For further posts, or any information, there's a new thread with the new signature designer that's been created.
Once again, thanks @Keshi !
I don't think I need to close the thread, but there doesn't seem a need to keep this one open with the new one

A way to purchase items from a contact, that's not a contact?
On 6/13/2018 at 10:06 AM, Zolerox said:Doesn't need to be an actual contact. Look at devil dog it's just a laptop.
It's like APB hasn't gotten to the era of internet shopping and Amazon overnight shipping.

I don't quite believe it's Comcast's fault this time. I've having problems even playing on Gigabit Google Fiber

How do people keep having problems with AMD APUs overheating?
I've been using my A8 6600k since 2013 on the stock cooler, and have never had issues overheating... Albeit I've never overclocked it, but I've never needed more performance.
-
Building a pc isn't a bad idea, some older hardware is still competitive, and priced exceptionally well.
I wouldn't recommend buying some older processors at certain prices. (I have an AMD A8 6600k Black Edition, I paid $99 USD brand new... Amazon has a new one for over $400)
However, you can find some good parts and bargain prices if you look hard enough. Try the Pentium G3xxx something something, I've heard it's a great budget CPU. If you're team green, a GTX 1050 is always a good choice for a budget system. Team red, I'd say an RX 550 or 560 is a great idea, good performance for the money.
8GB of ram is probably recommended, but if you can't afford that, don't go less than 4gb. 2x4GB sticks shouldn't be expensive. A cheap case will do you good ($40 for my case back in 2013, Zalman Z9) I got a Corsair CX 600 PSU, and it's been going strong so far.
Find any decent motherboard that will support your processor, and you'll be good to go.

Holy cow, it's been hosted, glad to see it come back to fruition! Thanks @Keshi
I guess starting that other thread was a good idea to bring attention back to it
Edit:
Already made my new signatures!
The backgrounds do seem a little stretched, and the editor is a bit finicky, but I love it!

Using A8 6600k with HD 7850 (as the integrated gpu is absolutely horrible), and I can tell you the performance is good enough on my end (60 fps most of the times with drops to 45 when many cars blow up)
AMD did not improve enough the integrated gpu's, they are still slower than Radeon HD 7500+ , so your performance will be not the best (40-50 fps I believe, playable, but not optimal)
Overclocking should be doable easily from BIOS if they kept the same layout as it is on FM2 motherboards, just don't push it too hard
omg, I have the same APU as you.
You'll be fine with any AMD A6, A8, A10, or Ryzen builds.
I'm not an expert on FX series chips, but I believe most if not all will work.
I'm running the game on a GTX 650, and didn't have too many issues with the integrated graphics (albeit it's just integrated graphics)
I'll be fulling upgrading to team red at the end of the summer, with an RX 560.

If I remember correctly, you can find some of that out here:
Doesn't seem like a whole new set of servers, but a change in the networking and stuff...
I'm a programmer, and specialize in PC hardware... I don't do well with servers and networks.
They're working on it though

What about having titles similar to the in game titles?
Edit:
Or, If possible, could we make a change that would require approval by someone like a GM or Admin, and make a Title Change like a Name Change, you can only change it every x days... (30 or 60?)?
This could limit on the number of active changes, and the abuse of the system.

I remember this photo, used to be my wallpaper for my laptop

I'd stay away from shaders, as if you do use them, and ever record footage or screenshots of your game, and if they're posted publicly, you could potentially get banned for it. Not to mention they had to screen the advanced launcher to make sure it doesn't modify anything they don't want you to modify. As well as confirming it works with BattlEye.
Try seeing when they're going to implement the engine changes, and upgrades to visuals (hopefully) that they take suggestions for shaders to be 'officially' added.

While kicking players is a bit rough (even though I agree they have nothing to do there), how about slashing the multiplier ? Like dividing it by 10 or something (e.g.: Gold enf in bronze would only have a 0.2x multiplier at Prestige 5), that would at least prevent them from grinding their levels in bronze. I think I remember this being something a few years back ....
I believe that's exactly how consoles have the districts.
Back when they had the segregated districts, and people were dethreating, they opened them and had the reduced multiplier for rewards. Even that didn't work. imo, make threat harder to gain or lose. Make it more constant, and it'll be harder to dethreat, reducing the incentive.

I've been getting pretty severe packet loss, I've gotten on today, and during peak times, I'll get 1 mission, 3/4 or 5/6 stages in, or the last stage, and I'll get disconnected. Every mission I've played.
I'm guessing it's because of the population increase and DDoS mitigation all putting duress on the server. (Jericho)

That looks beast, thanks! I'll so some investigation, and see about getting/finding someone to host it

LTL is fine, there's nothing wrong with the idea or implementation of it, from my experiences, there have been plenty of high risk, high reward scenarios. (speaking as a crim here)
The only thing that annoys me the most with any sort of LTL is the percussion nade, and the DMR. DMR is a rarer occurrence so I pay no mind to it. Percs however, should be reworked, or changed. They're used as a last second crutch, and only need to be dropped while dying in cqc...

I had mine as black for the longest time, but after I started using the Advanced Launcher it's been transparent now... sooo...

Okay mr nude artist, would you point what exactly makes a drawing pornographic, and what makes a drawing not pornographic?
How about I answer this for you with a quote? I'm neither an artist, or an expert on the matter, simply a passing human, with knowledge on the matter.
There's this Manga that I have read give a good embodiment of the idea. It's titled: Rough Sketch Senpai
There's no pornographic nudity, although many allusions to nudity. Chapter 2 has the main character's muse posing similar to that of Gustav Klimt's painting Danae (Link to wikipedia about the artwork)
(Sorry for adding a few more images, I added more than I originally intended.)
An artwork that may have a nude person, clearly isn't pornography, but it has a symbol, a meaning, a reason behind it.
I'm not going to debate simply stating that the nude symbols in the game are or aren't artwork. Real artwork has meaning and thought behind it. That is the difference that @Zascha was talking about.

I don't believe that anything is really going to develop from this thread anymore... so I'll stop posting after this.
Enjoy the game as much as you can.
If you're worrying about someone else's language, try to see if you two can communicate somehow.
Otherwise, just move on. There's around a 1000+ people playing right now (Steam stats) I'm sure you're going to find most of them to be English speakers.
Let's just learn to live and let everything be.

I'm all out of reactions again... what's with that >.> I wish I had more to give.
Great speechs Salvick. I hope that the toxicity of the game at least subsides if not permanently, but temporarily while the returning players prove everyone who doubted them wrong.
I've never been banned, and have myself been toxic with players who I suspected of cheating. Whether or not those players were banned doesn't matter. The community should be welcoming a return to higher populations. The new anticheat is doing it's best to prevent any players who want to ruin the fun.
Can't wait to see old faces again.

1. They're not only U.S. Servers. That's like saying Microsoft is a U.S. only company, they don't do business anywhere else...
2. The North American Server is predominantly English Speaking because the main audience is predominantly English Speaking (Canada and U.S.)
3. Just as they can join the EU server, they can join the NA server. Which, if I remember, a Russian player can join to troll as well... should he/she be banned from the server just for wanting to play on it? (hint: the answer's no)
As much as you might not like to have a teammate that might not speak your language, and that certainly does suck, because this game is team based. However, they have just as much a right to pick the server that is closest to them to play on. Like it or not. Now, as for "STFU, LEAVE" chats, anyone speaking English, German, whatever can say that, and harassing is against the ToS, so they would be digging their own hole.
Yes these servers are in the U.S., but can you guess why? Because the U.S. is geographically, and population wise, in the middle of the region for all the players.
Detect THIS, battleye.

I have a PS4... and like 6 PC's (5 laptops, 1 desktop)
I can say, that I like the PS4 controller, it fits well, and works for some games.
I can also say that I love keyboard and mouse input, it works for most games.
(Racing games, controller always beats keyboard and mouse)
but a competitive, and fast paced game like APB? Kb/m hands down. You need the precision, and the reflex of your whole hand and wrist to get the most out of your game. (it's why CS:GO doesn't exist on consoles)
Making fun of someone's profile pic is attacking the person not the argument, let's try to dial that down. It's like someone calling you a Yu-Gi-Oh scrub or something like that. It's not thought provoking, only stupid jabs a person's avatar. Keep it far from the forums.
