There is. Again, recoil shaking is pixels based (which is stupid) and you get way more control on shaking guns like, for example, s1-na manic. And also there is "oddity" on recoil range itself but it's not something I can easily and graphically show. I could record videos of me controling hard kicking guns on low and hight resolution, but it would not look objective. It's not. Again, distance on which you have to move your mouse to compensate recoil it is quarter shorter. We're not talking bout different screens or monitor position, we talking about the exact same monitor, but different recoil range. This actually makes a difference when you controling a gun. This weird action consists of many details, I just mentioned the ones which are obvious and easy to show. As I said, in-game recoill kinda stays the same, but your perception of it does not. Playing on lowres is just easier, that's it. Same thing? My point was that playing on low resolution is easier, thought you guys doubt it

okay bois @SquirrelFace@404 never expected to be disputed on such case, but here we go then apb reloaded resolution 101 Recoil consist of two things: vertical/horizontal range and shaking. As my lovely biscuit mentioned, shaking is pixel based, and this is a huge deal for all kind of weapons, from for example rough 45ap (which recoil and shaking kick hard) to machine guns This is the reason why many guns feel way smoother on low reasolution than on normal fullhd. But okay, this is minor advantage, recoil is the same, case closed huh? But then aspect ratio kicks in. No one plays on lowres because they have 4:3 monitor in 2020, or with black stripes on the sides, right? Graphically, this is how the exact same pattern look on different resoultion if you bring it into a more visual form, this is what we get Basically, it's 25% reduced vertical range, distance on which you have to move your mouse to compensate recoil it is quarter shorter. For game like apb it's huge advantage. About aiming convenience, it's even easier to explain, It's just goddamn easier to track the hitbox if it's wider, angles has nothing to do with it So basicaaly, in-game recoil range stays the same, but on your screen it's lower and you moving your mouse less more than that, our apb esports community derived the formula of perfect resolution for every gun in the game (yes, different resolution suit differend weapons better) and i'm not even kidding.

looking for old apb "frag" video
Nerima replied to BEASTASBTCH's topic in General Discussion Archive
apb is a smol game but over 10 years we've had hundreds of video creators and thouthands of fragtages, if you don't even remember how character looked i don't think anyone is able to find it -
You miss the whole point of engine upgrade, how game looks is last (and least) point of it. Do you research before whining This one may come as a suprise but they play on such res not to improve game's performace, but because of norecoil bug and cuz on lower resolution it's easier to aim wannabe esportsmans

When I work on my montages, I select suitable footage very meticulously, according to a lot of criterias. The problem here is that because of it I keep stacking huge amounts of extra footages that just aren't good enough and wasting huge amount of storage on it. This video is no exception, but just deleting everything that didn't make its way to final timeline would be even more of a waste so I decided to compile some of the leftovers In a separate video. Enjoy <З This thumbnail is brilliat, I know

oscar is never 'bout spamming dude it's actually closer to obir then to carbine This one is pretty accurate actually, expept for trouple maker and cap-40 In my opinion First one is not as OP as it originally was (thanks god), but it's still decent enough to be 1 tier higher While cap-40 is a more tricky case, Sergeant is pretty poitless with its modification but 2-slotted version is on point with oca or maybe just tiny bit weaker About oscar, luckily it's game breaking in a right pair of hands, for average players it's uncomfortable and weird thats freaking wierd, R-2, cr-5 and n-tec always been literally the same and r-2 is still the exact copy of n-tek for sure, if cr-5 is different I'm gonna be surprised, haven't touched it in few years gonna try it out

Thanks ! -
Dowload APB Advanced Laucnher and adjust these 2 settings. The higher you set them (to the right) - the better symbols will look on clothes and cars This is not the solution, "Primitive textures" seems to control either nothing or nothing.

Could be, if it wasn't like the thousandth time i'm hearing this joke in variable forms. Somewhat funny 6 years ago, boring now -

I usually post all my stuff there and do it regularly, no need to be sarcastic This time video is just an addition to main post and reinforcement of my words, not its main purpose About the song choise, thats understandable, next time maybe I'll do something for a wider audience, this one is more personalized ^_^ -
ur da mvp ! was binding such commands via my keyboard software, didnt even consider apbinput for some reason They actually do, that's why setting in 2.1 are way wider than in current version. And extended apbinput options are coming there as well (toggle sprint ftw) So nah, this is not bannable, at least for now. Apb settings are outdated and the fact that players found all the ways to fix it is a good thing. Afterall, i feel like command keybinds is a good idea for futher apb updates, after 2.1 of course.

Any questions?

Two months ago I posted a topic discussing whether coming back to apb is worth it and sharing a video that I brought together from old clips during quarantine. Eventually I did come back without any expectations and suddenly stayed, playing regularly during these 2 months. Some context: I’m playing apb since 2012, and I used to take breaks from it (as everyone else), but It’s always been only for a few month, while this time I left the game entirely for long 3 years, without any desire of coming back. And even tho after long 3 years not much has changed and game is generally the same, for some reason I’m actually enjoying it like never before. There are of course some flaws, strange decisions and straight fails (like yesterday’s beta), but overall I like the route LO is taking, meeting difficulties with honor and openness, not hiding behind the wall of silence. It’s especially contrasted for me, considering the fact that I left the game on the peak of G1's carelessness and game's despairing condition. I’m very grateful that the game got picked up by devs that actually care about it and about Its players (or at least it feels like this), I see how community’s mood is changing. So I just want to say thanks to new team and to all the players who are stiil here. For the first time since 2013 I actually feel like this game has a future. I fell in love again. in addition, there was many criticizing comments to that quarantine video from people who expected to see my old styled videos again. So this time I decided to put together some new clips keeping my familiar vibe in it but leveling up video’s quality and overall style. ngl It was kind of a work (editing took me way more time than usual), but I'm happy with the ending result, and hope you'll enjoy it too; Love ya’ll

Engine Update IS the worst tha happened to APB
Nerima replied to Resine's topic in General Discussion Archive
It's not the engine doomed apb, g1 did. If they have released new engine in 2014 (like they originally promised), or okay 2015, or even 2016, that would be fine. But instead of this they stretched the developement for long 4 years, and i still believe that at some point they completely stopped it an decided to release the game on colsoles and milk the shit out of it without any interactions with playerbase, saying that they are doing something from time to time. What LO doing now is finishing what must be finished and actually ressurecting the game. But enough of thess lyrics, there is actually the other side of the coin New engine is not only about optimization or slightly better graphics, its also about content creation. Engine update will facilitate the process of game expansion for developers. I remeber blogpost 'bout that, dont think i'll be able to find it now, but the main idea from there is: "apb's code is a mess (you must be naive or new to not be aware of that) that extremely difficult if not impossible to edit, expand, or troubleshoot, new engine will fix that with new ground-up code" -
There IS a "vapensotering ". When you are changing your gun you can choose a type in invetory to show only rifles or only shotguns and such. For me it's enough (and i have like 50 guns on my account). Dunno whats the point here.
