Hello everybody, today we're releasing our in-house Gamersfirst Anti-Cheat, we have spent the last few months pouring all available resources into the project and are excited to finally release it to the public. However, this Tech is extremely advanced and is bound to have some issues so we're going to keep a list of all known issues related to GFAC in this thread! Additionally, if you encounter an issue related to GFAC we would like you to post about it in this thread and try to keep unnecessary chatter to a minimum as this is not a feedback thread. Known Issues: Users get met with GFAC Communication Error C when GFAC is not installed on their main drive. (Issue identified - Fix being worked on) Some users crash when selecting their EU characters. (Investigating - For now you can select an NA character first after which you should be able to log into your EU character) The game does not start on Processors that do not Support AVX2 (Investigating) Some users encounter the following errors when loading GFAC: 2427 - 4003 - 4004 (Investigating) In your report please include the following: A screenshot or video of the error/issue you're encountering. Details on when the error/issue occurs. Date and Time of the issue. Are you using any sorts of file edits? (Configs) Your relevant Computer Specifications such as: Processor. Graphics Card. RAM. What kind of drive APB is installed on. (NVME/SSD/HDD) Operating System. Anti-Virus software. We may also reach out privately to ask for more details but the above should help us track down issues so we can fix them as soon as possible! Thank you for your cooperation.

Hello everybody, Our standard weekly maintenance will be held this Wednesday (07/30) starting at 9 AM UTC. During this maintenance we're doing rather large backend changes - To allow our Network Engineers to perform their tasks without extra pressure we are not going to be announcing an estimated time window in which we expect the servers to come back online, instead we will be trying to provide updates as we get closer to unlocking the server. We have posted deadlines before and that clearly didn't work out for us. We thought GFAC was ready until it unraveled in front of us as we moved into the testing stages. The Team has been working on GFAC non-stop since the delays and we're making progress at a great pace but we are not going to post any more deadlines regarding GFAC. Discord allows us to chat with players and inform them of short-term progress which is something that isn't really suited for the Forums. We use the forums for significant announcements, not small talk and sneak peeks into how development on X or Y are going. If you want to stay up to date on the important things that are going on in APB then the Forums will do that, if you'd like to see snippits of extra info that don't matter to most players then you may find one of our developers such as Frosi or even Matt talk about it on the Discord. As mentioned above, we don't have an ETA either, we planned to launch the Anti-Cheat during this weeks maintenance but ran into a last minute quality issue that caused us to delay it - If we had announced that it is releasing this Wednesday and then had to delay it again the Community would have been rightfully upset. Development on APB or major new Systems like an in-house Anti-Cheat is extremely unpredictable so we are not posting deadlines for that very reason. Having had to delay GFAC the first time was a massive lesson for everyone on the Team and we learned from that, while we don't intend to keep players in the dark we think it is a better approach to announce something will release when we have greenlit the Release build internally. -

Hello APB: Reloaded Community We've got an important update regarding our ongoing efforts to improve APB Reloaded, especially as we approach the 15-Year Anniversary. First, we want to reiterate our commitment to combating cheating. As part of the upcoming 15-Year Anniversary patch, we are on track to implement significant upgrades to APB's existing in-game protections. This is a major step to make it much more difficult for cheaters and hackers to disrupt your experience, and these enhancements will be part of the anniversary patch release. Regarding GFAC, our new, dedicated anti-cheat solution: we are continuing to pour resources into its development. When transitioning from our internal environment to our Testing environment we have encountered a couple of major blockers which delayed testing. We have since resolved those blockers and are making solid progress acting on the issues encountered by our Player Testing team. To honour our commitment to releasing a truly robust and effective anti-cheat, we've decided to further delay the release of GFAC itself. This decision allows our team the necessary time to refine it, address every identified issue, and ensure it meets our incredibly high standards before it's deployed. We believe this approach provides the best outcome: you'll receive crucial strengthened in-game security with the 15-Year Anniversary patch, while GFAC gets the dedicated development time it needs to be the comprehensive, powerful tool we all expect. We know the fight against cheating is paramount, and we're tackling it on multiple fronts. We genuinely appreciate your understanding as we strategically roll out these improvements. Thank you for being a part of APB Reloaded and helping shape its legacy over the past 15 years. Log in, check out the event, and don’t miss your chance for exclusive rewards! Get ready to celebrate 15 Years of APB with the new 15 Year Anniversary Event role awarding new, exclusive titles such as "Caked Up" as well as 1950 Joker Tickets completed by finishing Missions on Mission Districts or Fightclub! Additionally log in between now and the 13th of August to earn the "Ladder Climber" Title as a login reward! Gamersfirst Anti-Cheat (GFAC) We're excited to announce that we will be releasing the very first version of our In-house Anti-Cheat in this update. Building this Anti-Cheat from scratch was a major task and we're excited to finally get it out there so it can start to learn and mature and be as effective as combating cheaters as possible. We do not expect this new Tech to be flawless or completely solve the cheating issue from the get-go, it will take some time to mature but we're making a commitment to keep working on and improving the Anti-Cheat until we're satisfied with the results. If you're encountering any technical issues with the new Anti-Cheat please let us know. Leaderboards PvP Games are inherently competitive so we want to lean a bit more into the aspect of who comes out on top, to do so we're introducing our first version of Leaderboards. We're starting out rather small so we can experiment what sticks and what doesn't but overall the system is designed to be for everyone with rewards that anyone can collect by playing the game as well as rewards given to the Top Percentile within the Leaderboard similar to how Fightclubs work. We're excited to expand on this system based on feedback and want to shape it into something that really scratches that itch for those wanting to show off in a more competitive way. Premium Premium has been revamped with new pricing, rewards and benefits and you can read all about it in our Premium revamp blogpost! Game Balance Teleporting into cars In this update we're removing the ability to instantly teleport into vehicles when a player is close enough to the door but is unable to play the animation of opening said door. This mechanic has become an extremely popular tool especially at the top end of play but has created an unhealthy way to play the game leading to a meta that is unsustainable in the long run. Because of this we're removing the ability to instantly teleport into cars if certain conditions are met, instead, players will now walk up to the door and if they can access the door but not play the animation it will show an objective circle playing for 1.7 seconds after which they will be teleported into the car. OBIR Effective Range increased from 45 meters to 50 meters. Dev note: The recent nerfs to the OBIR have been successful at making the gun less frustrating to play against but have overshot at keeping it a viable option compared to guns like the Oblivion. To help with this we're partially reverting the range nerf it received during the New Horizon update. OCA-SD The OCA-SD weapon archetype has been redudant for many years primarily due to being unable to use Cooling Jacket which is the go-to mod for SMG Weapons. To help with this we have decided to retire to OCA-SD Weapon Archetype and having all weapons that previously used the OCA-SD Archetype use the OCA 'Whisper' archetype instead. OCA 'Whisper' Effective Range reduced from 50 meters to 30 meters. Minimum Damage range increased from 5 meters to 20 meters. Dev note: The OCA 'Whisper' had significantly more range than the other OCA variants as a means to double down on its original design intend of being a longer-ranged version of the OCA thanks to its added Accuracy benefit when crouching. The OCA 'Whisper' has seen a couple of changes over the past years so this added range is no longer required to allow the gun to be relevant, thus we're lowering its range to that of the regular OCA meaning its damage starts to drop off at 30 meters gradually until hitting the lowest damage at 50 meters. Valzipram Tablets Effectiveness reduced from 100% to 75%. Dev note: Valzipram is the clear winner when it comes to the overall strength of Blue Character mods so we're applying a slight nerf to the overall effectiveness of the mod. This will make it so cars will now need a minimum speed of 15.75cm/s rather than 18cm/s to kill a player. Explosives Vehicle Mod The Radius increase in which the exploding vehicle does its full damage has been decreased from 15/30/45% to 5/10/20%. Dev note: This change aims to combat the effectiveness of parking cars next to players, getting out and not engaging with the player but rather running away hoping Remote Detonator kills the person. This method of getting kills feels extremely unfun to play against and can often be frustrating so we're reducing the increase the Explosive mod provides to the radius in which a car can deal its full damage with the hopes that it should now be possible to get out of the instant-kill radius of the vehicle before it blows up more reliably which will result in more interactive combat between the two players. Miscellaneous Fixed an issue related to weapon accuracy. Increased the spawn capacity for many car spawners in Financial. The ATAC 'Watchman' now has two open slots rather than coming preset with Hunting Sight 3 and Cooling Jacket 3. Mission Task Marker Opacity now decreases by 80% when in Marksmanship mode. Concussion Grenades now unlock at Level 2 of the Grenadier role. Added new LaRocha & Zombie themed Graffitis in specific spots on Financial - Can you find them?
