It’s better to use any mid-long range weapon in that situation. Basically, how it works on arranged matches 4v4: team goes for one obeya or obir, two ntec and carbine/Oscar. It’s the current meta for most situations because in most cases the mission point is always open because of map design(that’s the reason why hvr will be always strong no matter how you nerf it). But once the point is inside building obeya/obir teammate has a choice to switch for oca or jg, and he always chooses jg because of utility being stay alive by hiding at the corners. Oca requires a risk, when you want to kill someone you have to stay open while spraying with it someone but jg allows you to stay safety between the shots.

Increasing its ttk will make it possible to play more aggressive. You still can play aggressive with the current jg. I haven’t used jg for year and take it 2 days ago to play in asylum. Even in situations when I push corners and oca guy peeks the corner starting shooting first, I still two shot him just because how inaccurate oca can be. It doesn’t make sense to me. Oca is only good with aggressive peeks and pushes while jg is insanely good at safety/defend gameplay and it’s also good at aggressive gameplay. And buffing its ttk will make oca even more useless.

Someone says that oca has more range but in the practical gameplay the fight between oca and jg about 4 of 5 times happens in the shotgun range. It’s just not possible to make a shotgun user fighting you in 15m

I'm more saying if you are in a cqc fight, being caught in the open running it's better to have an OCA.

It should be good but not the go to choice. Basically there's no point to choose any other cqc with that ttk of jg. If you didn't realize, usually shotgun always make a first shot and practical ttk always faster than any other cqc weapon. And don't forget about terrible accuracy oca has. Even now, with current jg, everyone on arranged picks jg instead of oca because of impact it can do

out in the open without a lot of cover isn't the OCA still a better choice?

It would work exactly as clothing works now.

Designers make cool stuff, and players who either cant make it for themselves, or cba to...trade for or buy it.

Only in this scenario those cool things can encompass all of the clothing in-game, not just the items unlocked through normal in-game progression.

If anything this would lead to an increase of sales, as players might finally spend the IRL$ in order to get in on trades or sales like this.

not sure I would want to spend 10 dollars for an outfit so I could buy the same outfit customized by another player.  If it was a cheap token for 1 dollar maybe.  But then again I design my own clothes.  I never buy clothing designed by other players.

Which is why like he said, it should only be possible if both players have purchased the item on ARMAS.

or maybe a consumable ticket (bought on Armas) that allowed the player to purchase an Armas related item on the auction house.  Though I don't know how much that should cost; maybe scaled for weapons/vehicle/clothing/preset.  If two people already have the item, I'm not sure why a person would purchase the same item (clothing car) they already own just so a person could customize it.  They would essentially now own two of the same item, one they just can't customize themselves.

Yeah, I suggested N-TEC 5 to a friend and he liked it a lot. Not sure what you mean by 3 tap kills though. Unless you are talking about assists or pre-damage, that's never going to happen.

6 shots to kill.  I usually let 2-3 shots per tap.  Even if I perfected it to two shots per tap that would be enough to kill a person if all hits landed with in 50 meters.

i feel like armas items should be tradeable as long as both parties have purchased the item individually

with such a large percentage of cosmetics locked behind a paywall only allowing f2p items to be traded is pretty limiting for someone looking to buy a cooler outfit than they can make themselves

even account wide trade would be nice, but it would have to be marked as so and clear the previous owners inventory.

This happened to me once when I got a refund, they deleted the weapon from my whole account, even the 15 day trail versions I got from JMBs.

I would love to trade anything purchased in Armas but to be honest I'm pretty sure their sales would negatively affected.

  7. base Ntec, don't start with mods.

At range you will do pretty well just tap firing.  Tap, Tap, Tap, Tap.

Usually by the third tap people are dead.  Four if they are a bit further out.

If an opponent gets too close just full auto and swirl it around in a circle around the opponents center of mass.  It is shockingly good at CQC.

Once you get an open slot version, Hunting Sight and Improved Rifling help along with Mobile sling later.

I'm right with you on this one brother.

I love using the LMG's as my main. (SHAW / ALIG)

Currently using the N-SSW 74 Dvah as my main.

I do get some complaints at times, mainly that I need to use a different weapon.

But honestly , I love using this gun.

I suppose in the end,,, it's all about having fun.

I keep facing all gold teams that are all using the Ntec/OSCAR and I know why, they are the best weapons in a wide variety of ranges.  No other weapons are really viable except in their one tiny area of specialization.  I love LMGs but they just aren't viable if you want kills or to fight back on a level playing field.  One of the reasons I just don't play APB anymore.  There are only 2-3 viable weapons, the rest handicap you too much.

The problem with bringing back threated districts is NA players will no longer be able to play in Waterfront and be stuck on their contacts and the game will also not be playable at late/ early hours as we can barely get a 15-15 district at 5 AM EST or so on weekdays.

It sucks not being able to play a game anytime you want in 2020. Some people have weird hours or are from other countries and can only play at those times.

If you guys bring back threat segregation, I would suggest making it population based. If current playerbase total is over a certain amount, force segregation. Once the average hits under a certain number, remove it. This would make it possible to play at any hour of the day.

that's why I never bother to win missions anymore.  I'll make a few kills, finish daily missions but screw winning missions.  Being gold just locks you out of a mission district for dailies.

NA does not have the population for segregated districts no matter how you tweek matchmaking.

  10. the one thing that gives you an advantage over other players is consistent gameplay.  I don't mean that a player has to constantly play, I mean that a player experiences less stutters and lag in game.

I achieved this by dropping my graphics down to null with the advanced launcher.  Even then I get stutters in the game that can last 1-2 seconds long.  I think people who are really good are luckier than most in that they don't suffer the constant stuttering in game (and my computer specs should be good enough to run a 9 year old game with such poor settings the game looks like a potato from the early 2000s).

This. LMGs are certainly not relevant to the game as it is. They take way too long to blow up a car compared to an explosive weapon (grenades, OSMAW, OPGL, the legendary rocket launcher). The only upside they have is you can keep sustained fire on a vehicle that's moving, but you can easily have that by standing on a car following the target with an OSMAW. LMGs are terrible at close range, and most of them suck at long range too, at least compared to assault rifles/rifles. They are not viable in any way, because there are tons of guns that could fill in the gap. I thing LMGs need a buff in their ttk or at the very least a buff to their hard damage so they can at least be an alternative to the OSMAW. What they lack in mobility certainly is not made up for in any other way. Perhaps a bipod mod could be added so that they can be used crouching with no recoil or simply anything that would make them more usable and a solid alternative.

Dog-ear is probably better over all when it comes to damaging vehicles than the Alig.  Just because the Dog-ear has mobility and can be used hanging outside a car window.

honestly though i prefer the osmaw over volcano, im sure others are the same, so an URSUS is honestly better at that point.

I got perm alig as well though so /shrug

I got the volcano before permanent osmaws became possible for me.  When the volcano first came out people were selling it for under a million because it wasn't like the osmaw so I picked it up.

tl;dr - riot sucked and would require massive changes to actually be viable

And even if it was great it would split the NA population even more making it even harder to play certain mission districts.

it’s a pretty established fact that explosives have a pretty low skill ceiling - a pair of concs and a very flexible primary will often equal or outperform explosives when it comes to vehicle missions or campers, with the added bonus of being effective outside of those situations as well

someone looking for a permanent gun is going to benefit more from the ursus than the volcano, unless as you said they already have a permanent ntec

Yes but when the ntec is cheap or free for an open 3 slot, having unlimited quick access to a rocket launcher is preferable over an ursus which is just a side grade.

This is partly why I want explosive weapons on Armas.  The volcano is too important an option to pass up.

i think it’s understandable that people might want a permanent all around effective primary (ursus) over a pretty niche and limited one (volcano), especially if they aren’t big spenders and only have 1 or 2 permanent weapons in their locker

Nah, you should always have an explosive weapons for vehicle missions or taking out campers.  The ursus is good but easily replaced by the ntec.  I would never give up my only permanent explosive weapon for the ursus.  Plus I love the shock and cursing I receive when I blow up a group of players.

i’m not sure about razer or logitech but i know of several gaming mouse softwares that allow you to simulate mouse movements - no need for autohotkey or scripts or reading game memory, just a simple macro that moves your “mouse” down after every click

as for slowing down your max rof macro we’re talking adding a delay anywhere from .01s to .05s being enough to eliminate dropped shots, i find it hard to believe that’s significantly slower than the average semi automatic user manually clicking

Adding a 0.01 - 0.05 delay between optimal shots isn't enough to compensate for latency.  Even the Joker Carbine would have skipping issues if you set the rof to 0.16 - 0.2 seconds.  I wish the engine/servers ran well enough to read delays perfectly but they aren't.

I've only used Logitech/Razer and AHK (for MMOs) so not as familiar with other peripherals and their software but would not be shocked to fine out you can enter coordinates to change cursor positions.

  17. 8 hours ago, Solamente said:

idk what .65s has to do with anything but for semi auto weapons you can just set your macro to a slightly longer interval and still get essentially "perfect" timing without dropping shots

and a macro can also be used to completely eliminate vertical recoil, it might be small but that is still an advantage

you are talking about something like autohotkey which should be banned in this game as it can easily be turned into a triggerbot.  I personally don't know how/if it's possible to hack the Logitech/Razer to write scripts that read APB and eliminate vertical recoil for anything other than the sniper rifles.

And slowing down your ROF macro to eliminate any skipped shots, you may as well just tap fire the cursor turns red because relying on something automated AND super slow is basically retarding your ability when the TTK is this game is not even 1 second.
