    Good call homie.
uhh... the weapon balance stuff is being done parallely to the engine upgrade... so... that's different from what he wanted.

(dunno about the trade, but i think that was actually afterwards - as he said, so i suppose you are right there)

You know what I say? Drop all the bullshoot with the trading system, the weapon balances, and all the other bullshoot. Have a small team work on network issues. ALL of the rest of the resources put into upgrading to 3.5. I honestly don't give a fuck if there will be no balances and no trading system as long as we get to 3.5 sooner I'm fine living without those for now and the network issue I would solve that asap.

i do doubt that everyone working on the other things would be able to do programming work - so assigning all human ressources to that probably wouldn't improve much.
if we are talking "raw capital" as ressource - as in hiring new devs - i doubt many would be really that interested. they'd have trouble hiring people with the proper expertise that would be worth it.
then there is outsourcing, lots of big game studios are doing that. an option, i suppose, as they might have the right specialists over there - but apb is apparently using very heavily customized engine so... i think that would also be too specific. maybe a thing for the transition from 3.5 to 4 though.

idk what would be reasonable here to speed things up - or if this is even feasible. i think if anything was, they would've done it already.
i'm sure they are aware of the priorities this community made very clear over the course of... well 4 years since it was q1 2014 xd. it's just not possible to accelerate things that easily.

Welp, I used the mobile paying method and paysafecards constantly  whenever i had a few bucks to spare... guess i'll feed off other addictions
paysafecards should still be around the same price

and if you buy from the usa (...) you still get the tax-free prices.

    this started in 2015: https://forums-old.gamersfirst.com/topic/383940-armas-tax/
    https://forums-old.gamersfirst.com/topic/375503-eu-vat-effect-on-g1c/
it has been like this ever since - they only removed parts of paymentwall and mobile payment for various reasons.

wasnt on mine until LO became the big bois
it was there for the last three years (came into effect around 2015). under g1 aswell. including paypal. lo didn't change it that in any way. it was still missing from paymentwall after the pricechange. (as they (usually) add it themselves)

Previously I could purchase 400 g1c for 5$. After the g1c ratio increase the cost also increased. From 80 g1c per 1$ it got upped to 80,65 g1c per 1$. What a deal!
edit: apparently only paysafecard payment is 500g1c / 5$

paymentwall is/was the same (5$ for 400 but upon checkout you get charged with the tax - occassionally.). and papal was always like that. however, by moving to usa *cough* you could solve that

  6. you can only buy one every day,
you can only buy them if you unlocked it through the weapon role.
if you hover over the lock you can see which of them prevents you from buying it (tooltip should show), usually.

rifleman (= assault rifles) is the role to level.
    role level 13 unlocks it.

If you have met enough earrape theme users to fill your ignore list, then I do apologize.
    well more than zero xd

nah tbf, that's the only time i ever feel the need to ignore someone

or if they do the most ridiculous hackusations so i get tempted to answer

The problem with paypal is that there is a lot of tax on top of the price. While on other payment options there isn't any tax added to the price. How does that come?

G1/LO just adds the taxes directly at PayPal, whereas for Visa etc. the paymentprovider (PaymentWall) will, is my best guess.
Also you might get additional fees if your CC is charging you extra for payments e.g. outside of the EU.

Moving to USA *cough* should get you the G1C without the added tax though when using PayPal.

You could've seen that your post was empty in my quote too or if you'd look at what you wrote.

If you tried to just paste them, you would've seen an error too. You need to upload them to a third party host such as https://imgur.com

Oh, "Wait, I forgot where I was for a second. Sorry."

But gathering from what you wrote, that is quite weird then.

Personally I only know about people where it worked out fine and I didn't have issues with support before, so bear with me.

It'll be all resolved eventually though - no need to be so passive-aggressive.

The steps I'm being asked to do in my support ticket are for changing my email or if I didn't have access to my email. I have access to my email. What I'm asking to do shouldn't require any of this stuff...

the issue is on your side. the password reset website works flawless for me and others. maybe your email program or provider is either filtering or you are using a wrong address

maybe ask someone - support or higher - to send you a manual verification mail or smth so they have a chance to reset it manually? that is, if you were really using the right and original mail.

Armas prices are getting reduced (and g1c value bumped by 20%) after this week.

I assume having premium when the new prices come back would be 50% off the prices.

Nah, you get 20% off with premium, and now you get another 20% off because of the new g1 ratio. that's 0.8*0.8=0,64 of the usual price - so 36% off. The sale is 50% - and it didn't sound like they would change the item prices for now - but maybe at a later point. Which seems fair.

the playerbase isnt big enough for them to lower the prices that much they still need to make money and by selling accountwide weapons for 10-20$ they wont with the amount of players

yes, i'm well aware, as described in the last paragraph. they made a good and appropriate change for the current situation but i don't think the solution they employ atm is gonna be enough in long term. but i suppose they might be aware of this anyway

also, another 20% would mean around $28 which is still a quite high pricetag for one singular weapon

? you can get a JT lease of the 3 slot osmaw no matter which rank (and unlock them forever by leveling the role)

m1922 is outclassed by other smgs

and you can always buy every leagendary weapon from social mp if it isn't for JMBs

you're not restricted by rank here but money or time.

wait wasnt MsYunoGasai ray? nvm then. why bother.

Effective 12pm PDT on Monday the 9th, we will be adjusting the amount of G1C that you get for each $1. Right now $1 gets you 80 G1C. I don't like that. It makes ARMAS pricing confusing and hard to figure out. Moving forward $1 will get you 100 G1C. Not only does that make the pricing much easier to understand, but it lowers the cost of all ARMAS items by 20%. Permanently.

A really good change imo - but accountbound permanent weapons are still around $35 outside of sales. Sure, permanent for all character is quite the feat but it is still ridiculous, considering that whole games are valued at that price.

I do own around 65 of them alone, along with legendaries - but I wouldn't consider my willingness (along with people with bigger or similar inventories) normal.

Even buying 3-4 weapons is quite pricey, which should be considered quite normal though - ofc, you can lease them or equivalents way cheaper or free ingame in many cases - but I wouldn't consider owning an inventory with one weapon permanently per range/case worth 120 dollars.

There were starter packs etc. from G1 which seemed like a step in the right direction though.

To be fair, most of the ARMAS weapons are 3-slotted too which supposedly also justifies the price. You don't need mods that bad so cheaper 0-2 slots could be a solution - however the prices for the best of the best - 35 for a 3slot permanent for all chars still doesn't seem worth as much as a whole game to the average consumer. I don't think normal people would consider this a reasonable investment, even if you like the game a lot and want to support it and wanna have good stuff along that.

My propose would be to lower the prices to around sales niveau - maybe another 20% less and only do small sales, that would lower the prices to 55% of the current ones. I already own basically everything I'll ever need so this is not really just in my interest but ye, just to put it in consideration. I guess this would be reasonable in a bit more far future though, as it's obvious that you made some investment to buy APB and want to see some revenue now. Just maybe - maybe - to make it more appealing to new players that come along with 3.5/4.

And advanced launcher is legal? I can him normally dow legal i won’t ban for that?

it is definitely legal, there is no law that prohibits it

but yes, LO permits the usage too for the time being. they are looking to integrate the options into the ue3.5 version of the game, that will likely break advanced launcher, so there won't be any need anymore

the biggest thing to look at in the settings should be particle limit if you get drops at times when lots of stuff is going on

    Hi Wadara

i would agree that your GPU isn't intended for gaming, or be it to the requirement of APBR (even if the gpu box has game advertisement)

    a few extra points.

    • Vivox chat - open "task manager" and locate vivox and "end task" , (providing you dont want to hear people ingame, this app sucks the life out of your memory)
    • ingame disable vsync and go to low or medium graphics, up the options 1 by 1 until your fps become unstable. (i would expect 40fps on your 745 if lucky)
    • another option is to run the game in a "window mode" instead of "full screen" or "window full screen", for example running it at 1280x720 is 720hd, can still be intensive, depending on your screen just down size the res by 10 or 20 pixels.

your hardware looks good other then Gpu, i would personally have the OS on an ssd and the 1tb as a games drive, especially for APBR.  currently the 960 / 970 or 1060 are coming down in price, and currently you can pick up a sandisk ultra2 or Samsung evo 240gb for under 90£ (in the uk)  .

Hope that helps dude. all the best

    Drayke

no need to sign posts on forums xd

but nah small differences in res won't do much of a change

     - unless the 10 pixels were jsut a figure of speech.

lowering res should be the last resort anyway.

running apb from a ssd considerably lowers the lifetime of it because apb writes a lot on it. i use it too, but just putting that out there. (i know you just said OS but ye.)

the gtx 745 IS on the very low end, so you should consider upgrading it to a newer one. a 1050 (ti) should be more than enough for your usage though

I have a GeForce 1050 Ti and told most of my clan and friends to get one or even a 1080

I normally get 62 fps with it

and no I would not overclock for a grain of sand worth of performance since it only kills your computer faster for hardly any improvements

even with bigger OCs the cpu will live for 5+ years. i wouldn't recommend it unless he has a good cooler though. the improvements are quite big though - but not needed for APB, his cpu is fine.

dude its still too barebones and confusing if you're just a new player of a game like APB and have no previous notion of how to play.... APB is a very complex game in the first place because it tries to blend RPG/Shooter mechanics all in one, plus people who play games like GTA or other 3rd person games will play APB the same way most of the time....which in action we have seen makes them silvers. They have slow aim and they really dont know how the game works.

at the end of the day they'll just feign ignorance and call it either a "shitty game" or its a "P2W game" without conducting enough research themselves or trying to understand the mechanics of how to play the game because they dont want to change anything about the way they play because theyre so stubborn and want the game to function to their ideals, most of the time that ideal is that all 3rd person games should play like GTA, which would just make APB another generic, run of the mill, boring game

exactly, it probably needs to be more in-depth but the bigger issue here is that people just don't look at it - cause, you know, how hard can a game be.

it can't really teach you tactics or smth either - nor can it help you train your aim.

in the end, once you run up to a fence or door, it even says that you can use it when pressing F, without any tutorials but still some of my friends stand in front of it, screaming.

(of course they aren't my friends anymore (jk))

people just expect every game to be the same and perfect at that, just an anecdote: like e.g. another of my friends said "uhh those are the same cars as in gta sa" "the car handling is like gta sa" and ever since then it was just a bad gta sa to him.

another complaint was "the aim feels just like an old game, it doesn't register pixel by pixel" - he was using an atac watchman at range and coudn't hit. "maybe if they fix it right it could be an okay gta" was what he said when uninstalling it for now - can't convince everyone, some are just stubborn.

a tutorial won't help if you don't wanna learn

also i really wouldn't know how they'd be able to improve it effectively. it's good that it doesn't interrupt you and opens popups for every step and limiting your movement etc like some other games do - or display a long video sequence with occasional messages of what to do like gta

i guess it's kinda cool how ow does it, teaching you some things in an extra environment (tho apb doesn't really need it since it's kinda open world and you can roam freely without many dangers)

but even then, there are some things you can just learn by experience - and i think this is also the biggest part of apb.

    Amen to that.

do you guys remember the tutorial before that? that one was dreadful. i think we are a bit better now, mostly because it is not really intrusive etc. it should maybe go a bit more indepth - i wouldnt say apb is in desperate need though, i feel like it's still one of the better ones - that is if new people actually used it. most don't even look at it and then wonder why they can't climb over a fence...
