Since the release of GFAC we've been working around the clock to improve our detections and feel like now is a good time to reiterate our stance on Hardware level Macros and Macroing software. While our Terms of Service clearly outlines Macroing is against the rules we still see some users believing that they can get away with using a Macro to automate actions during APB's moment to moment gameplay - This is NOT allowed and we have already been applying sanctions to accounts that were heavily involved in the use of Macros.
 

In the hours after this post we're going to be starting to more aggressively sanction the usage of Macros when playing APB: Reloaded so this is a final warning to those that use any form of Macro when playing the game.

One question: when you gonna block the ability to bind mouse wheel up/down as 'shoot' action?

Prob won't but if the intervals are close enough, it might end up picking up anyways if it's a free scroll.

My thoughts are, 

anything that is available to configure in the default "Settings" 

is open to everyone.

 

Unfortunately, Custom Crosshairs to alleviate the in-Game Bloom. 

is not yet available in the Settings.

I looked.

I always thought of it as legit feature since its available to anyone.
The post was more like about 3rd party tools, not something that is build in the game it self.

EDIT: BUT, it could be unfair if you dont have a wheel on your mouse..... like one of those vintage mouses with the PS/2 connector.
In those cases, i understand why should they remove it....

They are saying you cant cheat and instead have to learn how to click a mouse.

Learned the Obeya FBW / Joker Carbine Firerate the hard/correct way.

Took some time but now with the right muscle-memory it's a very rewarding experience and not unthinkable to run entire missions with just the FBW. Also I think that the learning and presence of mistakes makes it more fun.

 

I play games for the challenge, which is why I love APB:R. I only complain about the most blatant cheaters out there. I'm sure many people 'cheat' but I like the chess of counteracting.

But as for cheaters themselves, they are a bunch of pathetic people. Why even use macro's to 'be more effective' and 'cheat' to win, what's the point in that. I genuinely don't understand how that can be fun.
