Scrapping games and game modes happen all the time at every gaming studio. Shit literally happens. Look at Overwatch, it took 3 failed games to create it. With that being said, RIOT mode should be discontinued immediately and after the engine update should be revisited to revamp/overhaul and re-release as something else.
