[PC] 06/21 Maintenance Announcement

Hello everyone,

 

Our regular weekly maintenance for PC will be held this Wednesday (06/21) and it will start at 9am UTC. We expect it to last anywhere from 4 to 6 hours. As always, thank you for your patience during this period!

Another week, another complete lack of any minor tweaks to anything at all. Here, I'll even give you a freebie:

- Increased health damage of "Norseman" line by 15, from 95 -> 110.
- Increased hard damage of "Norseman" line by 3.6, from 11.4 -> 15.

I agree. I don't even own the weapons, but 99% of the time I feel like I'm not taking damage fast enough, compared to other SMGs and ARs.

Forget it, I think. They are not stupid. They don't use their in-game name anyway. Why do you need a list, If the GM is online do you turn off cheating?:D

Fix the damn health interface and the sounds of bullets hitting! It is absolutely not clear whether the bullets hit me or not! And don't tell me that the health interface is enabled in the settings. Yes, it works, but it works poorly, not informative!

Add settings for the inter-district selection of players - "No meta weapons" and "No Obeya FBW, Colby.45 AP, OSCAR, Obeya CR762, OBIR". Or simply - "Disable weapon timing". The situation is getting worse every day, this feature is interesting, but it spoils the game. It is impossible to constantly get into the timing, but most players do it.

The main mistake of all developers for 10 years is that they do not pay attention to the problems of the game. I don't mean the engine. He's far from the biggest problem. 
Over the years, the game has been developing the problem of developing a new player.  What kind of idiot is going to seriously pump the levels now? This is masochism!

Are you inferring that I cheat?. Well even though u broke the rules saying that, I'm gonna tell you. 

No I don't cheat. I'm the last person who will cheat, not only is it immoral, and criminal, 

 I'm not in the habit of lying to myself. 

Sometimes I see people with GM in their name so I thought i would ask for a list.

Something is screwed up between Path's nodes (ddos mitigation provider) and US-West servers. The majority of my shots do not register on players while aimed directly at them. Meanwhile, I got a few hits and then a kill when I smacked my keyboard with my mouse and fired a burst over 5 meters away from a player. None of those shots should have hit, but the server thought they did.

 

District: Missions-Waterfront-1-US-West (205.220.229.52)

In-game Latency: 60ms

In-game packet loss: 0.00

latencytest district latency: 99-107ms

CMD Ping to district IP Address: 67ms

Where is the extra 30-40ms coming from in the /latencytest result for the district server? It's not much latency, but it's showing a problem. The server shouldn't be located that far from the node, considering the USA coverage Path has. Is traffic being routed to the wrong locations internally?

 

I checked the packets with Wireshark. I don't see any packets arriving or leaving my network out of order, that's if the IP.ID is accurate.

 

I cannot check if there's packet loss from client to server. The in game packet loss counter only counts packet loss from server to client.

 

EDIT: Tested EU Server. There's a different problem on EU. My latency randomly goes from about 90ms up to over 300ms, and stays there for a while. However, despite the significant latency spikes, the hit registration is overall better. Most shots hit. The few that miss are edge cases where the bloom was a little high, or the player was about to get behind cover.

In-game Latency: 90ms average. 200ms spikes.

In-game packet loss: 0.00

I have also experienced. I was already under cover, but I died. So.. Hitbox change, or bug?

@Ritual: Don't you want to promote the game? There are fewer and fewer players. When will it be available in the Epic Store? Why don't you send newsletters?

None of the names on that list are the one's I saw in district. 

Maybe it was his clan tag being TGM, it wasn't a Red Tag like the Big GMs have

Legits that won't play cuz they get constantly put against hackers, or against top skilled gold players.

 Getting smashed is never fun, but getting smashed by the same group all day is not fun at all. 

 Now I'm not calling golds hackers, as you can see i said 'or'. 

Either way you're dead and not getting any xp, and I have hard time believing anyone was banned for hax.

Game is unplayable now.

I understand getting hit by 1 or 2 shots due to latency, but often it's over a second later. The bizarre thing is I did not experience the same issues on EU, even when my ping spiked to 300ms. I have tried artificially increasing my latency to US servers, to see if the netcode is favoring high latency. It didn't improve anything, it made the issues worse.

 

I also noticed there were no players teleporting on EU.
