NikkiCasinoKnows 44 Posted January 10, 2019 (edited) Leveling contacts in Waterfront can be troublesome, even on peak hours, not even considering that some players have different times and schedules. Some important modifications, weapons, etc etc, are locked behind these contacts. Because you have to level both Financial and Waterfront contacts to even progress towards +195 modifications, weapons, etc etc, a lot of stuff from Waterfront and indirectly Financial is gated like this. Pre-making enforcer & criminal level boosting groups are currently a valid tactic for Waterfront, which isn't fun or possible for just all, or even in the spirit of the game, it's just a player made solution. To be quite honest even for Financial contacts or an APB with overflowing districts the suggestion following below wouldn't be an offensive or counter-productive thing to do; people will still have roles, achievements, farming, threat, designing, etc, as designations to play the game. Premium would still be preferred to progress what isn't skipped (XP), earn APB$ money, customization boosts and extras, activated abilities cooldown, the Armas discount and even Armas trials. In fact being able to skip some of the contacts might make people who want to spend money on your game play and spend more. Play how you like, make more alt re-roll characters, etc. And all of it would just be optional to purchase for customers. So here it is;Please consider adding contact level boosters / contact skippers to Armas. And duh you don't have to introduce these ridiculously cheap, I'd say just make them competitive with buying premium time. Heck, you could even limit the amount you can buy per account. It would be pay to progress contacts, not pay to win and could be a valid new source of income for Armas. Please consider adding something like this. Thanks. mtz 496 Posted January 10, 2019 Every Tier 1 contact requires total standing of 7,500 to max out. Every Tier 4 contact - 180,375 to max out. Every Leader - 288,750 to max out. Every Specialist - 716,300 to max out. Pray tell, how do you imagine this would work? As in, how would you execute the part with boosting/skipping? Are there any limits to who can be skipped? How many skips can be bought/used per character/account? Would the price vary depending on which contact is meant to be skipped? Doesn't this essentially remove half of the game (R195 -> R255) if someone pays to skip their Specialists? Hard pass from me. I get that APB's monetization is largely "pay for convenience", but taking it to such an extent feels like a bad idea.
Fortune Runner 796 Posted January 13, 2019 I do not like this. feels like a cheat code to skip content sort of thing
Latsha 71 Posted January 13, 2019 holy shit the game industry really seems fully rotten with microtransactions by now it has got to a point where people don't even want to play the game and just want to pay to skip chapters rock-hard pass on this onePS they could make contacts levellable globally or in both mission districts if you dislike or just simply can't level characters in one due to low population
WhiskeyTangoFoxX 280 Posted January 13, 2019 I know WF is not exactly the most fun district in the world, but it's not so bad that you have to bypass it completely like that (imo anyway.) Aside from that, throwing money at the problem because it's not working right now is also no good. Yes, on Jericho leveling WF contacts is next to impossible and completely impossible outside of prime time. Yes, WF has some serious balancing and spawn issues. No, just adding a monetary bypass to the progression of a game is not a good idea, as a matter of fact it's terrible. I will never understand why these days it's considered okay to pay to not play the game.
