Hello everyone,

 

Our standard weekly maintenance will be held this Wednesday (12/03) starting at 9 AM UTC. The game should be back up and running in 6 to 8 hours.

I seriously hope 10th December you guys are delivering Legends, since 17th December is start day of Xmas event and Legends are promised before the Xmas event.

We'll get a new AMA with another delayed timeline with more promises before that legend update gets out.

Every time i play this game and see one of you i just sigh. because i know the match is going to be total dogshit. your clan always uses the cheapest most annoying tactics to win.

And so it will be. These developers don't have a goal to develop the project. This is evident from their actions. I can't imagine a beginner who might enjoy the game in its current form. And the gaming community cannot live without newcomers. Updating the Legend has no effect on the quality of the game. Just dust in the eyes. Copy, paste, tweak the settings, change the name - a typical content update of these "developers". The number of players will rise for a few weeks, and then fall back to the basement. The game is not capable of retaining players, it is not capable of providing a healthy competitive gameplay. The developers are not doing anything to improve the quality of the game. Well, who asked them to fix the bug with the car doors? Okay, they fixed the bug, but another one appeared. The character does not leave or get into the car if the door is half open. It is necessary to open the swing door as if it were the door of a limousine approaching the red carpet. Why not remove the cargo-carrying bug from the game? Just add a two-second delay before the sprint. Why was it necessary to slow down the speed of loaded cars? This did not improve the quality of the game. It just increased the number of Vegas cars on the road. Why did you add the "Autosprint" feature? It's not enough! Add the Auto-Aim feature It's awfully convenient! New players will enter the game in droves. I can name many more such holes. But who needs it? Matt Scott? Or Psydaka? Not funny.
Do you know why the population has declined so much? I'll explain. There are about 50 players with NTEC and AP 45. These players set the pace. You can find them on the Leaderboard that Matt kindly suggested (it's not clear why you need it). There are roughly 300 players who can't make 100,500 kills, but they want to be important. That's why they use all sorts of crap for which they were banned by a great new anti-cheat. 
At this point in time, there are 50 Leaders left in the game, 50 twinkies, 50 idiots who continue to suffer for some reason, and 5 newcomers.

The anticheat is so good you can bypass it by running APB in a Windows virtual machine. Going by the posts on this forum, it even kindly notifies you that your cheat was detected so you can fine tune it.

Before you might think that we would have any disagreement about the lack of improvements, we don't. 

 

I've been shouting out on this forum for very long time, maybe years, that they should start focusing on getting new players in here. But I must say that I even have discussed with @CookiePuss about the forum not being dead and I see that I've lost that argument, as there's nothing left here tbh. I might be one of those 50-idiots still believed that the forum was something, but well, I was wrong ^-^

I was just popping in to see about updates like the new contact ect, 

This place is as dead as the weed grass in my yard, or Desert Grasses. 

Someone made a 15 ft tall snowman out of 3 large tumble weeds on 

the main corner in my town. 

 I think the ac is working for the free hax and a large part of NA no longer play, 

mind you our average is 50 players on a good day, and only later in the evening. 

I spend too much time doing side jobs for tickets that ruin my k/d, for tickets that 

dont really offer me an OP weapon. 

 Come down to the game being so boring on a social level and on a mission variety level, 

you know im a music person, if they can't hear my tunes, i got no reason to hang out, pretend 

we passin n puffin. Music people love to share the vibe. 

So it comes down to giving up as far as apb being that social outlet and the cop/crim roleplay, 

and taking it for just a shooter, and just work on kills over the tickets or even winning the mission.

 Use the vast number of guns i already have instead of grinding tickets for those newer ones.

If I play it has to be for another goal other than gold, because the threat system hates me, and they don't 

have any indicator as to how close you are to changing threat, up or down. 

I can buy these tickets very ez, their not expensive, that said' it was a routine i had for years going around 

to my 5 maxes and others getting the ticket jobs, so if you take that out, thats 2hrs a day or more.

 So my motivation to play now only comes from the urge to shoot them/in game kills, as opposed to a 

place to hang out.  Wow i wrote allot, you have a good day now.

You have to be crazy if you cannot objectively see that number of players are doubling down each year as the year passes.

When was New Horizon launched? 6th of august 2024. Check the data. 1,186 players online. Look how long that number lasted?

Ever since, the player base kept dropping, every few months for literally 100 players less. 
If player base was 10 000 we would not notice 100 players less... but since entire player base was around 500 you definitely notice when 100 ppl suddenly vanish. Then another 100..and now we are at 200 players. Most of which are veterans who cant let go. 
This legends patch is the last resort you have and last chance to bring players back.

But then after its release, we need events, we need new content we need to see that devs are actually caring for the game. Give job to more devs. Hire more devs. You cannot function with 1 physical dev. 
I admire this man how he even decided to stay in APB. I am grateful for it. But this leads nowhere.
It takes too long, to see any change. People are not as patient as they were.

You are prolonging inevitable death of APB if there wont be some serious changes. 
You cannot attract new player base with having certain glitched weapons being in usage 24/7. 
I invite the dev to play few missions, stay in FC. Look at the bs.
Don't get me wrong, take the critique, embrace it, improve. 

Lets start working together on bringing the new population. Lets start with changes. It is now or never.
If this Legendary patch gonna be postponed again after this year, next month you will have player base of 100 people. 
When patch finally comes, you will introduce it to those 20 people left, who remained waiting only to see, get disappointed and finally delete the game. 

 

Change the meta usage of ca3, change meta weapons usage, give chances to newcomers. Dont make them start with literally 0$ with 0 unlocked decals, that they cant even start to explore customization which is the only ace in sleeve this game has, but nobody waits that long to unlock the basics. 

I started to develop new chars, I play for 3 months with completely new char, not daily, when I get the time. I reached rank 90 and I have to say if I weren't a veteran and in love with this game, I would have deinstalled it already 500 times.
Its insane to compete with broken MM, without any starting weapon without any slot, without even char slot opened. Without being able to buy and use ca3 before you are rank 40. Do you have any idea how long it takes to reach rank 40 with star gun 0 slot, no grenade (since its not unlocked), no money, with basic useless car?? 

You wonder why there are no new players? ARE you KIDDING ME?!?!?! Seriously??? Someone there sitting in Little orbit wondering why pop is dropping or why we never get new pop??
Do you guys or your employees ever created a char? Ever tried to max your char? Do you even play???

There needs to be some serious changes in the core! Forget engine upgrade!

Start working on a easier process for newcomers and maybe someone will actually stick along longer than 1 hour of complete traumatic experience and torture, after which they proceed to alt f4, format the part of disk their APB was installed on, right after they chopped that disk out of their pc and set whole thing on fire; type of game experience!!
Wake up!!

 

New content, new events, all fine with that, but make not the tutorial process easier, but way shorter and ffs give people at least startup of 10k apb $, 1 char mod, 1 wep mod! 
Lets brainstorm this! If someone has something against this, fine, do tell, elaborate, lets adapt. 

But one thing is certain! This cannot continue because the APB is seriously this time dying for real, even though people kept saying game is dying since 2015...but this time, just observe the statistics. Numbers don't lie! 
Pattern is there!

Lets try to keep APB alive at least for few more years! Please! Lets start changing things!
Otherwise shut the whole thing down tomorrow already and be done with it!

And stop tormenting us further, and stop tormenting this video game program any further. Pull the plug and rest it in peace! Maybe one day somewhere sometimes someone will create APB 2.
