  1. I'm going to copy/paste something I just mentioned in another thread. (Also MattScott, would you please check your private messages on the forum.) Remove the threat system altogether. People don't need to know if others are gold, silver, bronze or whatever. If you play most shooter games, you connect to a server & play the people that you're playing. End of story. if you're with a good group of players and get newer players as back up, that gives you a chance to show them how to play right. It gives you an opportunity to improve leadership skills. If you're a newer player & get better players as back up, that gives you an opportunity to learn from tactics you might not be aware of. People put too much emphasis in thinking other players are drastically this much better or worse, this is psychologically damaging & dampening to the spirit of playing games. It subconsciously keeps people from playing to their full potential infusing comparative mentalities to one's own abilities; much like the flaw with social media. The only way to get good at things in life is to get your patootie kicked in it, period. That's the entire concept behind training & practice. This isn't an easy game to level up in a hurry. This game takes a lot of time, over that time people will get better by practice & communicating ideas and tactics on the forums or their VoIP servers with comrades. Threat is the nuttiest idea & the fact that so many people still support it or any other balancing & matchmaking system is mind-boggling. This has been debated for years & it's absolutely pathetic that it's still an issue.

  3. While I really like some of the symbols on Crim side towards the later progression here, the later enforcer ones from this list could be a bit better. Perhaps more accurate to military/law ranks perhaps? Also: I think it would be really cool if they incorporated a World of Warcraft like idea. What about unlocking a permanent , customisable vehicle (like a mount) for having progressed so far in the clan? For Enforcers, it could be a heavily armored/slow moving SWAT style truck or APC that has similar mechanics to the trash truck, slow to move, plows like a bulldozer but has room for 7x players (Maybe 5x w/ 1x being driver) w/ one of these slots including the driver, maybe not quite as slow. Crims could have some kind of equivelant or maybe a slightly different mechanic/style. A fast terrorist technical like truck or same thing, heavy/slow, lot of room. That way when you're thrown in as backup on a regular mission with more players than 4x, you can help the entire team out. Now what would make it really cool as if you could use that vehicle with regular people in the server if you're solo and just playing in a group that you get thrown into. Then it would cause regulars who aren't in a clan or newer to the game to ask, "What is this? It's really cool how'd you get this?" And getting them engaged & interested in more aspects of the game. What'chya think?
  4. Yes but you have to consider for the overall survivability of population of The Gaming community to communicate it would be a good idea. Yes they would be drastically different, but that's the next wave of things is people trying to get cross-platform servers more mainstream. Some people can't afford computers and strictly have consoles, yes there would be different gaps in skill level or abilities or performance, but sometimes that's all people have.

  6. I'm only asking to stop quoting each response because it adds unnecessary redundancy to eachnpost & for some reason people feel others are unable to retain the information from one post before, scroll back up or so on. The information is already recorded in the conversation. A simple reply will work in my opinion but we're all free to do as we wish I suppose. That is the part about role playing & doing your part. We choose the role of Enforcer or Criminal. Criminals want to try & be sneaky, getting away with easy money, which is on par with the real world dynamic of how crime really goes down. They think it's an easy buck until they get caught. I'm kind of surprised if you've played an enforcer for years that you adhere to that standard & would think in that manor. I would statistically assume that you would be more psychologically adept at playing a criminal in this case. Real world cops don't have an easy job, they have to be driven by a sense of duty. Something that a lot of people have forgotten about in the modern world. It is no different for any other profession that you choose whether it be legal or not. It's not a chore, I enjoy the patience of the hunt. It's very rewarding if you get to pop somebody & fight for the reward. If you want the easy way out, play criminal. If you'd like a personal challenge, play an enforcer. Since you agree there's no 90-100% relation to equality of mechanics; this should also be applied to the very essence of one's self & what they choose to play based off their veiws, opinions & feelings in each matter, including effort. I find this no different than picking your favorite character in a fighting or RPG game based off their style & that which appeals to you. Not everyone likes tanks or fast characters & there are always people who will argue certain classes they don't play shouldn't be granted abilities, but this is why we each pick what we gravitate towards.
  7. That would be awesome if they could cross platform the servers from PC to console as well. Especially if they can crank out the new engine tweaks and perhaps redo the UI & graphics in game. Then they could definitely push for a PS5 release. Might help bring some life into APB. We all know the dynamic is already here for a solid game, but it just needs the popularity from the limelight. I too would like to hear feedback on this. it's a shame that this was released on console in the state that it was for console, it really left a sour note in a lot of people's mouths from their reviews online that probably won't give it another shot unfortunately.
  8. Well you can continue to keep chasing them into the empty districts it's not that hard to check population and follow them. That's what I was attempting to do is show you how you would balance it for you, so there's no need to reiterate a vague open-endedness. It's not our job or place to cater to people so that they don't cry & play another game because they're choosing to be lazy & not risk looting populated servers. I don't understand that logic at all. If they wish to go play another game so be it, apparently a game like this isn't for them. Don't do the Blizzard entertainment approach of catering to every vocal-minority online that cries about an issue. Because people quickly find out that the people who actually play & stay committed to a game & support it, statistically do not represent the vocal minority of complainers. That is incorrect information, you can make hundreds of thousands of dollars in a couple hours almost a million if you do it right. All it takes is having a partner who is doing the same thing you are & when one of you are about to hit notoriety 5 you drive to the other one, let them turn in another vehicle, get notoriety 5 then kill him & take the money. You keep repeating this process so you are untouchable by Crims. When you are ready to turn in the money invite your friend to the group & haul patootie to the turn-in while notoriety 5 & it will split the cash with insane multipliers. Since each level of notoriety directly effects your rewards in-game.
  9. Negative. Come on you should know better than that. Use common sense, switching between the first weapon slot & second. I believe you knew the answer to that but just wanted to see if somebody would respond. Dual-weilding PIGs? = GG At least make the effort to read & use logic.
  10. Samurai attire, demonic/inhuman themed pieces such as shoulder horns & so on, construction hats/vests, chef aprons, mechanic overalls, astronaut gear & other professions relateable outfits, etc.
  11. While I've had this thought too, to be realistic I don't think this would happen because LTL would be stupid easy as an enforcer. But it would be fun to see some of the combinations like the RSA with a high mag scope & a nano & so on. Not that LTL already isn't stupid easy, it would just make it that much more easy.
  12. You can jump the crims looking for them in the empty servers just as easily & take their effort. That used to be one of my favorite things to do trying to hunt all those people trying to get away with easy money. Plus they get a little nervous & pissed off, then make mistakes if you spot them & they're worried they're going to lose all that cash they've spent so long getting. Statistically & psychologically it usually works out to your favor as long as you're a decent player.
  13. This is a horrible idea because it would balance cops to make a lot more money than Crims for a few different reasons. For starters, Crims can't witness Cops doing that, however if you allowed them to engage in a PVP action that was like witnessing to then engage a mini-mission so they could defend their territory so to speak, then it might be worth it however it's still highly unbalanced. Enforcers can make a hell of a lot more money by arrests through LTL & returning stolen vehicles. Especially with Premium. I played for years and make bank because of LTL. A PIG can be your best friend to rack up cash. if you find yourself unable to arrest a lot of people then you just need to practice a bit more, but you'll see that you'll make a lot of money & points from arrests. This point is moot & has been argued over the years several times. Try using LTL a lot more or forcing yourself to restrict your play to strictly arrests. Especially baiting Crims to uncuff their teammates because that's another easy arrest while they're busy. Therefore, more money. There's another element that people don't realize that 4cers can make money off of that's almost exactly like what you're talking about and it's already within the game. Do you realize how many vehicles are stolen from NPCs by Crims over the event of just one mission? Now think about ALL of the city & missions going on all the time. You can return those stolen vehicles into evidentiary lockup just like fencing for Crims with stolen goods. Especially armored trucks & the like will bring you higher dollar amounts (condition of vehicle matters too.) I've made a lot of money just returning stolen armored trucks & repairing them across the city or larger & nicer vehicles that are abandoned on the roads like Cisco's, etc. There's a reason that enforcers commandeer vehicles and criminals steal them when you look at the action text before you take an NPC's car. you can still tell this after the vehicle is abandoned by looking at it. Couple turning in stolen vehicles w/ LTL & cops make more money. Not to mention usually a hell of a lot more safely than crims.
  14. I feel ya'. However I was just offering advice, my friend. A master is only a master when they never stop learning. You're free to take it as you wish, understand it's not an attack on you. I realize from reading other posts of yours that this is a secondary language to you. Please don't feel you have to explain that every time somebody mentions something about the language you use. It's not Ann attack on you & there's need to get defensive. Some people are more than understanding. I also worked in an immigration prison before & dealt with people from all over the world. Which is why I had to explain the part about I would appreciate it if someone had helped me in earning a language or understand something I may not have seen. There are millions of people like you, you don't have to champion the cause each time because most people are unfeeling aholes online, lol. A lot of people are pretty cool. There are also a lot of people who aren't cool. Anyways, glad to chat with ya'. Also, learning more can never be a bad thing. If you learned the language to play games, the better you learn the language, the better you can communicate, the better you can play games with other people. Another thing about the logic in that is why aren't you playing the video games versus spending most of your time on the forums using this English language? That seems counter-intuitive. you're telling me you only learned the language to play games but feel compelled to spend a great deal of time communicating here & explaining yourself constantly. But I also have that problem with most people that seem to spend most of their time on the forums versus actually populating the servers within the game & making it more popular on Steam & everything else, then complain on the forums about population as they sit on here & not in the game. Each person helps contribute to that total # of players. As far as the casino District goes. Helicopters could be fun, but not involved in the casinos directly. Perhaps on buildings owned by the casino since they wheel & deal with millions of dollars like butter. If we don't do an entire city size map District, having a casino as a district like Asylum as a PVP-DM map would be pretty cool as well. But I feel we would be missing out on potential from not utilizing an entire city map. The addition of an airport would be a nice touch.
  15. Please start your own thread if you're going to add random ideas, chain. Not everyone else is a kid, also every other kid doesn't need to open their mouth just for the sake of being toxic & feeling a need to reply to everything when they have nothing intelligible to contribute. Azure, while I appreciate the enthusiasm & ideas; that was a hell of a post to quote, lol. Maybe just reply next time if it's a lengthy reply, my friend. I've explored stuff in the game over the years but have never found all the detail you've mentioned. I've also played back in 2014 & wasn't able to access anywhere you're mentioning. Those are unnecessary resources for the engine to render & I've seen through the world from glitches in all sorts of places. Where exactly are these elaborate detailed & finished rooms? Are you able to screenshot & verify? If they were a place before I doubt they are still. Also, not to be that guy but to totally be that guy; you only need to use "an" before a word starting with a vowel. An ocean, an apple & so on. An horse or an helicopter isn't correct & sounds atrocious. I mean no offense; just a bit of a writer & know I'd appreciate it if someone helped me out in learning language or pointed something out that I had missed. Apostrophe S isn't needed for the plural of something, it conveys ownership. Alright, I'm done. Cheers, -SJ
  16. Having been a former Surveillance Operator & investigator as well as Security & Main Cage Cashier for several years employed in a couple casinos, I can tell you that State Gaming Police commissioned by each state's Department of Revenue - Division of Gaming, patrol & have jurisdiction on gaming floors (Where gambling legally occurs & is allowed via table games or slot machines,) in casinos & only outsource to local PD when housing those arrested. They usually go in between casinos all day dealing with issues or investigations themselves. Armored truck personnel picks up the bank deposits after all the money's been counted in the count room which has effectively been pulled from the Drop Team who pull all the full bill validators out of all the machines & then locks them in giant metal cages with wheels. If they did do a Casino-District you would need to make casinos with hotel levels above them and also make it so that you could access the interiors of said casinos. A whole slew of missions could be custom-tailored around all the operations of a casino and at all their vulnerable points in time. Not to mention the surveillance room controlling their hundreds of cameras & refrigerated NVR (Network Video Recorders,) rooms with encoders & server hard-drive racks where all the network cable goes from each camera that could all be destroyed as part of criminal missions or the drop cages being targets in getting monies & so on. There are also restaurants, massive parking structures & frequent bus shuttles in which attacks, explosives or agents could be dispersed or VIPs vehicles could betargeted. There is more than enough material to work with if modeling after the real operations that occur in a casino's everyday routine. There are already casinos in both of the districts. Not enough that are in actual casino towns such as Blackhawk or Cripple Creek, Colorado for example, but they are in the game. Obviously they're not accessible in any form currently, however you can see & hear them. To populate the entirety of the city or District you'd need multiple large casinos & could fill in random skyscrapers & businesses; including banks across town from the casinos that armored trucks would have to be delivered to or intercepted by criminals before depositing a casinos profit. A couple of well-funded & maintained parks from casino donations wouldn't be far fetched either. Sorry; I felt it would be best to approach this subject fresh with solid information to keep the mindless bickering from detouring those legitimately interested in this idea. I support the Casino-District concept 100%.

  18. Curious if clicking the menu icon @ the top-right then clicking the conversation bubbles is the only way to tell if you have mail? Sent mail to couple people & wondering how hard it is for them to notice/see them.
  19. Agreed w/ Kevkov & Mitne. Without paying support, the game might not have survived as it had. I guess chancer was asking himself a rhetorical question. ;)
  20. Still haven't bought anything since Orbit took over yet & was curious how much I'd spent on G1C previously. Wrote down & calculated every purchase. Made purchases for only 2x years & thought it'd be fun to see how deep the sickness goes for others. I had spent 240,928 g1c, so: 240928÷400×5=$3,011.60 Since $5 was 400 g1c I believe. Any other addicts? What'choo got people?
