read and deleted later) The best fix to this is to have a secondary storage device, internally, another issue to this is i have found the game is not stable on SSD, I prefer to have the game on HDD, mine if you interested is just a 3TB 7200RPM Sata3. This is my first point of concern for your "interval stutters" - Windows 10 & gaming, (Cut down answer) this os is great, but not the best friend to games and gamers, there is a lot of security features in the os, + any you install. It is 100% advised you keep these installed and on, they are there for a reason, it is just a case of setting them up to accept APB . the game is 10 years old so a lot of security applications dont recognise the game or see it as a danger to os. Common pointers here, 1 - Check your OS Firewall & Defender for application access 2- Check your Antivirus, malware, and any other security software, they tend to run "hips", "sandbox", "netguard" and more, these can isolate the games run environment to stop it misbehaving. - Drivers and updates, make sure your OS is up to date, keep in mind that in recent times windows 10 updates has a habit of resetting your prefrences. so if you have a large service update, worth taking 5 mins to go through your os preferences. Gpu Drivers are a must when it comes to updates. same for other peripherals,. like sound cards and motherboard etc. you should also check your device manager and make sure all devices have the correct driver. a common mistake is that the os installs its own "windows version" of a driver, that never gets updated. DirectX and Netframework. two of the most common issues now with older games. it is always worth getting the latest version of Direct X and Netframework from Microsoft site, and install/update. As always between updates , driver installs/updates you should restart your computer, this will help your os configure its self but also allow you to reverse a step if you have any issues. doing to much at ones can cause corrupt files. Final bit... And iv said it in other threads. Windows 10 has its own "automatic" monitor support/controls as well as your graphics card package especially if your connected by display port. You will find running the game in full screen can cause some issues especially with vsync enabled, I can only put it down to how the os tries to support the graphics card and monitor. if you turn vsync off you might see screen tear, my best solution through testing is to run the game in "window mode" you can resize the window to be a few pixels less then your native res, or like i do i have a 4k desktop and run the game in the middle at 2560x1440 "2k" res. if you do this you can disable Vsync in game as its void in window mode, and tell your graphics controller to prioritise Vysnc for application = APB.exe More on this HERE ( although this Thread is for RTX it still works in theory for other gpus, i used to run a GTX980SC2) Hope that helps cast some light for you

Hi .. Appreciate that your having issues. the errors stated can be all related to one cause, or sometimes many, but for us to better help you we need to narrow down some information, so can you add some information regarding your system 1) PC Spec hardware - A) If Prebuild list its Manufacture & model Number + any hardware changes you have made. : Or B) If a custom build the Specs of your machine, as follows, Motherboard (Model): Processor (model): Memory (model + Capacity): Graphics Card (title + Model): Primary OS storage device (Type + model): Secondary if used for storing game files (type + Model) : Any peripherals items = Sound cards, capture cards, Operating system (type and version id) : 2) the run time environment , a) Was you playing the game with any applications recording/capturing or visual overlays for chat clients ? b) have you made or installed any new hardware to your compute since the game was installed ? c) Do you run any 3rd party Antivirus or Malware security applications that have updated since the last known working time the game ran ? d) do you run the game "vanilla" or via a modded launcher like "ADV"? ----- a quick point to check. On a "hunch" based of what you have already stated, its more related to "live events" where you are connecting to the server send/receiving packets., I would question Security Applications / Firewall etc.. including router firewall Nat. however this is just a "hunch" . gaming over wifi has got a lot better in recent years, but still has its issues in regards to hardware and configs. but with out the further information it will be difficult to help narrow down any one point. additionally i would say "have you taken your machine and directly connected to your router to test if you get the same issues at the exact same time of play" i know this is more difficult then said. but a simple issue with your wifi card/dongle could be the problem, drivers, signal, ..

    Litteraly unplay-able

hi @Bawes Good PC . its nice to have to much of everything right, intel 8c 16t 3.4ghz, 32gb ddr4, EVGA XC3 ultra RTX3070, Creative AE-5+, and 5 ssds + 1 hdd. and we play a 10year old game. oh and nice sound card you will like the AE-5+. it is correct that apb only supports 4gb of system memory, you could actually load the entire game in our amount of memory. Anyway.. So a few pointers. from easy to a bit more tricky . Iv tried to keep this short but with info to back my madness. (I have to state : all actions are your own accountability, I am only sharing my own experiences.) 1) Check your windows Firewall, just to make sure you have allowed the game access. common issue. and windows updates can reset applications. this would also apply to defender and AV / AM ,as they all now monitor applications activity and acces to memory + storage devices. so you may need to allow the application to run to gain access. again a 10 year old game, some security applications dont know what apb is. LOL 2 Part 1) RTX 2060 is known to be an issue, more than 3k , although there isnt enough 3k out there yet. this is covered in the "sticky Topic" of which i covered a huge section about some testing i have done. setting the gpu to "application controlled and creating a 3dm profile for apb," this if done right, and setting your gpu to a "normal" powermanagement state - performance state, plus other options will drastically help, why? unknown, we believe Nvidias boost overclock feature throughs the game,. also some other "theories" I say if done right because to many people miss a step rushing through or not taking note correctly. note to this, a lot of "Youtube Techies" state to put your gpu and Pc to "maximum performance" this is ok if your benchmarking, but games dont always like this 2 Part 2) I would try running the game in a window mode like iv stated in the "sticky Topic" . this is down to windows 10 and nvidia handling your display / monitor when running applications "fullscreen". you can simply run apb in a window a few pixels below full res,. check the topic states how to sync frames of the game, instead of the game doing it. after a game or two you wont notice the difference . 2 part 3) Drivers & Direct X .. I found first hand about this many times and i never learnt my lesson until it hit me hard with the 900Series and again with the 3070.. and swear by it now. if you get a new gpu , always do a clean os install when upgrading your system. as so much of the os windows 10, Direct X is tied into the operation of gpu hardware and Drivers. Obvious right. This is especially if your gpu supports DX12 Ultimate. I found installing my 3070 into an os with none Dx12U features caused chaos.. and the only solution is to do a fresh install, installing the os into the new GPU environment for the go. so if your 2060 has been playing up since any of the dx12u features have been enabled or an nvidia driver update inline with w10 service update. this could be your issue. "could" being the word. ( I would leave a full os reinstall as your very very last option, although i myself do this annually to the latest version of os and to keep the system super smooth.) 3 part 1 ) running the game on your OS Primary drive will always be an issue. so this has been a known issue for ages. yet many still run the game like it. just about all games after dx9a could be installed to a secondary drive. although modern games seem to be ok with running on "C:" you will always get better performance on a secondary storage device, as your os + other applications have to "seek, read write" your C primary thousands of times a minute. 3 part 2 ) through running my own tests of APB on SSD or on HDD, I have actually found the game runs better on HDD, sata3 7200rpm .. I have no answer why.. but on 4 machines the game on SSD chokes. 4) [this is rare, old "I.T tales" but always worth a check], a long time ago it used to be a big no no to mix amd with nvidia on boards not specifically stating support for nvidia., it has been said more recently now that amd are resource sharing there own cpus with there own gpus, it would be worth going into your bios and check your motherboard is correctly configured for your gpu, this being pci-X 16 v3 or v4, but correct voltage and interface spec. also check your OS configuration for this, you can load up NVC > help > system information or get the free gpuZ app. not doubting this the issue. as you may play other games. but its something worth checking if youv had issues else were.

  10. Hey @hateweaver Check this topic RTX Series Issues . Done a load of testing around this issue and similar. with some great results. worth a look .
  11. Hello all. Just a small pointer for you.. If you have just installed the game with no Prior version or installation to your system.. then Windows 7 & 10 will pop up a "firewall request" behind the game. if you do not action this it will disappear and be left as "un-defined" ie disabled. so it is worth checking in your "windows - Firewall settings" ., windows 10 (depending on version) you can simply type in the start menu "allow app through windows firewall" and an settings window will be available. secondly and most common, check your "security applications" which ever you run, most have built in firewalls. hips, netguard etc and can limit the games access to the outside world and also to your computers hardware. third is then router access, if it is setup to support bandwidth load, router firewall, etc. this is more advanced and you will need direct access to the routers firmware. not something you should change if you are unsure. in all cases you will be able to load the game and have a "stable connection" in the menu lobby but when the game then connects to servers you will begin to have issues.
  12. Add some more info to your problem.. 1) what is your monitors native supported Resolution and Refresh Rate hz (fps) ? 2) In your first line you state you "change the resolution to 1600px " that is only one aspect of the resolution? you need to clarify the rest , also was this in full screen or window? 3) in your second line you state "change to Full resolution" this is a void statement, "full resolution would be based of your screens native resolution which is #?? and depends on full screen or window 4) In your Third line you need to clarify in more detail like line 1 and 2. In terms of help .. MonkaS is very correct but Id also say slightly wrong . the mentioned file is only a tiny part of the puzzle. so there is not multiple arguments between files you can simply Delete the Folder "config" follow the steps. 1) locate Installation_Directory_location \APB Reloaded\APBGame\ > folder "Config" and delete this folder ( you can also right click rename this folder = "Bk_ Config" ) 2) load up the game via the launcher . > APBLauncher.exe (NOT THE APB.EXE) and then click "options " at the bottom and then "repair" . the game will scan its files and re-download default files required. This should restore the game back to "default" or "vanilla", you may have to adjust other game options back to how you prefer, ie sound, mouse, etc.

    Warning Battleye

Hello .. Ok so I would never trust BE to respond quickly, especially given the "global situ" So I would say your issue is directly with APB first. So I would look at their Ticket Support system. be honest and frank, explain your situ like you have to me, be polite and understanding that it may not be their top priority. reference what you feel is evidence is just to support your case. if you have provided all the correct information for the ticket they will be able to take the right action to review your acc. you will still need to state the criteria i listed above. Id also state you had been streaming for that long, "ghost Reporters" of cheaters is a real thing were people simply report players falsely for no actual reason even if they haven't played against them - why? jealousy maybe they don't like that someone else is good or can stream? or they don't like something you said so they target you. one of the issues with APBS report system, one would hope it detects if you've played against the person your reporting. BUT dont take the ticket as a done deal. IT IS NOT A "UN BAN ME TICKET" system.. they may simply not get back to you, if you feel it is worth the try and time, then be patient once you have. hope you believe in karma. I do, why I happily support others.
  14. This is for dev's to view .. again.. and FYI (for your information) all oppo names have been blanked, this is not an accusation, it is for hardware/ performance future improvements and awareness review "purpose" . an oppo that owned 4 of us easy as a rank 009 trainee, (and im not a pro, neither the other team members) second match against "it" I really studied its movements, it could easily drive around and navigate small spaces with lots happening ie explosions and was moving aiming cleanly, so clearly there was no lag issues, but as soon as it came to any combat / firing etc they were able to begin jumping/teleporting, extra info , My self an others in the mission had great connections, no lag "spikes" or "stutters", and this was visible/taking place to them (my fellow players) as well, so it rules out our end as clients, and leaves server/that players client to question. additionally it was only this one opp, the Oppo player still had great aim, with normal lag you would expect them to miss some shots or be miss firing, even with "intentional laggers" they would have a small miss fire jumping around that much but not this one. .. also with normal lag or laggers you would expect them to be aiming away or off centre but hitting the tarket.. how ever you can see the aim is near perfectly on point each time. even with the split milly second the players has adjusted and is aiming in point. Also the distance each teleport is equal. so its not at random. watch the clip.. this happened multiple times but this was the most cleanest example. and once they had got the kill they would return back to normal until the next confrontation.. This is also not the first I have seen players move like this in the recent weeks, Able to move like Neo or Agent Smith.. Very concerning for the future of the game.
  15. hmm... well , I'd rather they use the time and ue4 engine to its strengths and have this fixed by then instead of now. but a silly issue none the less.
