So I had this crazy idea.

New Legendary

  1. 1. Should I put in a suggestion for a new legendary weapon with a unique modification that stops enemies from sprinting for a limited amount of time based on HP when shot- Numbers only count for how much OTHER weapons have tagged someone, and it only works ONCE per person you shoot. (as in it won't slow down someone you shoot who has full HP, but if they have say 90% HP, it stops sprinting for .9 seconds, 40% HP, it stops them from sprinting for .4 seconds, 10% HP .1 seconds)?

 tbh if ltl wasn’t already so underpowered i’d want the low stamina effect removed from that as well

it would fit far better on a new unique legendary gun but it’s something that’s either going to be overpowered or useless tbh, anything that slows movement in apb is pretty much a death sentence

The thing is, I feel like that's something the game needs right now. I'm tired of playing this dull meta where it's just meh.... like Matt said in the Q&A.... wouldn't it be better to explore ways different weapons could be MORE overpowered in certain situations? The reason I would say this idea fits an Oblivion is because it fits the concept in it's description. "Fast-firing and pinpoint-accurate, the S-247 ensures that no matter how far you run, the steady hand of oblivion will be coming for you." 

Hell I was up for that crazy idea back in like 2012 where they were talking about making the HVR only firable in a stationary crouched position after .4 seconds, but it would be 1000 DMG per shot.

I don't know, I think given the views of most of the community here, I've come up with an interesting implementation that would have good team tactical uses, as well as not destroy the game or be too over powered, especially considering that this only works on one shot per player, and it has reverse scaling based on whether or not they were already tagged by your secondary or someone else, it would give people a reason to carry around low TTK weapons, and diversify gameplay quite a bit.

My problem with the polls is this... what good is seeing what 1% of the community thinks?
Most players don't use the forums, and even of those that do, most aren't going to vote.

Well if we're going for the realist view here, this entire post is pointless because what I'm proposing is a coding nightmare and it'll never happen.
I try to stay away from those dark revelations in the depressing depths of my brain.

I think that this technically is already implemented. We have the stamina system (used by LTL) and weapons already have a stamina damage. 

Now, do I think that this should be implemented as you have described? No, as the game's meta, and it's processes shouldn't be changed to emulate another game (Counter Strike) in a manner that the two games are not similar.

Well... with only 8 people who voted... that seems like a majority of people.

I merely was wanting to contribute to the conversation...?
Although, I do wish stamina damage would have more of an effect. 
You just had 85% of your health knocked out of you. Should you really be able to run full speed?... Edited by Sergsininia

Jokes aside, this system works in CS because in most cases a player stands completely still to shoot accurately, APB is much more fast paced when it comes to shooting, especially in CQC so I don't think a system like this would work.

Yeah well thats for joker carbine but any weapon that needs marksman gets the slow pace.

We've had proper polls with pretty strong participation counts though haven't we? Like that Car Spawners poll from some time ago

I dunno how we'd solve the "forum members are a minority of any playerbase" issue but a well thought-out poll and discussion topic can be useful

also the day the Oblivion gets any kind of slow-down mechanic to it is the day it eclipses the ISSR-B and ObeyaCR both

Doesn't Less Than Lethal already do this in a way, by draining your stamina points? .-. I know if you 90 a crim with LTL they cant sprint for a short bit.

We really don't need people calling ideas "trash."

That being said, this game does not need more gimmicks. It needs refinement, and more content in general.
