    As an avid user of social kiosks, I found myself utilizing a tool made by SKay to convert colors to their closest possible representation in APB HSL format.

     

    Unfortunately the site has been down for a while, so I created a tool based off of the one which we all loved.

     

    The tool is accessible by a direct URL here: apb.social/apbhsl

     

    This can also be accessed on the main site in the navigation bar.

    Instructions:



    Click the BIG BOX to open a color picker.

     

    You can manually choose a color, or input a value in the module.

     

    Once a color is chosen, the APB HSL values will automatically adjust.

     

    The in-game color will be reflected on the characters shirt.

    Update: I have added the ability to Export/Import profiles.

     

    There will now be an Export Profile option at the bottom in Manage Profile (Edit Screen).

     

    This will save a .ldt (.loadout shortened) file which can then be imported by other players!

     

    (.ldt files are a text file containing a list of the items you've added.)

     

    With this new feature, I have also created some profiles for your use! (Google Drive Links):

    - Legendary Weapons [All Legendary weapons]

    - Less than Lethal [All LTL weapons with presets]

    - Standard Weapon Set (3 Slot) [All 3-Slot Contact Weapons -- Same items as old loadout generator]

     

    These can be imported using the new "Import Profile" button in Manage Inventory.

     

    Please feel free to share profiles that you've created in this thread!

     

    If we get enough submissions I will create an area on the main post for players to easily locate and download your profiles~

    Hey cool, I didn't know that was archived 🙂.

     

    I am adding Profile Import/Export capabilities which will allow for sharing and backing up your profiles.

     

    Hopefully this feature will remove the need to use the older tool and allow us to create some standard profiles such as what is rotated on the old site.

    I have recreated one of the first tools I ever released on the forums-- a random loadout generator.

     

    This tool allows you to add your in game items to generate a random loadout for combat!

    This can be used to spice up your gaming sessions, or to have a fun competition with your friends.

     

    The tool can be accessed in the navbar on the main Breakwater site, or is accessible directly:

    Profile Collection (files for import):

    Profiles can be modified or deleted by clicking "Manage Inventory"

    Note: You will be unable to delete the Default Profile, but you can modify and rename it.

    To add weapons, click on "Primary Weapons" or "Secondary Weapons" while editing a profile.

    In the search bar, begin typing the weapon you are looking for and hit enter (minimum of 2 characters)

    If the loading bar appears and no results are returned, there are no search results to display. Please try narrowing your search or referencing it in game to find it.

    To clear your search results, click the "Clear Search Results" button above the weapons.

    To select a weapon, click the plus sign on the right side.

    For more information on a weapon, you can click the globe to view it's apbdb page with more details.

    To add modifications or grenades, click on the desired category and then click the Icon to toggle the mod on or off.

    Items that are currently not selected will be greyscaled with a darker background.

    First and foremost, I would like to say thank you.

     

    Whether you submitted an entry to the contest or you voted for your favorites, you (the community), are the reason why this is all possible. I will admit that having three submission categories may have been over zealous, but thanks to all of your support we were able to create something memorable!

    With the recent Joker Store updates, clothing options are more accessible than ever before.

    With Halloween coming in hot, you can be whoever you want, so why don't we do just that, APB style?

     

    Welcome to Halloween Mayhem!

     

    A Halloween themed clothing design contest, with three submission categories:

     

    Backstory Blitz (Lore)

     

    Looks that kill (Style/Fashion)

     

    Ghoulish Gathering (Costume)

     

    The winners of each category are influenced by YOU!

    React to the posts that you want to see win!

     

    Each category has a unique forum thread to collect your submissions.

    Please make sure to follow the requirements & guidelines for each category when submitting your entries.

     

    Feel free to submit as many entries as you like, multiple submissions are allowed.

     

    How to participate:

    Submit a forum post to the appropriate thread, making sure to follow requirements and guidelines for the contest category.

     

    Guidelines:

    The outfit must be made by you.

    Please do not use any copyrighted material except from APB or it’s lore. Outfits containing copyrighted material cannot be added to the JT store.

     

    Winners will be chosen as follows:

    The 10 posts with the most reactions will move onto the semi-finals.

    Semi Finals: The above posts will then be judged by a panel of yet-to-be-revealed veteran players, and the top 5 posts will move onto the finals.

    Finals: Little Orbit will judge the top 5 posts, choosing a winner for each category!

     

    Prizes:

    First place winners in each category will have their outfits added as clothing available in the Joker Store.

    Three 500JT codes will be raffled off to players that made it to the finals in each category.

    Biography/History (Long):

     

     

    Bri (23F) grew up in midtown. She was always a hard worker, and found an interest in engineering and biology at a young age. She always over analyzed everything, trying to figure out how it works and finding ways to make it better. In addition to this Bri was over-competitive; Always wanting to be the best. She was always punished because of her behavior, but has learned to loosen up over the years.


    In elementary school she learned during her gym class that she loves soccer. I mean she absolutely LOVES it. She has almost every signature of professional players from midtown, and has traveled around the world to watch the cups. Not only does she LOVE soccer, but she's also amazing at it. Her Speed and Strength combined with her intellect and over-analyzing brain is a force to be reckoned with. This is proven by her multiple gold medals, and fame in the area. Her abilities allowed her to net great scholarships and offers to prestigious universities around the world.


    Speaking of offers, she got an offer to Huntsman University. One of the hottest Universities around. She decided to double-major in Biochemistry and Engineering... and she also played for their Soccer team (#08). As she got deeper into her major, she applied and joined their prestigious research team. This university works a bit different, as all research teams throughout the school work together on a big project. The team in total is very small, only a select few from each major are chosen if their skills fit— not to mention they enforce strict rules regarding the spread of information. Nobody seems to really know what they do, but your girl Bri got in.


    She was accepted due to her vast knowledge surrounding Biochemistry. It's not that her engineering experience was insufficient, it's just that she was more needed for chemical research. She started off small, researching different chemical compounds and their effects on plants. She was told her research was for a replacement pesticide, which would be used around San Paro to stop their heavy weed problem...


    Eventually she was moved under another superior to research chemical compounds acting as nerve agents, which can pause or destroy the central nervous system. She was told the research was directly related to her research on pesticides, as they planned on training Artificial Intelligence with failure models, so they can train the Ai to recognize harmful substances to humans.


    This made sense to Bri, as she very well understands the power of Artificial Intelligence being in a field of science.


    Soon after starting research on nerve agents, she was approached by a member of the Prentiss Tigers after one of her soccer matches. She doesn't remember who they were, as they were trying to keep a low-profile as not to be noticed. They explained they have been keeping an eye on the school's research program, specifically after an unnamed individual became involved. They explain that they believe the research is for nefarious purposes, and may pose a threat to the surrounding community.
    They explaint that they were also able to trace emails and their attachments with sensitive information, but couldn't fully break the encryption on the emails. They asked if she would be willing to work them them from the inside to ensure the safety of San Paro and it's citizens.


    Bri obliged and started working with the Prentiss Tigers, but someone caught wind and she was soon forced out of the university. She wasn't publically expelled, but was told her offered benefits and monetary gifts would no longer continue, and she was forced to leave. When asked why, they claimed she was working with a criminal organization looking to undermine and cause harm to the university. She continued fighting to get back in, until she was blacklisted and denied entry.


    After being forced out of university, she joined the Prentiss Tigers, to get revenge on the fuzzy bunny that did this to her, and finally to try and solve the mystery— now that there seems to be more than meets the eye.


    *The research program was later revealed to be ran in conjunction with Red Hill Institute of Technology, on a top secret project that we would only find out about years later.*

     

    Recently she was tasked with infiltrating the Joker Distribution supply chain, as they need someone on the inside. Their most recent wave of massive recruitment seemed very strange, after decades of the same employee base. They are afraid there may have been a big corp takeover, looking to control San Paro and it's citizens.

     

     

    VICTOR "SENTINEL"

    Biography / History:

     

    You think you know the slums until you hear the stories this guy tells you. Victor was born out of wedlock and banished by his parents family. Growing up as an orphan in a not-so-nice neighborhood, he had to learn how to survive. Victor learned any criminal act he could find to survive, and mastered it.

    On his road of survival, he crossed paths with many enforcers; Mainly Praetorians. They had their eye on him. They saw his talent, and knew he had nothing. What's a better motivator than money?

    They just needed the job done.

    The job was a hit on Gumball, nobody has been able to succeed; But they thought Victor could. Victor had it all planned out, but when push came to shove, he was cornered and swayed by Gumball himself — bringing to light that he was only being used by the Praetorians, and that they would dispose of him just like the others.

    Victor's a smart guy, while he knew he couldn't trust Gumball— he knew he was right. At that moment, Gumball pitied him enough to let him live. After joining Gumball, he lost his name.

    He was only called by his assigned role; "Sentinel". After becoming one of Gumballs goons, he guarded his team as they finished up their job. He successfully thwarted many threats during their assassinations and heists. Eventually he became so valuable, he became one of Gumball's bodyguards.

    Gumball heard about new weapons and technology being developed by Joker Distributions, and has sent Sentinel to infiltrate them. Once infiltrated his job will be to secure and deliver ammo and new tech before it hits the market. If anybody knows how to protect the goods, it would be this guy.

    Yeah, it would be easy for anyone that has a character already. I would just plop them in and make an aesthetic paint trail behind them. Unfortunately I can't draw, so this is the only way it could happen x).

    That is an interesting idea. I think for guns, in addition to a gun model preview, it would be interesting to ultimately see your selected character holding/shooting the gun as this holds more importance from an aesthetic point of view. (this game is 3rd person after all)

     

    Also, if something like this were implemented it may be possible to rip the models and textures from the browser. It seems Little Orbit is not totally against this as they made anti-cheat modifications to allow Ninja Ripper so Jenz could continue with their group photo project. This is probably the biggest concern that would prevent an implementation of something like this.

    Keep in mind this game is for Mature Audiences (18+ in most countries). If it's not considered hate speech or nudity below the belt (more specifically genitalia) it most likely won't get removed and is not against TOS.

    I was super excited to hear this when he said it live. At the end of the day even if they cannot technically port over the map and models, they should be able to use the map design itself and reuse some of their assets to bake it up.
