  1. As of today, 19th of June 2018, is the Advanced Launcher supported?

     

    I know there have been threads asking about this in the past but I wanted to make sure it is still supported to this day, as I just got unbanned and the last thing I want to do is get myself banned on the same day by making a stupid mistake based on old information.

    Best thing you can do at this point is reply to the ticket, regarding the questions Selali sent out, and wait. I know, it sucks, I've been there after the 1st unban wave, but when you get your account back it'll be worth it.

    Good to hear. I got that too but since I am unbanned already I won't respond and i'll leave it as Solved.

     

    My profile shows account status as 'Blocked' but im able to log in using the client and I'm currently in-game. If you haven't tried that already, i would advise checking!

    Well it was worth a shot, sorry to hear that.

     

    I just thought I'd share since i was here saying "I'm still banned" because i was going by the status on my profile, which is still 'Blocked' even though I'm unbanned in-game. From my understanding of Selali's response to me, some accounts were hit by an incorrect filter and he is going to rerun the unban to hit people who were banned for a specific reason, in the same category as me. 

     

    So i would say sit tight and be patient, he is currently hard at work on it.


  5. So i just tried to log in and it turns out that I am UNBANNED!

     

    Although when i log into my account on the G1 website, the status is still marked as 'Blocked' but despite that i am currently UNBANNED. Guys, please, if you're only checking your account status please attempt to log into the game and check your accounts. You may be unbanned in-game and still be marked as 'Blocked' on the website.

     

    I can not believe that I am finally able to see my old character and play APB once again. Just checked my total playtime and it's 981 hours. And that was from 2011 when i started playing until around 2013 when I got banned. I can't begin to imagine how many hours I would have if i hadn't been banned all these years (5 or so).

     

    Lastly, i think i was hacked and that's why i was banned. I had my main character still there, but renamed, and there was an alt-character with a racist name. I have gone ahead and deleted that 2nd character with the racist name which I DID NOT CREATE, EVER. I only ever played one character, my main.

     

    So i can now assume that is the reason for my ban? Who knows.

    The people still banned were banned for "other", from what I have just recently found out - in my case the auto-replies i used to get from Tiggs & Co was "inappropriate behaviour" which god-knows what the hell that even means - i always assumed it was a false ban for "cheating". And since Tiggs had my tickets on auto-close with auto-reply saying the same shit on repeat, basically getting a response from a bot, and any threads i made on the old forums being instantly deleted, i was never told the reason for my ban and to this day don't know why.

     

    So from what I understand; all accounts currently banned were banned for "other" which ranges, i assume, from GM abuse banning people they disliked, all the way to credit card fraud. Then again i don't even know since i don't know why i was banned or what the hell "inappropriate behaviour" was referring to.

    Imagine thinking you were falsely banned for cheating for the last 5 years, and anytime you tried to appeal your ban you got an auto-reply and instantly got the ticket closed. Then a new company takes over APB, unbans everyone who was banned for cheating, false and legit, and you're still banned.

     

    I am in such shock right now to be honest. I don't even know what i was banned for, or why.

    In the 11 days since i've created my ticket i haven't gotten any response, not even a copy/paste or auto reply, so at this point i don't know what else to think except that I'm blacklisted and can't even get in contact with support - maybe my email is going straight to the junk/trash automatically, not even manually. All i know is i am exhausted from trying to get my account unbanned and may just give up, as i did 5 years ago when my account was initially banned.

    That's what i'm saying dude. Are you really telling me i've been banned for the last 5 years for no reason other than being disliked by some power-hungry GM... like seriously. I was 100% convinced i was banned for cheating, falsely, but since all attempts to get unbanned via a ticket were closed instantly with auto-replies saying all future tickets would instantly be closed and instantly get the same response, unable to actually contact any human, and having any threads created on the old forum being instantly deleted, i gave up trying to get unbanned and quit APB since.

     

    I was going from auto-reply to auto-reply, to getting my threads deleted within minutes of posting them, asking for help trying to get information on my ban, not even an UNBAN, just information on why i was unbanned. So sad when i think about it. Ah well.

     

    At this point i'm also convinced my email is blacklisted permanently or something, maybe my tickets are going straight to the trash/junk because it's been 11+ days since i created my ticket and i'm not even getting copy/paste replies, or auto replies. I'm not getting anything. Just a number. #3074. Rip.


  9. All this time I thought i was banned falsely for cheating, by just being good at this game and being manually banned by a GM who was trash.

     

    But the 2nd wave just rolled out and I'M STILL BANNED. What the even. And my ticket didn't get any response, not even an automated copy/paste response since sending it over 11 days ago.

     

    I was under the impression that those of us who were in this category would get an auto response with questions as Selali has said here;

     

     

    But still nothing. Maybe my email address is blacklisted by G1 or something? I have no clue. Maybe my ticket isn't even sending? 

     

    Please, @Selali i would appreciate it if you could just give me some verification on this.. at least so i know my ticket is actually in the system and not completely ignored/trashed. It's ticket #3074. I will be more than happy to DM if you have the time, which I'm sure you don't but worth a shot. I just want to know that the ticket is even being received on your end.

    Ticket marked as "Solved" is NOT a closed ticket. It means you can still reply to it and ask more help etc. If you do this, it gets you a much faster reply and less flooding the support.

     

    Also bear in mind that not all of our supporters do this. If you're having an issue with your ticket, and by that I mean reply you got. You can always reach out to Selali (or me).

    I can not believe how ridiculously out-of-proportion this thread has been blown. 

     

    The intent behind this thread was light-hearted, a gimmicky post based on what I interpreted to be a self-contradicting statement by Matt, how the number of resolved tickets had increased since last week, whilst acknowledging that a good portion of those resolved tickets were given copy/paste replies rather than the time-consuming alternative of a manual reply.

     

    That's all this thread was meant to be; light-hearted banter.

     

    The first thing i literally wrote was "did anyone else laugh at that?"

     

    I was pointing my finger, laughing, and asking if anyone else was laughing with me. And yes, there may be some underlying truth to certain things such as slow response times on tickets, but that's the entire concept of banter; to tease.

     

    People on here are just too sensitive I guess. Too many snowflakes in 2018. No one has a sense of humour these days, everyone gets offended by anything and everything.

     

    I appreciate your replies though. Just know I wasn't being entirely serious.

    Yeah, except they close the tickets and mark them as 'Solved' and the cycle of having to wait 20+ days for a response to your ticket begins all over again - and for what? Another copy/paste response?

    So proud of the team for getting through so many tickets, more than last week... by copy/pasting responses and not properly reading tickets.

     

    Much wow. Not affected by E3 btw.

     

    And as a result of this they now have to retrain these customer support staff members which will result in ever slower ticket response times next week, as if they weren't ridiculously slow enough already.

  14. You're an idiot. Not everyone who was banned was banned fairly. 

     

    Firstly, countless manual bans were done by corrupt GM's and GM's with no game-logic, critical thinking skills, or APB-related mechanical skills, who assumed anyone who made a pro-like play or kill was illegitimate.

    Second, countless automatic bans were triggered falsely by an anti-cheat system (FairFight) that was not calibrated correctly, as it should have been - over time, and the anti-cheat was flagging people who had above average stats for actually being good at the game.

     

    So you're upset because those people who were falsely banished from APB are being given back what was unfairly taken from them? 

     

    Furthermore, you're now quitting APB (for the 100th time it seems, according to other posters who have witnessed your manchild behaviour in the past), because they refuse to broadcast bans? 

    Because they refuse to support witch-hunting and shaming of players?

     

    So tell me; what about all those innocent people who got banned by FairFight or by those skill-less/corrupt GM's? Innocent players names got broadcasted when they got the ban-hammer and now I'm sure if you see any of their names you assume they were cheating and deserved the ban even though they may have been innocent all along. That's the effect broadcasting bans has. A sense of moral accomplishment for something that you're not even certain of. Do you not see the negative effect broadcasting their names has?

     

    If you really don't, then good riddance.

     

    I don't even know who the hell you are, but i can tell from your attitude that you're the same time of manchild who accuses innocent players of cheating just because they're better than you and beat you within this game with a significant margin above your skill level.

     

    And lastly, are you really that self-absorbed and pretentious to believe that your "wisdom" and "guidance" is the catalyst between the success or failure of APB? 

     

    Jesus Christ, get a room, i don't think there's enough space for you and your ego to fit in one.

    Keep in mind that some tickets take much longer to handle/process than others. Some take priority over others based upon the subject at hand. They are not dealt with at a constant rate, these things are very hard to predict when you are dealing with such a large quantity.

     

    I assure you that we are doing our best to try and meet demands.

    I empathise entirely with your point and I appreciate all the hard work you're all putting in to help us. Thank you, personally, and to the rest of LO working behind the scenes to get to all of us. You can imagine our eagerness to want to play APB: Reloaded once again, which indirectly translates into impatience, and thus resulting in what appears to be ungratefulness. So for that, i apologise on behalf of everyone who is waiting for either some form of response on their ticket or the 2nd unban wave. But I imagine you too can empathise with us, as we can with you.

     

    Do not think your hard work goes unrecognised for even a second. We all appreciate it, we just aren't all as adept at expressing our gratitude.

     

    Thanks again for the reply, it really goes a long way making the community feel heard and not ignored. So thank you, truly.

    Yeah but it isn't really accurate for reference, since I sent my ticket on Friday and am at #3074 whilst Matt's ticket status update, which was posted a few hours later, was claiming there are 1,087 untouched/open. So people who are at #3500 could be the 2,500th ticket or the 1,500th ticket, assuming the #XXXX is just a placeholder. 

     

    So right now i could be the next ticket in the system or i could be 500 tickets away from a response.

    And are you able to give us any information on the current status of tickets? For example, what ticket you're currently on? If we know for example you're on ticket #2050, then we know it's gonna be a while until you're on the #3000+

     

    Would really appreciate some info on tickets as I am certain almost everyone who is waiting for the 2nd unban wave has also submitted a ticket and waiting for some response :)

    We are not arguing, we are having a conversation. The number is a placeholder. I put in a ticket on Friday and was at #3074, an hour later Matt made the weekly customer support status update showing there were 1,087 tickets untouched/open. Do you understand the number one day will be 10,000+ and that won't mean there are 10,000+ tickets, right? 

     

    It's a PLACEHOLDER. One day the tickets will even be in the #100,000+, but the guy who created the ticket might be 136 on the list. How can i be the 3,074th ticket in their system when there's only 1,087? Because #3074 is just a placeholder number in their system, i'm not having to wait for 3,073 tickets to be answered before mine.

     

    And i say we're having a conversation because I'm asking you to stop spreading misinformation by showing you how you're spreading misinformation, i'm not arguing with you.
