Is there any hope that inventory / marketplace system will ever be reworked

I've been here for 10+ years, I know nothing is going to change and I havent played the game in months either, but I've been just thinking about APB today, coming back from time to time and making some designs for fun and to freshen up APB world but each time I think about it I get traumatised

 

I say this as someone who has sold countless clothes and symbols on marketplace, made hundreds of different designs... marketplace and inventory management might be the biggest thing that put me off this game. 

This is sort of my plea that im sure many other designers are face, hoping that developers might hear and at least have a little sympathy for it, to alleviate it in any possible way.

 

 

Every single time I try to design something, I have to:
- First clear out my inventory by sending out clothes to my mail by cancelling them on marketplace
- I have to check if those clothes are not ones I usually sell or I'm wearing on different outfit
- Save inventory slots for other clothes that might fit the new item for preview
- Save extra slots for different colors / versions of new item to test out with different combinations

 

Then I have to clear out my symbol inventory:
- Check which symbols i usually use and make sure they are there and not sent to mail by accident
- Save space for symbols that i use on regular as my graffitti
- Save space for symbols i use on designs usually such as textures, logos, etc
- Save extra space for flipped, mirrored, different effects etc new symbol
- Save space for at least 5-10 new symbols if I'm making a new outfit
- Properly name symbol in detail so I can find it in mail in case I need it later

 

Now if i want to sell something, I need to:
- Either clear 1 slot and manually look for items one by one
- Or somehow clean 20 spots and make sure all my other items are bound so these new items are easy to post
- Refresh my listing's every single day

 

So when i get an urge to design something in game, I have to go through my clothes and symbols like going through piles of clothes or pile of pokemon cards, just to remove ones that I don't need at the exact moment, and to put them on even bigger pile, where one day I might find them. And I'm apparently closesighted too because I have to manually look at each one to see what it looks like, and I also cannot see this in mail either without claiming it. God forbid there was at least a textual search system for names i tried to give. Also if I try sending designs to a storage account, I have to claim them within 30 days...

 

On top of that, a game which has only a handful of marketplace active designers left, firstly I have to clock in the game daily... and imagine this instead of game just letting me press a button to refresh my listing, I have to manually pick it up from mail and post it again.

 

So me trying to design something for fun in 10-30 minutes is locked behind 30 minute match of playing the sorting game, where i lose every time, and the game gets harder and harder. Every single joy of designing has been taken away by this game's such horrible way to manage its inventory, which punishes you for trying to experiment or create something.

as much as I hate praising csgo... the storage unit thing is pretty cool

it takes up 1 slot in your inventory and you can put any items in it

it would be nice if I could store all 7 symbols from my sonic obama harry potter shirt in a container and it would take up only 1 inventory slot

still my inventory would fill up eventually but at least I wouldn't have to put all 7 symbols on the market and cancel them one by one

 

a preview for items in your email would be nice too, I mean bundles in your email already have previews

and why is the preview for a symbol 50x50 pixels? it's near useless

yeah it's incredibly annoying but if you could just put everything back up with 1 click (possibly for longer than 1 day) then trolls could clog up the market with garbage with 0 effort

agree with the OP, but nothing will change, this game is cooked.. just try to enjoy whatever is left, unlikely we'll get anything exciting
