  1. probably as original as it gets but... uh... seems a bit over the top

I like the idea. Waiting for the napalm launcher.

tbh. I would just enable LTL's fro crims and move on.

    I still voted for you.

i guess this would be the most fair but lame idea. maybe give crims other models or smth - like more makeshift etc. (i guess they could just say "o ye that's stolen stuff from enfs" but ye.)

i guess if they just spiced it up a bit by replacing handcuffs with a good 3 punches of those knuckledusters (similar to mugging) and

the cops patching the other one up or smth to replace the removal of handcuffs...

you obviously dont make computer games for PC.

destiny 2 has proven that they can make it basically impossible (except for the stuff they implemented themselves... (aim assist when using controller (emulation too)))

but that came at the cost of overlays like discord, overwolf etc. i'd take that - but I guess it's not too great on a Steam game.

  3. we have the same threat system running in the background but without announcements + grouped symbols (as colors)

    as far as i know

i guess they didn't want to enforce egomaniacs as much anymore

it did lead to some fun things ingame but probably just led to more toxicity than... well... fun. which was probably what the game was intended for.

f2ps are probably also meant to appeal to more casual players since they are in higher numbers - and having people around who are just acting competetive might not be a too favourable thing to them.

personally, when just wanting to enjoy the game, hidden threats in open conflict were my way to go.

i do like playing csgo, dota and ow rankeds etc but that just doesnt feel right with apb.

clan rankings might be nice, since... i don't know, apb feels more like community kinda thing (...despite /d being as hostile as ever 90% of the time) but i don't see much room for narcism and egoboosting here.

    oh yeah, and the abuse.

  4. They invested to keep our game alive and now we make demands?

I didn't put much thought into voting but... There you go:

I don't mind. I spent my money and had fun with it. It's a bit bitter if I see that it's gonna be cheaper - but I got to enjoy it for a longer time in return. This is like the same thing as buying an AAA game on release vs. when it's $5 on Humbe Bundle. It always happens eventually but I got to enjoy it longer. And that's fine. The company does milk it that way to some degree - but if it's good game... Who cares. Hopefully they will put it toward a new game.

That being said: I'll gladly start spending money when prices are lower. I have like 70? acc bound perm weapons/10? legendaries and basically all that is left are reskins or some special things like some weapon with a silencer.

But: I'd love to have *small* something exclusive - it shouldn't be very special or big/important (probs not a title tho xd), like just an accessory or something. Or like one special reskin of a weapon/skin - doesn't have to be good/super new. (think of something fun like a STAR reskin 0-slot.)

I would totally understand why they wouldn't want to invest time/money into this (for now).

Or like some bonus credits (think like 5% of what one spent)

And I don't like the concept of some of the current loyalty rewards: the reskins are cool and nice and a good idea, but think of the M1922/AMG 3-slot that are unobtainable otherwise - those are not just reskins. Or the friend/ignore list extender. It's not like that costs anyone lots of storage. (Or does it? Correction if needed pls)

    But ye:

Something, like a nod of the head. Like... probably it wouldn't be for APB anymore if noone spend a thing. Would be nice.

    Although not necessary anyway.

However... a refund/refund of the difference? No. That doesn't seem fair. They invested to keep our game alive and now we make demands? (Yes, I am aware I asked for something too... I'm a hypocrite)

    Another video to remember:

    This time from social.

I do really like the looks, especially at 0:32-0:33 but then again - I'd - if we are gonna dream here, I'd love to have APB a bit more dystopian. I mean, this is what this game is about. And there is not a single bit of trash lying around, like criminals run rampant and there's some vigilante cops on the street trying to stop them... and yet again, everywhere is just bright sunshine. The floors are totally clean (vs. think the new Dust 2 - okay, you only see sand on there, but... streets could made dirty by usage of blend textures (probably)

We don't even have any sinkholes anywhere, etc. pp. There is only some trash lying around... when you drive over the newspaper stand or letter boxes (or w/e they are called) (I mean, partially we do. Mostly around the bridge area in Financial, but waterfront seems like 99% smooth + business as usual. asylum is doing that better I guess)

I know, this sounds utterly ridiculous and it's not gonna happen ever in APBs lifetime but I wish we just had a much more fitting map to the setting. I guess it is partly due to how the game is ages old and technology wasn't there yet back then.

Currently it is mostly like GTA, a "normal-ish" city. In GTA there is criminality but not like... to the extent how it is set in APB setting/story/whatever you call it. (I mean, criminality has deep roots there, but I mean it's not set like APB) (Think of

and that intro speech of the mayor of San Paro.

(the one with "yeah there's your opinion and then there's the truth")

Advanced Launcher is still allowed? I know my textures are on lower quality. I want them to be on low quality 🙂

it was an exception under tiggs and LO said they will keep it that way. (in the current state)

    so ye

    I wholeheartedly agree.

Reducing the cooldowns for f2p players would help a great deal to get rid off the p2w stigma around the game.

While I agree, none of those "P2W game lists" etc. have ever mentioned that. They always only mentioned premium is there and that it costs a lot (10 per month is a lot - but it in case of APB it isn'T even necessary! (well apart from cooldowns to some degree))... (And maybe how expensive a perm weapon outside of sales at max is)

And people who complain about p2w in Steam reviews are always referring to weapons (that partly were actually broken 4+ years ago) as well as people having more slots on weapons (which can be used for the same mods you on preset weapons and also feature quite some downsides)

Aaaand that you gotta lease weapons and thus having multiple loadout options (read: 2-3 more primaries and like 1-2 more secondaries (each for the price of like 5 missions)) "is only possible with permanent weapon unless you do some major grind (yes, the 5 missions) or pay real money" - and that, if you pause for 2 weeks you are stuck with the starting weapons again.

(To be fair, weapons with slots and the high rank presets are quite expensive ingame... But you only need like a N-TEC Kasatka v2 in most situations)

Sorry, I don't have proper sources for those ridiculous statements right now but this is what I recall and like 1:0,8 what actual people said.

    But yes:

It would remove like the last bit of P2W from the game - but the stigma most likely will stay unless LO does some massive promo work. And even then...

  8. Those are definitely low setting fences. Try changing qualities again - try Advanced Launcher otherwise.

Your other textures are on lower quality as well.

Is it too different a condor from a normal raptor 45.?

Not tooooo different, no. The mod is quite cool though. However, if I could decide between this version or one with more slots, I'd probably go for more slots. 1 slot really is quite... limited. And IR3 might be good too, which you can't use on it cause it already has a red mod.

Over the past six months, 1000 online players have been a record.

    http://steamcharts.com/app/113400

The peaks were over 1k every month since this game has been in existance, so... no. (and that doesn't include non-steam players)

And right now - over the past 30 days APB regained the average we had "exactly" 6 months ago - but yes, it is a peak, I guess.

  12. Yes, there is no button available for Steam payments usually, unless you are using the ingame Steam browser. This has almost always been the case.

But you can always access https://checkout.gamersfirst.com/credits/amounts/Steam/DE - BUT you can only actually pay with Steam if your Steam and your G1 account are linked.

You can do that in the normal browser too, just be logged into Steam and Gamersfirst (- with the linked accounts!) and use the URL I put above. You might wanna change your countrycode if it doesn't do so automatically though. (You do need to provide one though.)

This also works when you are in any other game that uses Steam, so you'd only need to log into G1 (with the linked account).

  13. I think the last thread about GMs was closed for a sound reason, discussion was getting out of hand - well anyway, Let's not derail this too much

    Nice person? 10/10 gogol

High postcount? LilyV3 for GM? uhh...

Nah, I guess Asger is a bit of a quirky person etc but he seems nice and reasonable enough.

I mostly agree with who you listed though.

While Esther might not be the least unconfrontional person I ever saw in the forums, they definitely are very ambitious and seem to want the best for the game. Just throwing them in here.

The question is though: Would those people even want that? Idk which ties etc you have when becoming a GM. I think we shouldn't go ahead and nominate people for GM (well I just did that... whoops) - volunteering should come from themselves and not because others said they'd be fit.

Sure, it might be a cool move if LO could step forward and ask people but I guess that'd make the GM position feel even more entitled, since you were DESIGNATED by them.

But sure, it's kinda good to nominate/vouch for people so LO has some kind of assistance when selecting the people who applied...

I guess they also have their own criteria. Another criterion can't hurt though I suppose.

    Anyway. Yeah.

    I have just 6 members

    I only have one. :^)

Please read what I wrote before: I added the others to those 6 (and put a link to my custom tracker in, with those added, along with the pictures on how to add them.)

Or do you mean on the stafflist? That would be weird, since there are 5 "admins" and the rest of them are mods.

To be fair, for some reason Majik isn't on there

  15. There is a staff list with them:

    https://forums.gamersfirst.com/staff/

And there are no mods on the admintracker becasue it is... well, an admin tracker, not a mod/staff one.

That's just the usual thing companies have.

Normally people who use an admin tracker, do so to get news etc. and not to look at all the threads the mods closed - I suppose.

Unless they want to just put doubt in all of their decisions... I guess it's good to not let them roam freely (aka "control" them) - which probably shouldn't be the job of the community to begin with. Whatever. Anyway! There you go:

Idk if you can see this, but I created this stream for myself (well not for myself but just cause you asked)

It's not hard to add members to an existing stream and save it then.

So I make an account and buy the stuff and NEW support gives out what seems to be an automated cookie cutter response to everyone asking about bans saying that if I was banned my the anticheat that I'd be unbanned by the time the new system rolls around.

I was NOT banned by that therefore this is different. I was told one thing and so I did it now I'm essentially overlooked AFTER I've already spent my money for this reason.

Isn't this against the law to do that kinda stuff?

First of all - you don't own the account, so I guess it is upon their jurisdiction about what to do with it. I guess they could even ask you to pay the money and immediately reban you. (Though they should've unbanned you before atleast.)

(And it definitely wouldn't add to their credibility so it is not in their interest to do so. Just pointing it out)

    Second thing:

Can't directly quote locked threads so:

    Quote

This means that it is going to be a little bit of time before we get to the large number of support tickets that we have related to banned accounts. Once we have patched out Battleye and done the automatic unbanning we will be able to deal with the more specific cases. This game has a large player base and we will be doing our best to help each and every one of you.

I guess you are lucky since it was solved before, just pointing it out.

I guess the response should cover that bit too.

  17. Advanced Launcher modifies game files - that was the issue.

Any credible macro/mouse/keyboard software etc doesn't.

It doesn't hook into the game either etc.

To detect software macros it would also need to scan all your running processes. Not very nice. Even then, they couldn't really detect what those softwares are used for. When I had a shit keyboard, I just used AHK to map music controls to key combos. Apparently PB banned for just having that very software active - I never got but who knows. Also, Logitechs Software unifies Keyboard/Mouse/Headset stuff, so just banning based on having that active? Please.

This would only lead to false positive controversies like e.g. Destiny 2 vs Discord and enable people to make claims about their bans being flawed (they will do anyway tho)

And then there are macros that get stored on the mouse - e.g. A4Tech does that, BattleEye couldn't detect that.

I don't think macros+macrousers are nice etc but don't overdo it.

Closets who just want a small edge are definitely an issue. But we can talk about that, once we got rid of the blatants rerolls who definitely are a more urgent one.

when's this sexy big patch being released?

i don't think an ETA was among that - I won't read that again rn. A short quick search yielded no results.

some officials also use discord occassionally but a) you shouldn't bother them (too much) and b) i wholeheartedly doubt they will give out their plans unofficially

also a roadmap should be coming this week? i think. keep a look out. (no source to link rn sry)
