If you'd want to be a productive forum member you'd naturally link to that topic or blog post where they adress the matter.

naturally, people do not memorize the forums, they certainly remember contents/information but not when/which post.

naturally, people would have to search thus.

naturally, that costs time - time they wouldn't have to invest as they knew the info from the top of their head. (and it is known LO addressed those issues quite a lot. e.g. kempingtons q&a stream with matt)

naturally, people do not like to waste time.

naturally, you could also search for yourself if you were interested.

naturally, you could also just trust fellow posters.

he said all there really was to it, they said they'd rework it. (okay, matt talked about the how too, but that wasn't really part of this discussion. they also want to introduce district phasing etc etc.)

whydon't you always cite sources? naturally, they are not really required on a forumpost. or are you implying you are not productive in that post?

The tommygun does have some horizontal recoil, so muzzle break isn't totally useless.

    i'm aware

high horizontal recoil (in relation to vertical atleast.)

however a decrease by percentages for horizontal and increase by percentages for vertical increases the overall recoil. i'm aware it still makes the weapon a bit more controllable since vertical isn't as bad and only one direction.

uhh then what is that recoil called in tommy gun which makes it go high in the sky and we have to drag the mouse down to counter it? english isnt my main language so i hope my wordings are making sense.

    vertical

which is the opposite of horizontal xd

yeah, i feel you, english is not my main language too (tho we do call it horizontal/vertikal in german too xd)

    no its amazing.

im 100% sure u haven't used it on tommy gun and played with it, i did and it was terrible. maybe it did change recoil but the change was very very fking small.

tommygun is neither lmg nor has it a high horizontal recoil (in relation to vertical atleast.)

sooo how is that related xd

Nah, I meant, something like in csgo. It forces you to attach mobile and if you get banned on your account, you need to get a new phone number to play the game again

except that you can now straight up buy it now...

    but just to add:

not like that was doing much before, people who paid for their cheats (public cheats would get detected quite easily (except on linux lol) probably have no issue ordering some SIMs in bulk from ebay... basically free. (some are even profitable if you don't fall for their policies and get e.g. bonus amazon vouchers on top when buying them)

the important factor was that you had to be level 21 too to become prime.

however, with the improvements to vacnet, all of these factors are basically negligible... an anticheat will always do more - however - the previous methods are far more realistically adaptable (especially for small companies like LO)

and yeah, the more barriers that a normal player can effortlessly pass but a cheater couldn't, the better.

so do not tamper with files or get banned

    duh

no idea why this got disliked.

changing config files manually/changing the gamefiles has been classified as bannable for more than a year already.

and with battleye automatically checking the files, they have to add specific exceptions for changes.

it was officially stated before that changes made by advanced launcher are among these exceptions and that it should be safe to use.

and it gives you many options - so rather use these.

they also stated that upon 3.5 release all these configs etc and advanced launcher should be rendered useless so they are looking to integrate most features into the ingame options.

So for you people or knew or knew.

Well, i didn't. You can even see one of my comments that i did not know until someone (zombiebiscuit i think) said its high ttk was a bug... i long ago purchased it.

From my point of view ive got scammed.

it's just natural weapons don't stay the same. i own 75+ accbound weapons and couple of them were nerfed/buffed/nerfed/buffed. but as metas change or stagnate, changes to weapons are necessary. even if it wasn't bugged - it was too dominant in cqc for a secondary and a nerf was inevitable.

and no, as i said, you could just include them in the group of people before the announcement - but as i also said, since one couldn't know, assuming that everyone knew after an announcement through their main official communication channel is quite reasonable.

but even then, it doesn't even matter.

you have all right to feel cheated/scammed subjectively, however it was an objectively needed change. think about it like closing the gap between rich and poor by taxation and social insurance. some might feel cheated, however it is needed to gain some equality. xd

All those smoke/particles FPS drops easily fixable with the new Video-card. It can be old GPU like GTX760/HD7850 with ~150Gb/s memory bandwidth.

Had same problems with GTS450 (128bit bus) in 2013. Same with the graffiti.

i have a 1080 ti (obv x16 pcielanes) (+ 8700k, so it does have enough pcie lanes) and still occassionally get drops from too many particles (lowering particle limit in advanced launcher helped)

    not from guns though normally.

in the end, memory bandwidth shouldn't be an issue for me though - but particles are still, occasionally.

but yeah, try tweaking the particle limit in advanced launcher. it will sometimes cause objective circles to not appear - but you still have the marker.

    supported by whom?

ms is providing updates for only one more year.

intel and amd stopped supporting it already.

    my argument stands.

this does not appear like an engine issue either.

true, there has been no solution provided officially.

but there has been help by the community - and it is the most obvious and reasonable solution - update to w10.

if you can't - well, people with a mac or linux can't play either if they stay on those OS.

That is over all the tournaments. I am talking about the money Blizzard itself is putting in to the scene, which is really just its own tournaments such as the blizzcon ones. That is where HotS is the highest.

i guess blizzard is just trying to push their problemchild a bit harder. (not like hots isn't fun but w/e)

and that doesn't even matter. there is nothing that forces them to keep that functionality.

and it does matter that it was broken and they acknowledged it. for everyone who bought it after you can assume that they are aware of the fact that it does not work as intended and that they'd fix it eventually. for the people before - well probably not.

    but -

although you are acting as if you do, you have no entitlement to having the game/its contents unaltered - imagine what that would lead to. people suing companies because they release dlcs that raise the levelcap and thus making the progress so far less important, essentially nerfing your character in its current state.

and if it was as bad as you think it is, what if they just buffed all other weapons to be as broken because you want your yukon unaltered? would that be okay :^)

you could either include them in the group of people from before the statement was released, or assume they had been informed enough, as it was an official statement.

otherwise you could also assume that people knew about it being broken (it was objectively killing unreasonably fast - thus it had to be broken) after they were killed or after they killed someone with it once. for the latter - if they continued using it - could be assumed that they were willingly abusing/exploiting (with) the weapon - just as for people after the statement. you could also argue that the intention of acquiring it is enough to say they were willing to abuse/exploit the game.

we wouldn't know for sure, but visiting the social marketplace and looking at secondary weapons, accessing the armas marketplace page of yukon jmbs (and probably even putting them into cart!) or posting a wtt/wtb message looking for a yukon is enough to highlight the intention of acquiring it (to further exploit)

i believe all of these people should be punished.

but as i also explained, this does not even matter.

(if it wasn't obvious enough, i'm joking. to me the people asking for reimbursement or whatever for buying the broken yukon for whatever reason and having it fixed now are being atleast as ridiculous though.)

like, sc2 would be higher for blizzard

    and otherwise obviously dota

or is that meant in relation to playercount (then e.g. halo should be over hots too)

Are you sure that's true?  Thought LoL tournaments were for like 10+ million.  IF this is true, it's likely Blizzard putting all that money up, not 3rd party sponsorships etc.

It is true that Blizzard does dump a lot of money into the pro scene for hots, just sad that their development direction is all over the place.

dota has even higher payouts than lol (by a margin) so i don't really get it (the international alone is massive)

and no, the yukons absurdly low ttk was not intentional - as even g1 stated (but still didn't fix so they could profit (much like the broken troublemaker even went on sale a few months prior to balancing))

so it was just broken - and we wouldn't want a broken game, do we?

Just upgrade to Windows 8 or 10 dude

This, Windows 7 is outdated (9 years!) and isn't supported by many major companies (in a year not even by microsoft) anymore. Why would a small one have to.

I get the 8/10 have a shitton of telemetry and collect a lot of data so that rises privacy concerns - but that's nothing you couldn't disable. (and if there was "secret" data collection, you bet that would have also been part of/patched into win 7 too)

otherwise win 8/10 is superior (except some "features" like the new settings that still require you to use control center occassionally)

I mean rn if the threat stay the same doesn't matter the engine upgrade the game will die

There are way more than enough people to full a silver server the problem is that thanks to gold it would be impossible to form a bronze district because there aren't enough new players to play between them

and not enough golds to have a functioning gold server (or max 1 so you'd have to decide between fin/wf) to begin with. golds leave, skill shifts lower, some silvers become gold, suddenly can't play, leave. flawless idea.

not to mention that golds cant play with their (new) friends because they'd rather not play against better enemies so they'd either play alone or the golds downrank.

doesn't work, was tried before. shambles.

also, there are hundreds of post about this. threat segregation, lock districts, you name it.

it's easy to do and it's quite dumb to do. more reasonable ideas were to kick/lock people out of bronze (permanently?) after ever reaching gold.
