Told em years ago for at least one simple solution. When player become gold on bronze district-the option to start missions(pressin K)must be disabled and message must appear that the player must change to higher threat district to be able to keep playn.Simple..but even that for NA not gonna be in big use right now cause playerbase is very low there.Threat must be removed for that server completely

Stuck as gold.  I'm not great but I've been playing since the RTW days and loved everything about APB.

But when I quit I did so because I would be locked to districts with almost no players.  I would see less than 10 people on and just log off.

Idk what happened to this game but there is explosive cancer everywhere.

In one of my last games there were 3 ppl with osmaw and 1 sniper. How do you even deal with stuff like this?

You equip flak and easily avoid the aoe damage. Explosive weapons are easy to avoid once you learn how they work.

Rank 195 more need to be brought down to rank 85.

Let's be honest, you would be a shit friend if you would recommend a game like APB:Reloaded to your friends

I feel this way.  I used to really love ABP but even back then I would not recommend it to anyone I know.  The biggest draw point is the customization.  After that the game goes downhill quickly.

  4. The Volcano or OSMAW/OPGL are probably going to help you the most.  Mainly because they are useful tools in any vehicle mission or spot where enemies are camping on roof tops.

Beyond that I found none of the Legendaries really that useful.  They are fun because they offer a slightly different play style, but the Ntec (3 slot) is the most useful weapon in the game.

No legendary is more useful than the Ntec.

Kevlar dont need a buff, its already aids

I'm not sure I understand this.

Anyone wearing Kevlar is basically a free kill.

Kevlar should be slower to start running then speed up to normal run speed after 2-3 seconds.  The permanently slow part kills the mod.

Right on the mark. High-tier players never complain about LTL.

Let us be real, those tactics are much more demanding than OCA and ATAC.

Ignore preme.   You can't change his mind, he already decided about ltl without ever using it.  He just a bronze who is frustrated that players using the worse weapons in the game are dominating him.

Put him on ignore.  He's living in this thread in dire need of attention because he has nothing else to do.

You want to nerf the LTL further? It's difficult enough to get to the stunned player in time to make the arrest. If you reduce the time in cuffs by 50% you would also reduce the time for a teammate to rescue you.

LTL is used by 5% (my guess) or less of the player base. And the reason why it is used so little is because it's underpowered and often frustrating to use. Why are people suddenly coming out of the woodworks and demanding it to be nerfed?

Preme is a bronze crim that got destroyed by a silver enforcer using LTL.  I've seen this type of posting before and it always turned out to be a low skilled crim who has never touched LTL.

There is no point in debating LTL with a person who can not even be bothered to use LTL on their second free character slot.

No one who has maxed out the cop role would seriously consider LTL overpowered or even on the same level as lethal.

  8. 20 minutes ago, Preme said:

Aww how sad that you actually have to work for it now instead of taking easy arrests

you obviously have never really used LTL or maxed cop role.  Tell you what, max out cop role (or play it a few rounds) then come back and give feedback on how strong LTL is.

Considering stunning and arresting a player will take him out of the mission for twice the time it is for just killing him and sending him to the respawn menu, no thanks previously with the PIG it was easy to abuse it with other combinations as mentioned before in this thread, it was easily a win ticket if the group all went LTL weapons, take into consideration the Criminals doesn't have the ability to take enemy Enforcers out for twice the time this nerf all makes sense when you look at all the aspects of it, so anyone who doubts this nerf is not justified and doesn't have a real point here, because everything was looked at and thought thoroughly many times before going LIVE, remember everything has a reason to it, and to find the reasoning behind this nerf you need to dive deeper as i showed here, end of discussion all your whining has been debunked, i've just eaten your queen in a chess game.

I wish we could still Dislike posts, as if we are superior to Reddit when even they have the downvote option how are we different ?, i wonder how many dislikes from sane people we had on the OP here.

Is there a death cam for being arrested like there is dying?

How many times have you been instantly resurrected after dying?

Because a stunned and arrested player can be released and is back in the game.  A killed opponent is always going to go through the death cam, wait to respawn, then run back to the point.

The argument that "an arrested player is taken out of the game twice as long" is a weak considering the fact that an arrested opponent can easily be freed by a team mate bringing them instantly back into the action.

Plus you are ignoring all the limitations of using ltl weapons vs lethal weapons.

So a gun designed to finish off is doing its job, instead of carrying the entirety of the non-lethal line up?

The gun was originally designed to be an effective 10 meter range double tap stun.

Then when G1 took over they decreased lethal TTK and increased non lethal TTS.

Basically G1 gutted LTL and LO is continuing to make it useless.  The PIG has been useless against lethal since G1 nerfed it.  You had to be A LOT better than your opponents to use it effectively even with 1 shot doing 90% of a persons stamina.

I maxed out my cop role long long time ago so I no longer care about how effective LTL is versus lethal, but at least I put in the work and realize how broken and useless LTL has been since G1.

Don't confuse losing threat with dethreating.

Detheaters, if not for their deliberate actions, would be playing in silver districts.

Others will simply bounce between districts naturally, and this is fine.

It's not about "silvers playing in bronze" its about golds playing in bronze.

That's just it, real golds have to do A LOT of work to lose their actual threat just to curb stomp people with little effort.  A real gold doesn't even find most silvers a challenge.  I doubt there are many real gold threat players actively dethreating.

Most of the people you see dethreating are silvers who got gold in the bronze district playing against bronze players and need to drop back down to silver so they can go back to the bronze servers.

Don't let a players rank fool you, even rank 255s who have been playing for years are stuck in bronze/silver threat.

Why are you playing on bronze district, stomping new players and dethreating on purpose before leaving the game, then repeating the same action over and over? This was SURELY addressed countless times but honestly, I didn't read that much into it, but if there are people on this forum who are like this, tell me, what is the purpose of doing this? Because the bonus exp and cash for killing is what, 5% more than normal if you get 20 more kills on bronze and green players? What is the problem of playing on silver districts when you've already mastered APB to it's core, stomping people on the same level as you rather than new comers that might even stay with the game, if they wouldn't get their patootie kicked all the time by people with incredible skills that are supposed to be shown on SILVER districts (or gold, that is always a ghost town).

I also have cranked that 3k hours mark but i'm bad at shooters, so I stick with bronze, I just love the idea of APB and i'm playing it with friends from time to time. I like grouping up with new players that can somewhat grasp english and show them how exactly this game works, some ropes, advices, etc. and say "hey, it can be bad at the start, but later on it gets better when YOU get better" (and then everybody clapped).

I honestly wish for these old 2012-2014 APB times to comeback, with old main menu login screen, where everyone was usually bronze and silvers weren't fake golds.

The people in the bronze district aren't gold threat players when you compare them to all the players active in APB Reloaded.

They are players who are somewhere in the silver range; low to high silver threat.  They are only considered gold threat players when they are playing against the lowest rank players, aka bronze threat.

The problem with having such a low population in this type of game is threat is only based on how that player has done against who they are playing against.

True gold threat players are permanently gold.  They don't drop to silver and they are stuck in the Silver/Gold districts.  Mid-high Silver threat players ping back and forth from Silver to Gold depending on who they have been fighting, bronze... they are still trying to figure out how to not perc themselves to death.

If you ever see a gold threat player in the bronze district, just understand they are not real gold threat players.  That if this game had a healthy population those players would be silver, maybe tap gold every once in a while, but mostly the players you see would be silver.

  13. threat and mission rewards used to be bolstered by the fact that you won the game solo versus a team.

the old system also had no restrictions on kicking players for the leader.  If the leader did not like you for what ever reason, say you were doing better than them, they could kick you so they could be the top player.

People used to exploit this by kicking their whole team as they finished the last step of a mission.  I had one guy do this at the last spray point of a mission.  He kicked everyone right after we wiped out the opposing team.  I happened to be near my car so I hopped in and disrupted his ability to spray the point.  When the enemy showed up they destroyed him and we all laughed at him getting angry and yelling in chat.  Threatened to get us all banned for interfering in his mission.

Still one of my fondest memories of dealing with a toxic player.

  14. Even when the dog ear did a lot of hard damage it wasn't that great against high health vehicles.  The only reason to use it was hanging outside a window in a car chase if you didn't like to use car surfer.

I bought the weapon for that hard damage, it's fine against silvers using lower health cars but not something I would ever try to win a mission with.

Of course we do. That doesn't change the fact that it gives silvers an easy way to reach gold by just spraying people down with that thing. Good players can fight anything but that doesn't excuse the existence of overpowered loadouts.

The last time I saw a gold using the atac was when it was first released.  After they went back to the ntec, joker carbine, and obeya.

Or examples of anything for that matter.

No offense but arent you a bronze district player? I only ask because of the cheater thing.

Also, criticism is fine and you know it.

Threads are only removed when rules are broken. Say what you will about the mods, they do a fair job when moderating the forums.

I say that from the perspective of being very very very close to being permanently banned from the forums. Break the rules and that's on you. As adults we need to take responsibility for ourselves.

but some gold killed me /s

Hate to say it, welcome to marketing in general. Same stuff happens on eBay, gumtree, you name it.

Item flipping is a common practice in many other games with player markets. Buy low, sell high.

If you can't handle that possibility, advertise your stuff, but don't sell it on the player marketplace. Sell it through the trade system and put them for higher prices. It'll still get flipped by someone, but at least your revenue will be higher.

Theme makers have the same issue. People will rip the entire theme off someone, remake it under their name and sell it for ludicrous prices. Basically, exclusive themes sent to friends become public overnight if you're not careful.

this is how I made a few billion in SWTOR.  I just bought up a lot of specific items when they were cheap/newly released on sale then resell them months later.
