Two mods of choices on the Raptor? Oh no... Oh oh no... I somehow knew this day would come. I have always known that making that change will make the gun outshine so many others with so little effort. I am afraid what monstrosities people can inflict with that. Mark my words. -
Be advised: APB DB states that putting a MagPull 2 on Strife leaves you with 5 > 4 bullets in the mag. Whereas Magpull 3 also has 4. Magpull 1 oddly enough makes you have a faster reload with no repurcussions as you still have your max of 5. NEVERMIND, apparently the stats from APB DB (database) are wrong?!? I loaded up APB myself and it appears that ALL magpulls make you have 4 shots ready. Extended mag 1 gives no extra bullets. ExtMgs 2 gives ONE extra shot. Extended mag 3 ALSO gives a single extra shot. TL DR: best value is Magpull 3 or ExtMgs 2. Both giving and taking a single bullet from/to the magazine. Something worth noting though: IF YOU USE MAGPULL 3. It appears that not letting the mag go from 0 to max is key, as the extra animation is costing VALUABLE time. Infact, the amount of shots you can send downrange can be GREATLY increased by simply OR having 1 bullet left before you reload OR (to a slighly lesser extent) when reloading from a fully empties clip, trying to click before the animation for your last bullet plays. I do this when I see the second bullet being loaded. Shooting 3 shots and reloading feels amazing. (If you can't tell. I really REALLY want to make the SG-21 Strife work >.<)

Justifying OSMAW because it would beat scriptkiddies and Colby .45AP users is like saying cheating is the best way to win games. Not OSMAW, not scripting and NOT COLBY F'ing AP should be any of the norm. They're ALL crooked things. Hecc, by how fast and easily the .45AP kills I'd say it basically IS a oneshot. "Oh hey look a sniper who I have COMPLETELY outplayed and I am now 5m away from them with my shotgun!" "This should be a free kill!" *Whips out bullshoot Colby .45AP* "Right?!?!?!?!?!?"

I don't think having a oneshot would be healthy for the game (looking at you OSMAW). But I think having the damage like an HVR or even more whilst being similar to the Joker Gunworks shotgun could be a good 'powerhouse' style shotgun that is similar, but deals more damage and is slightly less controllable. A slight slower rate of fire than the JG (but with an alluring promise of 2-shotting where a JG might have needed 3 shots), a slower reload and a smaller clip. Resulting is a high risk high reward shotgun that doesn't feel outright unbeatable by other shotguns, but if you can manage ammo count and land your shots, then the SG-21 Strife should, in my opinion, be a monster. Strife for perfection and you should be rewarded. Sadly this ain't a suggestion to stats page xD

Yea lets give everyone the gold skin. Maybe make a diamond and gold and DARK CAMO from call of duty and give it to everyone. I understand that you people expect compensation for the poor communication and lack of updates and anti-cheat. But feeling entitled to get free stuff is not a healthy mindset. I like the skin, I like APB:R and want to support it. So I actually bought the skin. (Not saying LO deserves the money. But this way there is a win-win scenario). Of course I would like it for free. But it loses all 'prestige' feeling (ESPECIALLY for gold-like stuff) and all meaning to it if everyone runs around with it. I'd rather see Clotting Agent reworked and the other green character mods being buffed so that we don't have everyone running around with the same skin, err I mean mods, and we can have some actual tactical variety in the games. And see expressions of people choosing specific skins that match their own taste. But hey look Colby .45AP let's give it to everyone. Great idea. If the game promotes this style of 'play meta or be trash' than the game, any game, is killing itself. Skins are also like this but on a harmless scale. -
I really want to love Strife. It's my Shotgun of choice despite me feeling it is the weakest one, on par with NFAS really. The added damage feels not there if you don't get the assisted-onetap. It's easy to whiff your shots (atleast for me xD) and you get punsihed SO HARD for it. What really destroys it (but funnily enough prevents it from becoming OP) is that you HAVE to wait until you are ready for your next shot (which takes just TOO long) before you can swap to any secondaries. That is probably the case for every shotgun but stunning yourself for shooting feels really bad. I want to like it. But I willing enter the fights with the thoughts of my weapons being far, far inferior to other weapons. If it takes 3 shots for me to kill the opponent, they should logically win that encounter. (if they have ANY sort of CQC or even mid-range combat weapon)

I've had one scheduled force-logout and two seemingly random ones that happen just some milliseconds after I slay an opponent. Maybe related, but I've ALWAYS had a small chance of small 'lagspikes' when I saw an opponent and they started firing, or when both of our HP's are low (USUALLY resulting in my death) -

I hope it goes online soon. I'm checking the forum-feed every day to see if APB is up again. The weird thing with APB:R is (kinda the same I have with TF2). I'd never play it 'THAT' much nowadays. But it has made such a mark on my childhood and sticking with me as I grow up as a person, that: Despite not playing the games that much, hearing APB:R would shut down would be HEARTBREAKING for me. I'd probably play it endlessly whilst I still can. I don't want to let go of an old friend... Besides, my stream account hasn't reached the goal of rank 185 as a true Free-To-Play yet. ;_; -

APB is simply not ready for that. 3-slot Raptor would result in some disgustingly overpowered weaponry. I always have to choose between either Hunting Sight 3 for range, MagPull 3 for personal-playstyle or CoolingJacket 3 for TTK. But having the option to combine these would result in some pretty strong overthetop weaponry. But hey, I've been wrong before. -

HOWEVER, there have beem changes made to the game in terms of balance, therefore the results MIGHT be outdated for the following weapons: I have not had the chance to try out any mod-setups regarding the new mods introduced with the New-Horizons update (the new contact one)! Any weapon stated with Heavy Barrel (now less penalty. IN FACT, any level 2 can be made level 3 for no downside and any level 1 can be made level 2. I have not tested other options that could benefit from applying Heavy Barrel (1) instead of other mods); Any weapon states with either Magazine Pull or Extended Mags (should now be less of a penalty to equiping them; STAR 556 (now has a better reload); COBR-A (improvements might make MobilitySling and Heavy Barrel redundant, opening up new opportunities for other things); ISSR-A; Joker Carbine (got something done with it's accuracy. I HIGHLY recommend reading the Steamguide - "(23rd January 2015 update) APB:R WEAPON GUIDE, TIPS, AND HOW TO AVOID NEWBIE TRAPS)" Sure it is outdated, but it has A LOT of text going for it. I am going to dump a big list of the mods I use on what weapons, BUT the guide listed here (whilst outdated) talks a lot about mechanics and such. For instance: Did you know that the DMR-snipers actually increase damage over range? Or that the ALIG LMG deals TONS of Hard-damage (damage to vehicles)? I could list you the mods I use but that doesn't say much about how you should play it. This guide however, does. (Just know that some specific numbers are outdated) I'll post a big reply listing tons of weapons with the mods I use in a couple of hours. -
I absolutely love the creativity of the mods though. I feel like 'breaching doors' could just be like the 'Piercing' mod, which would be very niche but still has something cool going for it (though my idea doesn't work here as it would shoot through the door without opening it lol.) The AR mod and Harbinger mod sound great. Oblivion is a bit tough to justify, maybe a more 'emotional' boost where the player gets 'inspired' in some way as a mod description? Anywho, while I think that the Curse is great, it could get maybe a (not much usable) nerf and get a (not much usable) buff for the sake of going with the flow of the others. But now the real question is, would the Juggernaut weapons deserve the same treatment? I get that the Rabid (the LMG) it makes sense to 'convert' it's vertical recoil into a horizontal one (as all of those 3 weapons do). But I feel like the AR (Frenzy) and the SMG (Manic) could get something different as they don't benefit much from the 'imgoingfullautoyolo' mechanic.
