  1. isn't the reason we got (or were supposed to get) overkill servers which were special overclocked builds, because the servers could not run a district on more than one core? Shouldn't this be a major thing of the engine upgrade affecting server performance by making a district run on multiple cores? or does the engine upgrade not contain this feature?

  5. not having tracers made a few wepaon pretty OP, like snipers, especially with the blood effect/hit indicators not even being correctly shown giving real ndication anymore where a shot came from onc eit's past 80m and the map doesn't show a opponent anymore.
  6. hopefully the engine and with this. more stable gameplay taffic lights working again tracers back LOD restored (becaue they lowered it somewhen for better client performance) then as it is soemthign they consider: server independend characters servercrossing Matchmaking very cool would be increased customisaton possibilities on chars and cars, those things would be really cool to happen within this and the next year.

  8. whats the fuzz about the "old" threat system we basically have the old one with hidden 30 stages of gold to bronze. and the bloom, only of it's an optional setting, all those 10.000W bulbs people used back then were really too unhealthy for the environent and their eyes.
  9. And here it is again, since we hadn't one iin a while. Short story for Matt and LO. Once uppon a time there was a little car called "Han cellante" it was available for players as the a starter car. Unfortunately little Cellante was really crappy and people didn't liked it, So it was replaced with the Calabria. Then some time latter a little car appeared as an NPC vehicle. This little car is a renewed NPC version of the Han Cellante as Trexxon Special, and while little Cellante was away it trained hard to be better now. I really would like that car to be available again to players with the changes they did because the car drives great nowdays, even if it isn't the top of the line I speed or durability. It also has great potential for customisation as the back is having no window and is a pretty big.

I dunno, usually there is a number that counts upwards at the end, it feels like in the case of the calabria G1 already amde the mistake to count the first number upwards instead of the last one. As said at one point they broke the system for whatever reaosn creating a mess. @Nafryti seriosuly, the work to make this car was minimal, all they had to do is take some guy form the graphics department (which isn't main workload on the engine upgrade), probably one form LO theyare going to lern working for APB now and let them deisgn it and then some minor effort of a coder packing this into an own car. Which mostlikely is a copy paste job. That's really not much effort at all.

  13. I only see people with carspawner yet. does it really have 3 customizeable slots? thats pretty good. the calabria is fun don't let people trashtalk it.
  14. the players I see with it only have a carspawner in it so I think it is a one slot version, therefore should be 227 as OP said it should be.
  15. well how many open and filled mods does it contain? this decides whihc number it hsould have.
  16. And I can't lose the feeling that a lot of the documentation was just softwired in the heads of some devs. that caused quite a mess here and there when those left and others worked on it. R.I.P traffic lights, R.I.P tracers

  18. g1 broke that, 127 was and is by the logic of slots the 0 slot cars number. When G1 decided newbies should have a little help and the starter car was given the car spawner no one remembered that logic and so they just forgot to change the numer to fit their logic. which then corretly would have been 227. Just go to the kiosks and check the broadwings for exple. basic car is 110 every slot adds a 1 till you are at 114. every preset broadwing lists the number correctly in relation to how many slots are filled. "Broadwing B101 patrols" has a single installed mod and that is exactly how the number logic is supposed to be.

But the inconsistency seemed to have happened with the starter calabria already? because it is a 127 with a car spawner so that one should already be a 227. And this happened when they took the old 127 starter car and slapped the car spawner in it. But the 127 would have to eman 0 slots. Ok, I just had a look at stuff ingame, looks like G1 screwed up a lot with the newer cars. In the car kiosk when buying a car the old logic gave the car the name of it's model and number, which indicated the slots. However the subtext only listed the model like this <Car Model> <Number> <Car model> Then later cars have this broken, as the subtext suddenly included the number, but didn't include the correct number see here at the Han veo Below it is the Joker vegas already havign the issue the new cars have. They show also the number, but it keeps not up with the cars number. But honestly, if the new system would be adjusted it would be better since currently your garage looks like this: So when you rename your cars, you cannot see anymore which true car it actually is (see my car named "hunting Bee" or the Bishada Kissaki) the subtext of my vegas is wrong because it is a G24, and the Kissaki just like the old system lists only the car model, so I cannot see how much slots it has. Sure usually you know your cars, but generally it would be better if they rework that and give the subtext the correct <Modelnamme> <Number> wher ethe number is slotrelated and not a fixed relatioj to the basic 0 slot model. my battle bee for example is now incorrectly sublabelled as 127 because it has 4 slots.

  21. the N word actually is in the list of antisocial ones too. 'f*** yourself' gives you 'that clan name is already in use' In that case you better rstrict nearly all regular terms because most of them are used like that, even "GG" in apb has more of a bad meaning in most times it is used than in good ones. Actually in general it started being seen more negatively than positively. I started to realise that when I played MWO and loads of newbies started complaining why they get GG'd and felt insulted while in MWO a gg is just a regular good game with serious meaning.
