I will always and forever love the PMG. I loved it in the past when the bloom was the size of a football field. I love it now. You could nerf it to oblivion and I'd still enjoy it.

3 Stupid things that make apb less enjoyable.
CrocodileTears replied to NIKIZ's topic in General Discussion Archive
The issues that plague this game are not modifications for cars and characters. The issues that are above and beyond what lie in this game are mostly community based with some server stuff. Yes, the servers are crap and they're trying to fix it. But seriously, stop with the racism. Stop with all the trash talk. Stop attempting to be edgy. Stop taking yourself so seriously and trying to project it onto others. It's just a game. We're here to have fun and compete as cops versus robbers. It's that simple. Stop being spiteful to others and instead put your best foot forward and JUST MAYBE this game will turn around in due time. -
Support Pulled Through!
CrocodileTears replied to CrocodileTears's topic in General Discussion Archive
Well hopefully that will change. It would seem that would be the bare minimum one would think. -
It's your fault you bought G1C this week. They stated about a month ago they were going to revamp the Armas marketplace and make changes. Anyone who didn't heed that as a warning that g1c/prices were being changed are mindless.

All, Good evening. As some of you may have seen from this post here, I had an issue with missing legendaries from my account being compromised. This post is an update and hopefully some sort of hope with your unresolved tickets. For those of you who didn't click the link above, my account was accessed from Vietnam on 4-12-17. I obviously don't live there. I didn't even know the date the issue occurred until this new ticket. I sent in a ticket the first time I logged in after that had happened on 7-22-17. My ticket then was basically ignored by Puck. I made another ticket in October after I tracked down all of my purchases all the way back to December of 2012. Again nothing was done. Fast forward to 5-26-18 and I created yet a new ticket. I lost over a dozen legendaries and around 17 mil between my characters. No modifications, cars, etc were ever affected. Support and I have had 34 messages back and forth over the past month. This brings us to today. I just received two legendaries (my Yukon and Ursus) out of all the things I was missing. You can see the screenshot here. I could only tell you 6 legendaries I know for a fact had at this point. But the two I wanted back I made a compromise with support for. Since the information they keep on hand is currently only 3 months (!), Selali and I came to a compromise that I would receive 2 non-tradable legendary weapons, which you can see in the picture that I finally received today. All in all, this is finally over. The new support is here to help, so give it time. It may have taken me multiple escalations and five weeks to get an acceptable resolution, but here I stand happy and content. Be respectful and you'll get some help. Thank you Selali and Salacia for your help. Dixie, if you're out there reading this, I'm sorry you aren't around to help us anymore, but you actually did try to do stuff to help me as well, and for that I thank you. Best regards, CrocodileTears

Forgot to mention (sorry, long day), I wasn't able to repair the files through Steam for some reason, so I uninstalled and reinstalled fresh, restarted my PC and nothing worked. I don't use a VPN. Not sure what was going on with it but it was probably server side. I was able to watch Youtube videos, chat in Discord, play Overwatch and browse the internet just fine.

I wasn't able to get into any district at all. I was able to log into the game, message people, but not connect at all to anything. I'm not sure what happened, but everything works fine now.
-
As the title says, I'm currently stuck in an endless loop of connecting to a district. At the time of this posting, there's been 6 minutes that have passed with me staring at the loading screen. Figured I'd verify game files but Steam wouldn't let me for some odd reason, so I uninstalled and reinstalled game files. That didn't work, so I restarted PC because why not... didn't work. Any other ideas what's going on or are we just having a bad night in game and can't handle additional players?

How about no more zombies? The genre is played out.

First Thing That Should Of Been Done
CrocodileTears replied to DieselnotPetrol's topic in General Discussion Archive
They're doing things right. If you didn't notice, APB was basically dead. By unbanning most of the players that were banned either justly or falsely, they're going to increase their player base. This will look good on Steam and any other tracker out there that more people are logging in. Whether those people take their second chance to play legitimately is another thing. After the first stage is done, they're free to move forward with better server upgrades to keep the new players. Add in updates to the game and new content, and baby we've got a stew going. -
I'd prefer a secondary sawed off shotgun that has an obvious large amount of damage but much shorter range than an actual shotgun.

RE: Tracking Customer Support [LOL]
CrocodileTears replied to ShadowXS's topic in General Discussion Archive
Criticize the support all you want, but I'm going to chime in my two cents here. I made a forum post not too long ago bringing attention to the fact that support didn't help me and that they only keep roughly 3 months of information on hand. Some will say it was me complaining about support, which I guess could be easily seen that way. I didn't have that intention when I made the post. I've had 31 back and forth messages between myself, Dixie and Selali. I've found more information from how my account was compromised than I heard from Puck, who did an abysmal job. Salali has found out that my account was accessed from Vietnam waaay back in April of 17. I created a ticket in July of the same year (3 months) and was refused to be helped by Puck. I reopened another ticket after this new system was put into place. Selali has been nothing but kind and dug for more information than I would've ever expected. My ticket still remains unsolved. This isn't by fault of the customer support. It remains open due to the fact that I lost A LOT of legendary weapons and in-game currency. With that said, LO needs some credit for what they're doing right now. The amount of tickets that have been opened since 5/25 is a large amount, and the fact that over 50% of them are resolved with the majority of the rest of them being worked on/waiting on responses is pretty impressive. If you feel like you're being ignored by support, just keep waiting til they respond. If they send an automated message, reply back to it. If the case closes without a resolution, open another one and keep at it until they help you or give you some information. LO is already better than the previous owners of the game. All we have to do is wait to see if they live up to their word in terms of the engine upgrade and future plans. Until then, just give them a chance. -
They literally updated the issue with support in the pinned post at the top of the forum. I've been working (unsuccessfully) with support over the past few days attempting to retrieve items that were taken away off my account. I've had 5 or 6 interactions today alone on it, so they're working through the issues.

Fix Bishada Rapier, please *puppy face*

Ever run with a VIP/item from a capture & hold? It moves significantly faster than the others and with the addition of nitrous, you're able to reach that speed faster. -
/fpsdetail, Clotting 3 100% Again?
CrocodileTears replied to ShadesofGrey's topic in General Discussion Archive
The notoriety system would be fine if the N5/P5 was awarded as soon as the mission was over or while outside the mission (from ram raiding or arresting an N5.) At the same time, it should spawn a bonus mission to kill/arrest X amount of people or stay alive for X amount of time. The reward could be something minimal like a consumable or cash. -
I really enjoy when Vivoxx doesn't close down properly when you turn off APB to only find out when you try to boot it up again later and it says the game is still open. Then you have to ctrl/shift/esc and close it out. Maybe I'm just lazy.

Fix Bishada Rapier, please *puppy face*
CrocodileTears replied to Boba's topic in General Discussion Archive
The vehicles really need to be looked at. Bishada and Jericho have issues if the wheels touch anything and decides to challenge physics. The Cisco is a paperweight at the very best. The jeep's handling is just dumb (also, they need to bring back the old bouncy jeep.) The Coywolf is still a bit OP. The ones that seem to be where they should be are the Vegas, Pioneer/Van and the Mikro. The rest just seem odd in terms of how they handle or accelerate. -
It does get annoying typing callouts, but then again, it's quite frustrating that the voip uses it's own process outside of the game that requires you to go to your sound mixer and change the volume separately...

This time it was Dixie and not Puck. It doesn't prove exactly that I owned the legendary weapons, however, it gives them a date and time to reference the account. But what it does show is that I had bought many boxes in the past and stopped after various amounts, amounts of which would indicate that I finally received the item I was looking to get. The first day the nanos came out, I opened enough boxes to get nanos on both my crim and enforcer. IF they had the information backed up and saved for a decent amount of time and not a shorter period, then it would be relevant. Hell, they could have pulled up logins with that information and saw that someone other than myself logged into my account. Crocodile tears are fake tears. I'm not crying about anything. Crap happens, but like any other person who has lost an item in-game from either a bug, exploit, etc, they would want it back. It so happens that I lost my items out of my control and I would like them back. It can't be difficult to understand my point of view on this. I couldn't tell you how someone gained access to my account. I have no idea. I did have my email used in various forums/etc in the past, but not the same password. My password was 11 digits with uppercase/lowercase/numbers/symbols.

Sure, you certainly are justified to say whatever you want. How you come across though is another thing. My post isn't being made to complain about support in its entirety. If you look closely and actually read it, you'll see that I provided some information. Maybe, perhaps, someone will find that information useful. I love your use of quotes on the word "lost." Support can look into my account's history and see the login attempts, I'm sure. I provided them with physical addresses in my initial email. You would think they'd be able to use that information to look into it. They also have my purchase history, and in that they'll see that I kept buying JMBs when the nano came out and stopped at a certain point. Geez, I wonder why that is. I did the same thing for the Yukon and other guns. I bought the things until I got the gun I wanted. Also, I'm curious how you remember me from 2 years ago. The people I had issues with at the time seem to have resolved themselves or are even forgotten. Maturity is a fuzzy bunny. It seems you have yet to figure that out. Edit: I love the swear filter replacement here.

Did I complain about a length of time it took for my ticket to be resolved? I created the ticket the day it was changed in hopes I'd get some sort of response other than the standard we can't find information blah blah. What I did say is the support is the same. Sure, Matt Scott admitted that support has issues. It takes a lot to admit that. I admire him for doing it. Hell, I've put 63.8 hours into the game (some idle of course) over the past 2 weeks according to Steam. I have every high hope that the game will be fixed and be fun to play again. But that still leaves me disappointed. According to Steam, I have 5,170 hours total in APB since I started playing. I provided every purchase receipt (Paypal/Steam) to support dating back to 12/24/2011, except for 3 or 4 Skrill payments. Now, go ahead and be as toxic as you want. In no way did I flame LO for doing a lousy job at running the game in the month they've owned it. All I did was make a post to bring awareness about the fact that what's yours in game can be stolen by someone else and you won't ever get it back. Oh, and to hopefully catch the eye of someone other than a GM through an email. I remember yours. <3

So, like many of you, I've been skeptical of the new regime and their plan of attack with server lag, cheaters, etc. I was also really curious how their support system would play out. From my experience already, the quality is the same as before. Apparently there's only so much information that is kept on-hand and giving purchase history all the way back to 2012 isn't enough to help solidify claims. Lesson learned: take a screenshot of everything you have before you take a long break with a timestamp in the picture. For those unaware, I took a break for an extended length of time from late July/early August of 2016 until earlier this year when I popped back in-game to play with a few people. My account was compromised and my legendary weapons were gone. (Edit: The people who took the stuff off my account left one email in a character's mailbox. This is how I know it was compromised and that I didn't just forge to claim my stuff from the mailbox.) The items that I for a fact know I had were a Yukon, Ogre, Ursus, Kommandant: Hearts, Volcano, Sitting Duck and quite a few huntresses as well as odds and ends of grenade launchers. LO, I'm not even looking to be made whole again. I don't care about the lesser weapons as long as I can get my Yukon, Ursus and Ogre back. My hope with this post is to make awareness to others and perhaps to get more than a single GM to look at my case. Perhaps a new community manager *wink* could talk with me about this whole thing seeing that I have multiple people who played that knew I had a lot of things. Whether or not this post gets flamed or ignored, I don't care. If it helps a single person from losing items that they spent a ton of time earning, then it proves to be successful.

I'm also seeing an extended time on a ticket that I created. But it looks like they admitted their mistake and said their team was too small on the customer support side and have hired additional people as well as working weekends to try to decrease the tickets. Obviously this isn't going to fix my ticket right now, but I respect and admire the fact that they are owning their mistakes early on and giving resolution to them promptly.

My question is in regards to the in-game marketplace and storage. Is there any way to stop the spam of super high unobtainable prices or maybe give additional storage? The ones I mean are the 2156742312 numbers that people are just using as extra space for storage. People are obviously using the marketplace to store a weapon/symbol/etc for 7 days then have the item go to their mailbox. I find it crazy that we have to use different means to store items. Mailboxes, marketplace, alternate characters and accounts all just seem to be too much.
