You're assuming the riot shield would cover the entire character. If anything, it would function like it does in Counterstrike. It would only cover maybe half of the total hitbox, at an angle (with the upper half of the hitbox being the more covered bit, which forces the attacker to control their recoil or waste shots). It also of course only covers from the front, which means the vastly more mobile shotgun user simply maneuvers to the flanks. If all that isn't enough to keep it balanced, could simply impose a movement penalty because it's a big ol' shield.

I just wish they'd add this to normal missions as a baseline. Give an increased amount for the test district, but those numbers in normal missions would be amazing. Even if you won every mission, it'd still take approximately 50 hours of gameplay to get 10k JT for the three slotters. -
Pretty much along the lines of what you'd want it for yea. Would be exceptional during sieges to help the main party push forward while the OPGL/EOL saturation is being brought down.

If that means I could get the Talon without the silencer, I'd be down. Amazing model, but not a fan of the massive tube slapped on the end. -

Could be interesting to see such a thing added, although I would rather see it as a primary weapon. Basically prevents the current "panic button" balance issue that Mobile Cover suffers, while allowing it to also be stronger than it would be as a consumable since you're sacrificing your primary weapon for it. Could even have the mods you slot into it instead apply to the secondary weapon, giving us the moddable secondaries we've always toyed with the concept of.

That went out the window with the three unannounced sales they've done since making that statement (back when Little Orbit originally took over the game last year). There could also be more that I missed, as they seem to be only a few days each and there's no announcement that they're happening. -
Care to make any comment at all about the APB_Catcher program spamming up our systems with endless instances of itself that never close on their own?

Same here. Regardless of my confidence in my educated assumptions (based on the combination of the paper stats and past gameplay experience), I still felt the obligation to give the changes a solid run in actual gameplay to reach an actual definitive confirmation one way or the other. This is, after all, the duty of one involved in testing. This information obfuscation however, it's petty and hinders (or even outright removes) the credibility of the testing. -

No point even bothering to go into the districts if there's no information to make comparisons on. Was it reduced to 30m like the community asked? Maybe 20m? Maybe even 10m, in some misunderstanding of the community's statements it should be a CQC weapon? Who knows. We sure as shit don't, since they aren't disclosing. There's no way to actually confirm without datamining... and considering the Db hasn't been updated to the live client yet, who knows when we'll have that info. Not a knock on you, don't misunderstand. The Db crew are a boon to this community and a little delay on the Db updates isn't a big deal in general. -

The game being slow does not equate to the game being bad. If you want instant twitch gameplay on every level, go play like CoD/BF or something. If anything, APB could do with being slowed down more... They had the right idea back in RTW, just needed to be executed better.

Implying this hasn't been an ongoing thing for a long time now... Most recently however, there's a clear case of it with that inquiry board in the EU that was holding discussions about lootboxes and their legality. EA bought off most of the board, causing legislation against lootboxes to fail in the EU. -

Vehicles were originally not nearly as accessible. Gamersfirst/Reloaded made a handful of changes that caused this current environment. They added additional car spawners around the maps, and removed the faction base usage restrictions (had to be Enforcer to use any of the amenities at an Enforcer base, such as Joker vending and car spawners), as two easy examples. -

Honestly, I'm in the camp that weapon changing should be disabled from Field Supplier and Mobile Supply Unit as well. Changing your weapon should be something you need to go to a fixed location (Joker vending machine, vehicle spawner, etc) to do, not something you can just do on a whim wherever you please.
