  1. Tomorrow on Wednesday the weekly installment of the "LAPD Squad Meet Up" is taking place. As always it is held in combination with the "Chipp's Car Club" (CCC) player event. The starting time for the "LAPD Squad Meet Up" is around 19:00 GMT. We usually meet up at least an hour or two before CCC starts and do regular patrols together as well as custom high speed chases (depending on whether or not open world crime is going on). If you want to participate - on the cop or the criminal side - just let us know. The CCC player event does start at 21:00 GMT and the location for this week should be the Financial Gold district. Please use either the CCC Discord LINK or the CCC APB Forum LINK for more details about the CCC event and the specifics about the district's event location. Members of LAPD Squad will again take care of traffic control during the street races after the CCC car show (where participants present their newest customisations). Any other enforcer or criminal interested in helping out - and thus doing something entirely different in game for a change - is welcomed to keep the traffic at bay with us. Hopefully you will have time to attend. In any case please stay safe out there and make sure to use all necessary precautions to stay healthy!
  2. Had this too yesterday (and a few times in the past). Usually after this message I am moved back to the log-in page and after re-logged in things usually work fine. So can you log-in again and then play (like I can) or is that error on your end persistent? On my end I assume the error comes up from time to time because I have an old potato PC and sometimes there are issues with the game loading into a district for a long time, making BattleEye probably think I do not do anything and then throwing me out.
  3. @FirstCommander - Well done FC, great to see you back on duty! @Officer_Foxtail - Outstanding work Fox, thanks for sharing your latest video!
  4. Tomorrow is Wednesday and thus the day when the weekly installment of the "LAPD Squad Meet Up" is scheduled to take place. As traditional it is being held in combination with the "Chipp's Car Club" (CCC) player event. The CCC player event does start at 21:00 GMT and the location for this week should be the Waterefront Gold district. It is pretty nice that CCC saw an influx of new players these past few weeks, not only for the customisation-show but also for the street racing part of the event. In any case if you have time we hope to see you on the streets. Please also make sure to stay safe out there and to use all necessary precautions to stay healthy!
  5. Customization - I really do not know any other game that allows this much freedom of creation.
  6. Yesterday I had serious issues with general lag, constant lag spikes, freezes and FPS drops as low as 5 FPS in the Financial Districts (EU Server). So I wonder if something significant has been changed server-wise. A year ago I was able to play just fine, even on a full server. Somehow things went downhill steadily from that point on. Nothing has changed on my end as I am still using the very same computer, have the same internet provider and am even utilizing the advanced launcher (without it I could not run the game). Granted my laptop is an old potato with low specs and I have to run the game pretty much with very low/minimum settings, but like I said I did not have these massive issues a year ago (sure it did not ran great back then either but it surely did not run as bad as it does now). So what changed? Is anyone of you guys having the same problem/experience?
  7. The weekly installment of the "LAPD Squad Meet Up" is being held in its usual slot on Wednesday. As always it is going down in combination with the "Chipp's Car Club" (CCC) player event. The starting time for the "LAPD Squad Meet Up" is around 19:00 GMT. We usually meet up at least an hour or two before CCC starts and do regular patrols together as well as custom high speed chases (depending on whether or not open world crime is going on). 8. Wonder how APB fares on consoles - any console user can chime in on this and offer his/her experience? I also assume there is no cross-platform play between the console and PC versions, right?
  9. Hmmm - what about making dethreathing impossible from the get go? - If someone gains silver they can not drop down to bronze or green and are restricted to play on silver servers (but may join gold servers). - If someone gains gold they can not drop down to silver, bronze or green and are restricted to play on gold servers. This would mean that those players that are constantly stomping bronzes will be silver in no time and then have to play on silver servers against other silver players. If they are really good enough on those silver servers they will eventually gain gold and be pitched against other golds on the gold servers. That should result in full silver and gold servers since I see LOTS and LOTS and LOTs of golds and silver in bronze each day. Being pitched against golds and silvers in bronze district missions usually results in players like me being shredded to pieces as we certainly pose no real threat to them. No fun for us certainly, and whether or not it is fun for them... - ...well probably these players like to stomp others or they would not come to bronze instead of playing on silver or gold. But I like to think that most people rather would like to have a bit of a challenge when playing - right? Anyway if dethreating is removed people would have to play against others closer to their skill level - that should equal an increase in the population on silver and gold servers. (And it might be a good idea to let NA players come to and join EU servers and the other way around.)

Please use either the CCC Discord LINK or the CCC APB Forum LINK for more details about the CCC event and the specifics about the district's event location. LAPD Squad members will once again take care of traffic control during the street races after the CCC car show (where participants present their newest customisations). Any other enforcer or criminal interested in helping out - and thus doing something entirely different in game for a change - is being welcomed to keep the traffic at bay with us. Hopefully you will have time to attend. Please stay safe out there and use all necessary precautions to stay healthy! -------------- Note that last week, due to a changed maintenance/patch schedule, the "LAPD Squad Meet Up" could not take place. Nothing about this week's schedule has been posted yet, but we will keep you informed, if it has any impact on either our clan meeting or CCC.
  11. Glad the servers came up eventually so at least CCC could take place. Thanks again for the screenshot collage Fox!
  12. Yes please - that would be great! @AlgizGI - Are you sure there is an option already? There is definitely one to turn off those "Death Themes" (did that as soon as it became available), but do not think there is one for music yet.
  13. @Officer_Foxtail - Thanks for posting Fox and remembering to take a screenshot!
  14. You guessed right - tomorrow is Wednesday and thus time for the the weekly installment of the "LAPD Squad Meet Up", held - as always - in combination with the "Chipp's Car Club" (CCC) player event. The starting time for the "LAPD Squad Meet Up" is around 19:00 GMT. We usually meet up at least an hour or two before CCC starts and do regular patrols together as well as custom high speed chases (depending on whether or not open world crime is going on). 15. @Shawnna - Thanks Shawnna, this is much appreciated! We are in fact happy to have taken up this weekly "responsibility". It not only fits the LAPD Squad role playing style, but at the same time it is a great opportunity to engage with fellow players who also like to do their own thing and be super creative! We are looking forward each week to seeing the new customisations the CCC participants are turning up with. It is certainly no overstatement when I say that not a single week as passed, where we have not been amazed by the huge amount of creativity and ingenuity displayed all around. And the street races after the presentation do remind us of the days of playing Midtown Madness! The best thing is that people coming to CCC are all relaxed, friendly and welcoming - no matter if veterans are dropping by or new faces are showing up. Even the races themselves are good-natured affairs since purposely crashing into other racers is frowned upon by all. Things are very different from the "normal" toxicity so rampart in APB. Essentially if a player loves customisations he/she should check this player event out. Even if they only stay for the car show part of the CCC event - to present and show off what they made or just enjoy looking around - it is totally worth it in my humble opinion. We love you guys and thank you for having us
  16. @Bambola - Thank you for your kind words! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Wednesday is coming up and so is the weekly installment of the "LAPD Squad Meet Up", held - as always - in combination with the "Chipp's Car Club" (CCC) player event. 17. @Officer_Foxtail - Well done on the videos and thanks for sharing! Good that you "picked up the torch" so to speak and now make videos as well (especially since FC is sadly MIA at the moment). Generates interest for APB Reloaded and does show the type of RP we do. Keep them coming! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tomorrow the weekly installment of the "LAPD Squad Meet Up" is coming up, held - as always - in combination with the "Chipp's Car Club" (CCC) player event. Last week was great, as Themis (SPPD ACF Division) was able to bring in a couple of clan members. In any case we hope you are all doing well and most of all are safe and healthy. If you have time to attend, we will see you on the streets!

  19. Tomorrow the weekly installment of the "LAPD Squad Meet Up" day is coming up, held - as traditional - in combination with the "Chipp's Car Club" (CCC) player event. 20. On Wednesday the weekly "LAPD Squad Meet Up" day is being held - the first one in 2021- and as usual in combination with the "Chipp's Car Club" (CCC) player event. Last week the LAPD Meeting was unfortunately cut short by the server maintenance being rescheduled to a later starting time and CCC did not take place at all, since the maintenance also took longer than its normal duration. No official information regarding this week's maintenance/patch is yet available, but we hope that things will be back to its usual schedule. Anyway starting time for the "LAPD Squad Meet Up" is around 19:00 GMT, as we usually meet up at least an hour or two before CCC starts - to do regular patrols together as well as custom high speed chases (depending on what is going on). Again if you want to participate - on the cop or the criminal side - just let us know. CCC starts at 21:00 GMT and the location for this week should be the Waterfront Gold district. Please use either the CCC Discord LINK or the CCC APB Forum LINK for more details about the CCC event and the specifics about the exact district location. LAPD Squad will be taking care of traffic control during the street races after the CCC car show. Any other enforcer or criminal interested in helping out - and thus doing something entirely different in game for a change - is being welcomed to keep the traffic at bay with us. I sincerely hope you guys are all doing alright and that you have time to attend. See you on the streets!
  21. Beware guys it seems like today's server maintenance has been scheduled for 19:00 GMT and is supposed to last up to 10 hours ( Announcement Link ). This sadly means that the "LAPD Squad Meet Up" was cut short by the server shutdown a few minutes ago and the "Chipp's Car Club" player event will also not be able to take place today.
  22. @Gro - Well, there are a huge number of "San Paro" enforcer clans around and instead of being "just another brick in the wall" we wanted to do something different that would set us apart from the rest: So we decided to go for the LAPD (hence the clan name) and after a while to add other RL police forces to our repertoire for fun. Hope that answers your question.
  23. On Wednesday the weekly "LAPD Squad Meet Up" day is coming up (the final one for the year 2020). As traditional it is being held in combination with the "Chipp's Car Club" event. Starting time for the latter is about 21:00 GMT and the location for this week should be the Financial Gold district. Please use either the CCC Discord LINK or the CCC APB Forum LINK for more details to the CCC event and the specifics about the exact district location. LAPD Squad will be again taking care of traffic control during the street races after the car show. Any other enforcer or criminal interested in helping out - and thus doing something entirely different in game for a change - is being welcomed to keep the traffic at bay with us. Members of LAPD Squad are usually online at least an hour or two before CCC starts, doing regular patrols as well as custom high speed chases (depending on what is going on). If you have an enforcer character and want to ride out with us or if you have a criminal character and fancy some custom chases and shootouts do not hesitate to let us know. I hope you are all healthy, safe and doing well during this holiday season, despite everything that is going on. If would be very nice if you guys have time to drop by for the last LAPD Meet Up in 2020 and maybe even for CCC afterwards - hopefully we will see you on the streets!

I agree with those that want faction limits - a.k.a. faction limitations - to stay intact. If you want to drive/use police equipment just make an enforcer character, same goes for criminal items/gear - if you want that just make a criminal character. Why introduce some completely new game mechanic like "weapon crafting" that would be difficult to implement? There are so many, many. many more important things that the developers could/should work on: new districts, better missions, more open world opportunities for both factions (with those opportunities tied to one another - i.e. if more cops do open world patrols the criminal would get higher payouts for those missions and the other way around), dynamic events linked to open world stuff, new items, new clothes, new cars,... As for racing - well I should point you to Chipp's Car Club (LINK), a player event that has been going on for years now! Players meet up, show off their newest custom paintjobs and then we have street races on predefined tracks, with us cops and volunteers doing "traffic control", so the racers have (more or less) traffic-free streets. Might not be perfect but it does work for those that show up week after week.
  25. From me as well: Happy Holidays guys! :)
