Failed to initialise Nvidia PhysX

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm trying to launch the game, but I get the following messag e.

" Failed to initialise Nvidia PhysX!

If you have recently installed or updated your PhysX software or drivers, please restart your computer and try launching the game again. If the error persists, please try reinstalling PhysX.

I have a RTX 3070. Could that be the problem? Poor optimization?

I had that problem once when I installed Borderlands 1 which installs its own older version of Nvidia PhysX and broke my APB. What fixed it for me was simply launching the regular APB updater/launcher which patched it to the correct one again. That's my best guess, assuming you haven't tried that already.

Did you install the additional module from Nvidia PhysX that comes with the driver?

There is also a way to disable this hardware requirement in one of the files but I want to know first of you have this module installed before we troubleshoot further.

Hello,

The game requires an older version of PhysX which probably didnt install due to a newer version being present.

Go to your APB folder and find the older PhysX installer.

C:\APB Reloaded\TPI\PhysX

Install this >PhysX_9.10.0129_SystemSoftware

If steam look in your steam folder

C:\Steam\steamapps\common\APB Reloaded\TPI\PhysX

Not sure where to look for it?

Right mouse on the APB icon, Open file location

Then go back one folder.
