05/13 MAINTENANCE ANNOUNCEMENT
koenyboy500 replied to MageLO's topic in Social District (General Discussion)
Bud if the Obeya FBW-SD had a silencer that did not put me on the map I would use it. If fucking showstopper of all things had it then I would use that. Cause I value strategy in my gameplay. -
05/13 MAINTENANCE ANNOUNCEMENT
koenyboy500 replied to MageLO's topic in Social District (General Discussion)
Bruh, Kevlar nerf? Great diversity. As a person who HAS to emply strategy in their matches because opponents have open quote " god aim " closing quote. Kevlar was a tool I did genuinely use for the scenarios it was useful at. A slightly better coordinated teampush to the objective or a all-or-nothing solo defend. Also I don't mind the M9 getting nerfed even if it is my favourite gun (cause of the Legendary Silencer). But while I understand that people complain and compare it to the .45 ACP. PLEASE do not let the .45 ACP go unscathed. It will be COMPLETELY biased to nerf a pistol that got somewhat good and then not deal with the stupid garbage that people have been complaining about for YEARS. -
Why your game sucks right now

Enforcers can get 'defend' missions? So the legends were true... -
You are mistaken. I won't go into discussion with someone seeking confrontation. Never let my winrate stop me from playing and I won't let ragebaiters get the better of me either.
-
Yes but if an 'organised squad' does not like you and starts teamkilling you over and over and over again then the other pleb will just vote 'no' like that Bugs Bunny meme.

Whilst it is locked behind a 200 hours mark of gameplay give-or-take. You can now theoreticaly acquire some of the "Pay2Win" weaponry. Although with less open mod-slots. I do think this is a fantastic change for APB:R.
-
It's certainly an issued I have faced before myself. I could see Little Orbit not letting people go freebies with the contact system (I think the locations are a nice charm and lore-sensitive to me), but I do think that LO should allow leveling contacts up from the other district: At the price of a [AMOUNT]% reduced Standing rate. This would still promote people to go to the other district, which results in player having a different battlefield compared to Financial and more importantly for LO: More different weapon needs.

I love going out there for events and all. But the snOPGL is a tedious weapon to use, especially against those who are not nerfing themselves by running it. And requiring 300 kills is a lot. 300 times do you have to score a direct hit on an ACTUAL player out there who has been playing the game for years probably. And you get 14 days for it. It's possible. But definitely tedious. Same applies to the Valentine roles but that one is a bit more bearable as you can y'know, point and click on enemies.

I love exploring the idea of opening the world of APB:R up to something BEYOND just walking to objectives and going "Keep the change" on other players. PVE could give the game a lot of depth, personality, lore and could open up entire systems. Imagine not only getting slight advantages in combat (for example a succesful Enforcer Spray Over Enemy Tags time mission awards you with a consumable of your choice), but also gaining upgrades (equipment?) to boost yourself into getting more PvE missions done. You could have roles for it with interesting unlucks. You could gain XP in a videogame where currently: The grind to R290 is L-O-N-G and only available in PvP. Maybe we could bring items like ammoboxes from contact to contact, with a chance of other players interfering (kinda like GTA V business style). Investigations with clues and randomised missionspots. (The entertainment value will eventually decrease as people will memorise but alright). Spraying over tags like you said, along with the investigations. Maybe in those investigations/theft you can have elements of ShadowsOfDoubt in there. Where you have to gather clues by tapping into satalitedisks or see a list of phonecalls made previously. Connecting the dots. Enforcers could maybe try to locaste a specific only-for-them-visible NPC where they get a photo and a clue of the right direction. Or be assiged to a ShadowStrike team to do something like breaking into a facility and spawning into a smol, smol, SMOL area the size of a house in a seperate 'disctrict' and engage on NPC's or make choices. Maybe pick up an ambulance and rescue NPC's? Criminals could 'intimidate' stores by creating destruction in surrounding areas. Or set up 'ambushes'. Possibly a bigger misison where they gather an item, uncover an email or phonenumber and distort/blackmail important political figures. There's a lot of potential. All very hopeful ideas for now of course. But it's a very fun idea to think about.

04/01 MAINTENANCE ANNOUNCEMENT
koenyboy500 replied to MageLO's topic in Social District (General Discussion)
Good changes! Definitely keeping an eye on the OBIR now though. The OBIR had only one downside from me treating it like some sort of pumpedup AssaultRifle and that was the clunkyness when equiping it. OBIR could become a very generous all-purpose weapon. -
If it was plagued by an issue or bug then I can understand the decision. It may have looked like I was trying to be a jerk about the changes but I just did not understand WHY this was a change that felt neccessary to make. Now I do. Thank you. And yes, firing it Full-Auto was possible but definitely not reliable anyway. I was just trying to protect my 'personal style' weaponry. "Understandable have a great day"

I don't understand why THE SBSR series were nerfed. I mean seriously, the weapons were only 'niche'-good and you could just slap the LongRangeRifling on the Marksman/Rifle variant and it becomes a STRAIGHT upgrade from the sniper one....?!?!?? What, are you telling me people 'uncontrollable waterhosed' the SBSR weapons into full-auto-ing all over the place? Get real. The weapons did not need a nerf.

12/18 CHRISTMAS PATCH ANNOUNCEMENT
koenyboy500 replied to MageLO's topic in Social District (General Discussion)
This Christmas thing is fun but I CANNOT for the life of me ever find the (and I quote:) "Official" Discord server for APB:R. Been interested in this elf-hunting business but people are just cast out because there is NO WAY someone is able to find that discord. seems like a pretty fun activity tho. EDIT: oh yeah OOPSIES event is now over. okay man, thumbsup. -
12/18 CHRISTMAS PATCH ANNOUNCEMENT
koenyboy500 replied to MageLO's topic in Social District (General Discussion)
That is so cool! The rewards this year are insane (comparatively) too. Definitely nice to have these streamer tools, maybe an option to disable (copyrighted) music? (Probably gonna be all music but I'd rather not deal with strikes anymore just because I'm driving near a player) -
Oh noes here is the anti-fun squad. Hide your years of training and skill.
-
Learned the Obeya FBW / Joker Carbine Firerate the hard/correct way. Took some time but now with the right muscle-memory it's a very rewarding experience and not unthinkable to run entire missions with just the FBW. Also I think that the learning and presence of mistakes makes it more fun. I play games for the challenge, which is why I love APB:R. I only complain about the most blatant cheaters out there. I'm sure many people 'cheat' but I like the chess of counteracting. But as for cheaters themselves, they are a bunch of pathetic people. Why even use macro's to 'be more effective' and 'cheat' to win, what's the point in that. I genuinely don't understand how that can be fun. Honour and skill. All 2300 hours.

10/15 HALLOWEEN PATCH ANNOUNCEMENT
koenyboy500 replied to MageLO's topic in Social District (General Discussion)
Always warms my heart to see Weapon Changes. Time to numbercrunch >:) But I always thought that the S-247 'Oblivion' was SUPPOSED to gain accuracy when noving? I even put a Moblity Sling on it and promoted it as a bit of a 'counter-sniping' role because of this -

09/25 MAINTENANCE ANNOUNCEMENT

Yeah... You do that. -
Lashing out in a 'I am butthurt' manner is quite the opposite of calm and collected professionality. Being a good person goes beyond just videogames, but if you think you can flipflopyour personality based on where you are at than your kindness is nothing but fraud. If you want the better man and think you are right you shouldn't even respond to this. And I love being proven wrong.
-
No matter how it is said, a valid point was made. I think it was a rather professional tone actually. But yes, when anonymity is present, The Crimson Curse is everywhere to be found. (Yes I do speak like this in real life, :sunglasses deal with it)
-
The Crimson Curse goes far, far further than just being isolated to a videogame.

N-tecs balanced
koenyboy500 replied to Noob_Guardian's topic in Social District (General Discussion)
Frenzy, Misery, ISSR-A, CORB-A, ATAC, LCR... All different weapons with their own stats. Maybe I forgot a few? Frenzy is a sort of close-quarter oriented N-TEC, Equipe a sight and a heavy barrel (2 I think) and TAP that firebutton for rapidfire suppression. But the gun required more shots to kill by default.
