Ive never had a problem with shields beyond their ability to block ladders.... then again as often as Im getting 1v1 and 2v2 missions, sometimes even that is a nice feature.

As Amayii mentioned, you can make your own designs (or copy others) at some of the kiosks in Social District. The system is a bit clunky but once you get the hang of it, you can make all kinds of stuff. Here are some samples from my portfolio. (Note: I am only an average symbol maker)

Honestly the whole thing was based on the weapon description. The Unique mod didnt say anything about increased RoF over the other Mounties, so they nerfed (fixed) RoF. Then myself and some others pointed out that the unique mod on the Ogre didnt say anything about increased RoF over the standard NFAS-12.... but apparently thats ok.

the official terminology is "fixed", not "nerfed"
