The weekly installment of the "LAPD Squad Meet Up" is being held on Wednesday and, as always, takes place in combination with the "Chipp's Car Club" (CCC) player event. The starting time for the "LAPD Squad Meet Up" is around 19:00 GMT*. We usually meet up at least an hour or two before CCC starts and do regular patrols together as well as custom high speed chases (depending on whether or not open world crime is going on). If you want to participate - on the cop or the criminal side - just let us know. The CCC player event does start at 21:00 GMT* and the location for this week should be the Financial Gold district. Please use either the CCC Discord LINK or the CCC APB Forum LINK for more details about the CCC event and the specifics about the district's event location. Members of LAPD Squad will again take care of traffic control during the street races after the CCC car show (where participants present their newest customisations). Any other enforcer or criminal interested in helping out - and thus doing something entirely different in game for a change - is welcomed to keep the traffic at bay with us. If you have time to attend, we'll see you on the streets. In any case: Please stay safe out there and use all necessary precautions to stay healthy! --------- * Make sure to take "Daylight Saving Time" (DST) into account in regard to the starting times for both the LAPD Squad Meet Up (19:00 GMT) as well as Chipp's Car Club (21:00 GMT) in case you hail from a country not using DST!

Pretty awesome to see some of our members come back to hit the streets again lately, especially since it has been a while that we were able to field a full group. So we had quite some fun with our patrols and the resulting chases and shootouts these past days. Do not forget that today is our weekly "LAPD Squad Meet Up", followed by our regular participation in CCC for some quality traffic control (for details check the posting above) - see you on the streets!

Good luck with your clan guys and well done on the cars and uniforms!

@Officer_Foxtail, @FirstCommander - Nice job on the screenshot and posted final picture guys, turned out quite well - it was a good idea! ------- @ all - A tiny update from our end - thanks for the efforts of Officer FirstCommander we now also have a clan discord channel it seems! It just was opened and the paint is still not fully dry so to speak. When everything is ready a link will follow.

NA full of racist symbols and character creations
StevenDeckard replied to Datpaper420's topic in Game
To paraphrase quite a few who made statements with the same meaning over the past centuries (among them famous names like John Stuart Mill, Edmund Burke and even Albert Einstein): "All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing." - so looking away is most definitely the wrong thing to do and could lead only to things getting worse. That said, it is of course pretty sad that some people choose to hide behind freedom of speech and expression and then have nothing better to do than to use it to glorify (knowingly or unknowingly) a totalitarian, inhuman system like National socialism that had the very opposite in mind. Maybe they should look at the historical context and properly educate themselves what these symbols, uniforms and people actually mean, how and for what they were used (and misused). Also a visit to some of the places of utter horror - where thousands have been detained, tortured, experimented on and murdered - could help and (hopefully?) would make them understand what the problem is... -
That felt a bit like the good old times: Senior LAPD Squad Officers Foxtail, FirstCommander and Deckard donned their uniforms, hopped in their black-and-whites and went out on patrol these past nights, keeping the peace in the crime-infested streets of San Paro. A lot more than initially expected was happening in town, so we had a lot of fun! We also encountered quite a few criminals that really loved the thrill of long pursuits through the entire town and doing their best to evade our officers, so they opted to do quite a few custom car chases with us in the process (thanks a lot to "BB" and of course our dear Rivona - who brought her big guns out with her, to blow us off our feet and also out of our socks - to name but two of the participating criminals). Next time we will try to capture some footage and/or make a few screenshots to share - see you on the streets!

Thank you for your interest, I will send you a PM shortly regarding your request.

As RL schedule allowed for it Officer Foxtail and I hit the streets for a few hours on Monday. As luck would have it, the patrol did turn out to be quite a busy one for us, as there were an unusual amount of criminals at work in town - robbing, mugging and stealing - trying their best to give our pursuing officers the slip. Wish I had some screenshots or video footage of those very cool looking, almost textbook arrests that we manage to make. While Officer Foxtail survived the patrol practically unscathed I did land in the ICU a few times, being too slow to take cover when the bullets started flying. Fun times nonetheless! Anyway a short reminder that today is both "LAPD Squad Meet Up" day as well as the "Chipp's Car Club" player event going on. Hopefully we will see you there!

Officer Foxtail and I went on patrol for a few hours yesterday and had quite a bit of fun - especially during those awesome and very challenging chases with Rivona, who pulled quite a lot of aces from her sleeves trying to escape the pursuing officers. Thinking about the messed up jump that took both of our squad cars out of commission still makes me laugh! ------------------------------------------------------------------------- The weekly installment of the "LAPD Squad Meet Up" is being held on Wednesday and, as always, takes place in combination with the "Chipp's Car Club" (CCC) player event. @Rivona - Thanks, that is very kind of you to say. Funny thing is it was not even planned that way (I was just about to move away as I suddenly noticed Kuro was doing the screenshots and stopped so not to accidentally run through Kuro's field of view and ruin the shots). Also it was great to see you finally participating in the races!

Officer Foxtail and I went on patrol for a few hours in the past few days and ended up with quite a few very exciting pursuits and shootouts in both the Financial as well as the Waterfront districts. Thanks to everyone on the criminal side who participated! The only thing that was mildly irritating was that the servers seemed to have some kind of issue with game freezes and people being thrown out to the lobby a lot (especially on Sunday). ----------------------------------------------------------- The weekly installment of the "LAPD Squad Meet Up" is being held on Wednesday and, as always, takes place in combination with the "Chipp's Car Club" (CCC) player event. @Officer_Foxtail - Thanks Fox! I think Kuro's ride looks awesome in that "sepia" coloured background shot.

Thanks for the update. I personally really dislike voice chat for all the obvious reasons, but I get why the average console user might want it as an option. One thing I would really like to see in regards to text chat is an ability to save and then use short "customized" text snippets. For example for an enforcer to say something like "Freeze!" or "Need assistance at my location!" in the normal text chat window when pressing the assigned button (though I would recommend a cool-down so it can not be spammed repeatedly to soften the big abuse potential). That way people could for example quickly tell the group/clan/team something in the heat of a gunfight or pursuit without dying due to being busy typing (can not even count all the times I died while typing something). Besides this it would also be a tremendous help in roleplay (RP) and semi-RP situations. Not sure if the implementation of something like that would be possible though.

Went on a solo patrol for a few hours yesterday evening and while things started a tad slow at first, I ended up with quite a few pursuits and shootouts in one of the Financial districts. Later I was joined by a new "prospect" but sadly our patrol was cut short by technical issues on his end. What surprised me was that there seemed to be quite a few new players around that evening, which is a good sign I think (especially since they seemed to be genuine new players and not new characters by veterans). Hopefully this trend will continue. In any case I see you on the streets!
