  1. Apparently i am one of the few persons who does in fact enjoy the fire rate nerf on IR, not just in theory but in game as well. No need to modify this any further imho.
Shotguns are absolutely bonkers right now though, not sure if such a harsh range setting is the best thing to do i'd rather see the actual spread simulated realistically - massive range reduction could be beneficial though in making shotguns viable only for the closest encounters.

Well, the post I was replying too, I thought was talking about creating 64 bit versions of the game.

    and you're welcome 🙂
Currently the only form of x64 support APB has is splitting into multiple threads (thus using multiple cores each for their own task). That's not accessing the true bandwidth and performance of a genuine x64 application though.

I don't know if there's a correlation between objectives in missions offered by high tier contacts and the time needed to complete said objectives, but it wouldn't surprise me.

Wouldn't make much sense when you consider that a rank 30 teammate in your team would face the exact same difficulty completing the objective. Some just seem to take a lot longer than regular, by design.

  4. 1. N-Tec is just N-Tec, it can be met long range with HVR, Obir, Obeya, even some LMGs - or close range with OCA, Shotgun, PMG and mostly any LMG as long as you tap-fire.

As for my final statement here, this game is by far pay2win, as the weapons you buy are more or less the worst weapons i ever tried and played with, will never donate again, unless for new car looks.

    2. APB is neither P2W nor the opposite. If you fell for the P2W cries before then obviously you are going to be underwhelmed by the performance of Armas weapons - but they are in most cases reskins or akin to other in-game weapons with very few exceptions. The exceptions however usually require a certain style of playing in order to unlock their potential. The Troublemaker for example is a merciless weapon in the right hands, but if used by an unskilled person it is pretty easy to defeat with any ingame weapon provided they are played correctly. (or not so correctly with the HVR xD)

I know you're looking for answers from the devs themselves, but I'd just like to say that after the engine upgrade, it's supposedly going to properly utilize your system's hardware.  If you have more than a dual core processor, it'll currently only use two cores, but after the engine upgrade it should be able to use more of them to distribute the load a bit more, plus they said that there are a lot of optimizations that are only possible through the upgrade.

    x64 confirmed!

  6. How to get new players: Put everyone who is bronze and < Rank 60 (or some) in green district if they join from the default district select screen.

Bring more awareness to the advanced district select screen.
(In other words, flood the currently unused green districts with bambis)

As an extra bit of spice, remove players who reach silver from the district if their total account playtime is > 120 hours. Add a nice on-screen notification that within 5 minutes they will be removed from the district, and that they are welcome to return there if they get back to bronze threat, using the advanced district selection menu.

  7. 1. Altering the game files to have a permanent crosshair is bannable.
    2. Using 3rd party programs that give you a crosshair is bannable. (Overwolf users actually got banned for this on other games a while back and a crosshair plugin for Overwolf was then removed from the Store for that exact reason.)

The game was not intended or designed to have a persistent crosshair, and G1 GMs were pretty clear about that. No idea how LO sees it, but ... yeah.

Do custom crosshairs give you superpowers or something?

I mean, if your aim is bad, I doubt the crosshair will fix it, just saying.

Custom crosshairs are perfect for jump-shooting HS3 HVRs ;)

  8. Since i spam Spotter mod i would absolutely know it is there, it is however mostly useless on Citadel when you play with randoms since you will hardly nail a proper moment to use it. Being a pure CQC mod for sub and shotty users it can give a vital advantage when trying to empty buildings and rooms - if only you get that perfect moment when your teammates are all in a position suited for breach, undiscovered, and awaiting a signal (yep, never happens).
It makes slightly more sense in a premade group or a team of players who use voice - and more in a group with TS or similar.
Maybe it does indeed need a buff like the one BXNNXD suggested, could make it a lot more interesting to use.
