why doesn't apb have any competitors?
Ai-Zhú replied to postalgril's topic in General Discussion Archive
How the heck can you compare SR to APB?? SR is a singleplayer game with a story. You are playing against NPCs. APB is an online PvP game. That's another dimension. SR has an open world filled with activities that is made for sandboxing. APB's "open world" is a rather small one that serves as a lobby and dynamic arena, because it is PvP-driven. It is not meant to be a sandbox open world to mess around in. APB has better customization options, but it doesn't have that much clothing options. There is a difference. Defiance and APB? Defiance is a MMORPG, it features PvE content, quests and other common RPG elements. APB is a pure PvP shooter. Defiance has an open world. As forementioned, APB's "open world" cannot be really called an open world. And before someone comes up with GTA Online: GTA:O is a true sandbox MMO. Its open world is designed to do all sorts of stuff in it: messing around with the police and pedestrians, visiting locations and stores (strip clubs, casino), exploring, parachuting, flying, running your own business. APB is a small-scale PvP game, it doesn't have this degree of freedom. GTA:O features alot (and also puts alot of weight on) of PvE content. There are heists, coop missions and horde modes along with alot other PvE modes. APB is a PvP game with no PvE features. GTA:O does include PvP modes, they are diverse. But these modes are pretty much straight forward and provide no tactical depth. It often ends up in a deathmatch. Meanwhile, in APB, you are free in your options to win a mission. That is also due to the fact that there is no restricted mission area. There is no map for each mission, instead, the whole "open world" serves as the mission area. GTA:O's arsenal of weapons is more diverse. As mentioned, it is meant for sandboxing. These weapons really don't need balancing. Come on, only because some games allow you to run over or shoot pedestrians, or just happen to be a third person shooter, doesn't mean they are genuine alternatives to APB. There is no other game like APB out there. -
Chill, I bet you'll get compensation and the event deadline will be postponed.

What to do if blocked, but I did not do this?

| V There's no logic and solid evidence to be found in your post either. You are also working on emotion, mere suspicion and on a "everyone who does X has the intention Y" scheme. Additionally, you just said "most of the time", which means that he could be an exception and has unlinked it for other reasons than to sell it. Unless we get an official reply, he, like anyone else, should be treated as innocent until proven otherwise. Maybe he really is a culprit, maybe not, but let's just wait this one out before we assume anything. -
lol I see. Didn't know about this. My friends and I were cracking up when we that one for the first time

Go ahead and take a look into the official UGLY HOLIDAY SWEATER CONTEST 2019 thread: Maybe I am putting too much thought into this, but this sweater design... with its Menorah (symbol for Judaism https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Menorah_(Temple)) and the caption "Get Lit"-... I don't know man xDD Seems kinda odd and misplaced.

But he didn't use it with a antisemitic purpose, calm down.

Idk what you are playing, but CSGO is far from "cheat infested". Valve probably has the resources to actively maintain a good anti-cheat system while LO surely doesn't. The Prime system is hurdle for cheaters that is also not to be underestimated. But you are right. B2P may keep more cheaters away, yet it may prevent new players to try it out aswell. No new players = no new income = no financial resources for anti-cheat shield.

Hi! This has been discussed a few times and I'd really want to bring this up again: I would love to have the option to set a static crosshair. This should be an OPTION and not mandatory. Those who prefer a dynamic crosshair, a crosshair affected by weapon bloom and movement, shall have it - may it be for practice or just due to personal preference. However, those who would like to work on their aim or simply like to have static crosshair, should have this ability aswell. Options don't hurt, but shall exist in the first place, and in this particular case, it is an option that is quite fundamental and essential for shooters. I am looking forward for a response from LO on this.

Why "legal" cheating/exploiting is enabled on APB?

Ban all the people that exploit the settings NOW! -
Hi! Quick question: Is the 'Machinegunner Vest Config' for females from the 'Enforcer Heavy Duty Bonus Pack' (https://www.gamersfirst.com/marketplace/ingame/product_details.php?storetype=g1c&gameID=20&catID=65&subcatID=204&productId=3471) combinable with other upper chest configs? Thanks in advance!

When will the district system be changed?
Ai-Zhú replied to Tappey's topic in General Discussion Archive
AFAIK, the upgrade to the Unreal Engine 3.5 will allow phasing. Matchmaking will then be done district-wide, allowing fairer match-ups as the pool of players you'll be looking for opponents in will be greater. So no more restrictions through districts, I hope. -
How do people shoot precisely while moving?
Ai-Zhú replied to Ai-Zhú's topic in General Discussion Archive
Is it allowed by the rules to have such modifications to the crosshair? -
Hi! Coming back from other shooters, I have learned to either shoot in bursts or taps, whilst not moving when doing so and strafing while I am not. The problem is that the recoil or spread of the weapons is heavily RNG influenced. There is no pattern to memorize and to do training around. That's why I am baffled when I encounter players that run or even jump while shooting and actually hit my noob a**. I have seen people jump with the sniper and sniped me while they were in mid-air. Also, veteran players seem to spray their whole mag at me and hit me with every bullet. How do they manage to do that? I mean isn't there recoil and spread for them? Additionally, the crosshair is bugging me up as it is dynamic and not static. I can't pinpoint where I am aiming at and it is making things really difficult for me. Are there any tips to handle the weapon recoil and spread like they do?
