  1. Tomorrow the weekly installment of the "LAPD Squad Meet Up" day is coming up, held - as traditional - in combination with the "Chipp's Car Club" (CCC) player event. The starting time for the former is around 19:00 GMT, as we usually meet up at least an hour or two before CCC starts - to do regular patrols together as well as custom high speed chases (depending on what is going on). If you want to participate - on the cop or the criminal side - just let us know. The CCC event does start at 21:00 GMT and the location for this week should be the Financial Gold district. Please use either the CCC Discord LINK or the CCC APB Forum LINK for more details about the CCC event and the specifics about the exact district location. Members of LAPD Squad will be again taking care of traffic control during the street races after the CCC car show. Any other enforcer or criminal interested in helping out - and thus doing something entirely different in game for a change - is being welcomed to keep the traffic at bay with us. I hope you guys are all healthy, safe and doing alright. If you have time to attend we will see you on the streets!
  2. On Wednesday the weekly "LAPD Squad Meet Up" day is being held - the first one in 2021- and as usual in combination with the "Chipp's Car Club" (CCC) player event. Last week the LAPD Meeting was unfortunately cut short by the server maintenance being rescheduled to a later starting time and CCC did not take place at all, since the maintenance also took longer than its normal duration. No official information regarding this week's maintenance/patch is yet available, but we hope that things will be back to its usual schedule. Anyway starting time for the "LAPD Squad Meet Up" is around 19:00 GMT, as we usually meet up at least an hour or two before CCC starts - to do regular patrols together as well as custom high speed chases (depending on what is going on). Again if you want to participate - on the cop or the criminal side - just let us know. CCC starts at 21:00 GMT and the location for this week should be the Waterfront Gold district. Please use either the CCC Discord LINK or the CCC APB Forum LINK for more details about the CCC event and the specifics about the exact district location. LAPD Squad will be taking care of traffic control during the street races after the CCC car show. Any other enforcer or criminal interested in helping out - and thus doing something entirely different in game for a change - is being welcomed to keep the traffic at bay with us. I sincerely hope you guys are all doing alright and that you have time to attend. See you on the streets!
  3. Beware guys it seems like today's server maintenance has been scheduled for 19:00 GMT and is supposed to last up to 10 hours ( Announcement Link ). This sadly means that the "LAPD Squad Meet Up" was cut short by the server shutdown a few minutes ago and the "Chipp's Car Club" player event will also not be able to take place today.
  4. @Gro - Well, there are a huge number of "San Paro" enforcer clans around and instead of being "just another brick in the wall" we wanted to do something different that would set us apart from the rest: So we decided to go for the LAPD (hence the clan name) and after a while to add other RL police forces to our repertoire for fun. Hope that answers your question.
  5. On Wednesday the weekly "LAPD Squad Meet Up" day is coming up (the final one for the year 2020). As traditional it is being held in combination with the "Chipp's Car Club" event. Starting time for the latter is about 21:00 GMT and the location for this week should be the Financial Gold district. Please use either the CCC Discord LINK or the CCC APB Forum LINK for more details to the CCC event and the specifics about the exact district location. LAPD Squad will be again taking care of traffic control during the street races after the car show. Any other enforcer or criminal interested in helping out - and thus doing something entirely different in game for a change - is being welcomed to keep the traffic at bay with us. Members of LAPD Squad are usually online at least an hour or two before CCC starts, doing regular patrols as well as custom high speed chases (depending on what is going on). If you have an enforcer character and want to ride out with us or if you have a criminal character and fancy some custom chases and shootouts do not hesitate to let us know. I hope you are all healthy, safe and doing well during this holiday season, despite everything that is going on. If would be very nice if you guys have time to drop by for the last LAPD Meet Up in 2020 and maybe even for CCC afterwards - hopefully we will see you on the streets!

I agree with those that want faction limits - a.k.a. faction limitations - to stay intact. If you want to drive/use police equipment just make an enforcer character, same goes for criminal items/gear - if you want that just make a criminal character. Why introduce some completely new game mechanic like "weapon crafting" that would be difficult to implement? There are so many, many. many more important things that the developers could/should work on: new districts, better missions, more open world opportunities for both factions (with those opportunities tied to one another - i.e. if more cops do open world patrols the criminal would get higher payouts for those missions and the other way around), dynamic events linked to open world stuff, new items, new clothes, new cars,... As for racing - well I should point you to Chipp's Car Club (LINK), a player event that has been going on for years now! Players meet up, show off their newest custom paintjobs and then we have street races on predefined tracks, with us cops and volunteers doing "traffic control", so the racers have (more or less) traffic-free streets. Might not be perfect but it does work for those that show up week after week.
  7. From me as well: Happy Holidays guys! :)
  8. On Wednesday the weekly "LAPD Squad Meet Up" day is being held, as usual in combination with "Chipp's Car Club" event. Starting time for the latter is about 21:00 GMT and the location for this week should be the Waterfront Gold district. Please use either the CCC Discord LINK or the CCC APB Forum LINK to get more details about the CCC event as well as the specific district location. As every week LAPD Squad members will perform traffic control during the street races after the car show part of the CCC event is over. Any enforcer or criminal interested in doing something entirely different in the game for a change is welcomed to drop by and either participate in the CCC and/or the street races or help us keep the traffic at bay during the races. Note that LAPD Squad usually meets up at least an hour or two before CCC starts, to do regular patrols together as well as doing custom high speed chases (depending on what is going on). Again if you want to participate - on the cop or the criminal side - just let us know. I sincerely hope you guys are all doing alright and that you have time to attend. See you on the streets!
  9. Thanks for taking the time to post those screenshots Fox and for sharing your newest achievement - awesome work on that car!
  10. As usual the "LAPD Squad Meet Up" day is scheduled for tomorrow, held in combination with the "Chipp's Car Club" event. Starting time for the latter is about 21:00 GMT and the location for this week should be the Financial Gold district. Please use either the CCC Discord LINK or the CCC APB Forum LINK to get more details about the CCC event as well as the specific district location. LAPD Squad members will once again perform traffic control during the street races after the showcase part of the event is over. Any enforcer or criminal interested in helping out with traffic control - and thus doing something entirely different in game for a change - is welcomed. These past few times we had both other enforcers and criminals coming out to help, which was very nice. Note that LAPD Squad usually meets up at least an hour or two before CCC starts, to do regular patrols as well as custom high speed chases (depending on what is going on). So if you are a criminal and bored, looking for some car-chase-action let us know and we can get a pursuit going. Hopefully you guys are doing alright and will able to attend - if you do, we will be seeing you!
  11. Thanks Fox for posting - there were really a lot of great paintjobs being presented at this week's CCC once again (some customisation-wizzards even had several cars in store for the event)! While the LAPD meetup was hampered by some technical issues on my end (which took longer to resolve than anticipated) it was great that a few enforcers and even a criminal decided to join our efforts and help out with traffic control this time. Thanks guys that was much appreciated as the more boots one has on the ground the smoother the races go (especially in Waterfront).
  12. On Wednesday the weekly installment of the "LAPD Squad Meet Up" day is coming up again, held - as traditional - in combination with the "Chipp's Car Club" event. Starting time for the latter is about 21:00 GMT and the location for this week should be the Waterfront Gold district. Please use either the CCC Discord LINK or the CCC APB Forum LINK for more details to the CCC event and the specifics about the exact district location. Traffic control during the street races after the event is once again being performed by members of LAPD Squad, aided in their efforts by our friends from the SPPD Anti Crime Force clan and any other enforcer interested in helping out and doing something entirely different in game for a change. Members of LAPD Squad usually are online at least an hour or two before CCC starts, doing regular patrols as well as custom high speed chases (as we did so brilliantly last week, trying to catch our most wanted and beloved speeding criminal Sufe). I hope you guys are able to attend, in which case we will be seeing you!
  13. @Nastibe - Thanks mate, I could not agree more and - like Fox already said - it is always a lot of fun to do custom chases (even more so as they are - in my humble opinion - a lot more fun and engaging than any of the normal missions available! God it would be so great if the available time would be longer as usually the time runs out just when things are starting to be fun (something we all said practically after every one of those chases)! I really, really wish there was more open world stuff to do for both cops and criminals. Maybe with something like a "staggered payout scheme" for both sides, so cops and criminals would actually want the other side to be around - e.g. for criminals the more cops are after you and are patrolling the streets (i.e. not doing normal missions but actively doing patrols), the higher the payout for any open world crime committed (higher risk = higher reward, lower risk = lower reward, no risk = minimal or no reward). Also I would really like to see the "drop offs" being more randomly placed and always spawned on the opposite side of the district, so people actually have to drive there (of course without feeling the need to "gimp" the criminal's car and make it artificially slower, like it so annoyingly happens in some normal missions), thus resulting in a real car chase! After all we got cars, so let us actually use them. This could even be connected with dynamic events triggered for both sides, depending on the crime (e.g. making photos of a crime scene after a "ram-raid", securing evidence, etc. for the cops / evading arrest, recovering evidence, stopping the evidence drop off by the cops, etc. for criminals). So many possibilities... - ...ah well a man can dream! Anyway see you later mate!
  14. Tomorrow is Wednesday and thus the weekly "LAPD Squad Meet Up" day, held in combination with the "Chipp's Car Club" event. Starting time is about 21:00 GMT and the location for this week should be the Financial Gold district. Please use either the CCC Discord LINK or the CCC APB Forum LINK for more details to the CCC event and the specifics about the exact district location. LAPD Squad members will once again perform traffic control during the street races after the car show. Any enforcer interested in helping out is always welcomed. Hope you have time to attend - if so we will be seeing you guys!
  15. I agree it was great to see so many new people dropping by these past few weeks, swelling the ranks of the veteran customizers and street racers and immediately jumping on the bandwagon, bringing in and showing off their own creations the very next week. Also a big thanks to those that ended up helping us cops in our fight against the non-ending wave of AI traffic, thus joining the avid players of "APB - the traffic control simulation". Not to forget the epic chases we had before CCC started, trying our best (and failing miserably) to catch and arrest heysie of all people! All in all a very fun evening.
  16. Love it when someone wants something and declares summarily that everyone wants it - I for one do not want this at all.
  17. Officer Foxtail and I, together with our newest LAPD Squad member, went on patrol for a few hours yesterday evening and while things started slow at first, we ended up with quite a few very exciting pursuits and shootouts in one of the Financial districts. Especially later, when our most favorite criminal Sufe and two of his clan mates came out to play, things heated up considerably (an unnamed source close to the mayor commented today that repairs for the extensive damages to public and private property are still ongoing). Thanks Sufe that was a hell of a lot of fun! (I really wish we could have recorded that awesome pit-maneuver, as it was a LOT more successful that probably either of us expected (that result looked like something out of a Hollywood action movie). Also as a quick reminder: Today is of course "LAPD Squad Meet Up" day (held in combination with the "Chipp's Car Club" event) and we should be online at least an hour before CCC starts to do some patrols and/or custom car chases. See you on the streets!
  18. You can tuck in your shirt or do things like put your trousers into boots - when assigning clothing to your character make use of the arrows below the list of clothing to put selected clothing above/below other clothing worn.
  19. Next Wednesday is coming up and so is the weekly "LAPD Squad Meet Up", held in combination with the "Chipp's Car Club" event. Starting time is about 21:00 GMT and the location for this week should be the Waterfront Gold district. Please use either the CCC Discord LINK or the CCC APB Forum LINK for more details to the CCC event and the specifics about the exact district location. Like every week LAPD Squad members will perform traffic control during the street races after the car show. Any enforcer interested in helping out is always welcomed. I agree with Officer Foxtail: More boots on the ground sure makes it easier to deal with the traffic situation, so if you guys have time, I hope you will be able to drop by - until then take care and please stay safe and healthy!
  20. Wednesday is the weekly "LAPD Squad Meet Up" day, which is held in combination with the "Chipp's Car Club" event. Starting time is about 21:00 GMT and the location for this week should be the Financial Gold district. Please use either the CCC Discord LINK or the CCC APB Forum LINK for more details to the CCC event and the specifics about the exact location in the aforementioned district. LAPD Squad members will be taking care of traffic control during the street races after the car show. Any enforcer interested in helping out is always welcomed. Hopefully you guys will have time to drop by - until then take care and stay safe and healthy!
  21. Wednesday is coming up and so is the weekly "LAPD Squad Meet Up", as customary held in combination with the "Chipp's Car Club" event. Starting time is about 21:00 GMT and the location for this week should be the Waterfront Gold district. Please use either the CCC Discord LINK or the CCC APB Forum LINK for more details to the CCC event and the specifics about the exact location. Members of the LAPD Squad will again be taking care of traffic control during the street races after the car show. Any enforcer interested in helping out is always welcomed, especially in Waterfront where the tracks are pretty long. I hope you have time to drop by - until then take care and stay safe and healthy!
  22. Thanks Fox, very nicely done! -------------- The latest CCC event sadly was plagued by several grievers who did their best to interfere, destroy and mar it for everyone. A big thank you goes to the GMs who tried their best to help.
  23. Indeed the girls and boys in blue did an absolutely terrific job in Vienna and managed to stop any further bloodshed, same goes for the women and men working for the local medical services! As Fox said we will be using our Austrian Federal Police livery and uniforms to show our support and respect, not only for their tireless efforts but of all law enforcement agencies around the world in the fight against terrorism.
  24. @TheMessiah - Thanks for your posting and the question. The answer is really simple: We are in fact Europe based (though we do have members from all over the world). Things started a long time ago when I cobbled together my first LAPD-like livery (was quite a challenge due to the limited number of decals I had unlocked then as well as the F2P layer limit) and soon after the LAPD Squad clan was born. Only years later, when Foxtail started working on customisations, we started expanding and added other law enforcement uniforms and cars.
  25. Like every week on Wednesday the "LAPD Squad Meet Up" is being held tomorrow, as usual in combination with the "Chipp's Car Club" event. Starting time is about 21:00 GMT and the location for this week is the Waterfront Gold district. Please use either the CCC Discord LINK or the CCC APB Forum LINK for more details to the CCC event. LAPD Squad members will once again take care of traffic control during the street races after the car show. We also expect CptPriMan / Themis and fellow officers of the "SPPD ACF Division" to once again join us on duty. Needless to say any enforcer interested in doing something different in the game is also very welcome to drop by and help out. It your time allows, it would be great if you are able drop by for both the "LAPD Squad Meet Up" as well as the street races. Until then take care and stay safe and healthy!
