A Petition For Stronger Anti Hack Methods
Zian replied to Darkzero3802's topic in General Discussion Archive
It's not a cry of elitism, when you display that you're an elitist by throwing shade at players who'd like to get better. The blatant cheaters in this game prevent that, and it's something that shouldn't have to be out right pointed out. Especially to a "Top Tier" player. The fact that even your efforts are ignored, should make you a little more aggravated. Or willing to provide constructive feedback, without the sarcasm belittling the OP with misinformation peppered through your post. The fact that you haven't played a lot, means that you're missing out on the overall current status of how things have been within the game. Your feedback is essentially just from the forums point of view only. False, if I saw one I wouldn't be bothered. But I've seen quite a few so far that have gone days without being taken from the server. Again you're creating lies. I'm starting to think you have unchecked sociopathic tendencies. -
A Petition For Stronger Anti Hack Methods

There's also hardly any players on Jericho. So say six cheaters to be on a server with a population of seventy, means there's almost one hacker per ten legitimate players. That's enough to cause a disturbance in game balance overall. Especially if some are blatant. -

Do you always produce such propaganda? Everyone can agree that blatant cheating is a problem. But it seems like there's a strong unified front towards cheaters being removed from this game. No one said "Punish good players" and to call a blatant cheater a "Just another good player" is an attempt to pull the wool over the eyes of people who are willing to call out the BS, or simply want to stand up to the fact that there is nothing being done. -
But I am paying for the option to play for every moment. If that is being compromised, I have been cheated from services paid for to the company that is supposed to make sure my ability to do so remains an option to me. And not just myself but all players. My money went into this product. Money that I have earned, and the money that many other players have earned. I am fortunate enough to do as I please. But some players aren't, for some, that $10.00 could've gone somewhere that wouldn't be compromised by lax moderation over a product that was promised to be fixed a year and seven months ago.; Perhaps you like products of poor quality. But no one is being held accountable, and it's nauseating at the mass of sheep who refuse to do so out of fear.

A Petition For Stronger Anti Hack Methods

Have you seriously not been paying attention to the direction of where this game is going? Let alone the blatant cheaters that are running around the past week or so. Jericho is an unplayable mess right now, and all you can do is use the "git gud bro" argument. If they were trying to make this game better, then they need to try harder. That's why a call for a petition exists in the first place. -
let's FINALLY fix the reroll problem
Zian replied to toodamnmuch's topic in General Discussion Archive
If you're going by just how he composed the post alone, then you're taking him too literal in his composition of the post. Doing so opens the door for dismissing him, diminishing the validity of his frustrations, and gives permission for trolls to ruin his day. It was pretty easy to see that he didn't mean legitimate R195 players. I fixed your post. -
A reminder that a customer has to purchase more than a quarters worth of G1C before acquiring any premium time to begin with. To purchase one months worth you have to spend $10.00 USD. Your immaturity is boundless, if you're laughing at this.

He's saying if the person is r195 and is blatantly cheating, then they should be instantly banned. -

In-game name Dianelle Rank 255. You have my name. -
That's a significant loss. If I were in your shoes, I would've sought out some sort of compensation. I literally decided before these last few days that I wouldn't play the game for a year, so that the new owners Little Orbit and MattScott would have time to fix the issues in the game. If I wanted to truly be hostile, I would opt for asking for that years worth of time back. But I felt it reasonable to only ask for these last few days to be compensated. As MattScott told us that while we were under a DDOS attack, that this "solution" was functioning and that it was more likely latency in this thread. Then now on another thread, he admits to the game being under DDOS attack over the holiday weekend. And now in another thread, he has openly told the community that an issue dating back to January 2018 has flooded support to the point, where now the response time is finally down to 3 weeks. This is regarding the massive password reset GamersFirst did, which then in turn caused many players to lose access to their account. Slowly issues are adding up both from the past and present, many players are losing out on premium time on accounts that they can't access also. There should be more outrage. But I'm willing to settle for what I can negotiate for. If that's a few days for a tiny bit of the massive amount of trouble, so be it. If you don't get that premium back, I'm sorry about your loss of game time.
-
What about lost premium time?

It's fairly easy to spot a hacker by the blatant actions of some. And it has been the actions of blatant hackers these past few days, that has caused a stir. Many of them aren't even trying to hide it at this point, because they are able to go unchecked. The GM being in district to issue manual bans, would be a temporary solution until the engine upgrade was finished. Yours would be a more permanent solution that should be included into the engine upgrade, that would allow us to have distance from these unsavory types. Merged. Hey if I had the opportunity, I would willingly prove I have the ethical ability and capacity to do the job as best to my ability as possible. Though with how Little Orbit conducts itself, I wouldn't want to apply for any position within their company. No one likes the truth, in any form you present it. That's something I learned a long time ago on these forums. So really it's best just to stick to your guns, because everyone here is a stranger. The anonymity is what trolls live off of, because they're afraid to actually have any shred of truth exposed. It keeps their only form of popularity thriving. So really I wouldn't take it to a personal level that they'd rather despise you. My first post was harsh criticism, and some of my other ones have been as well. They weren't liked except by a few, and that means there's a huge part of the community that disagrees with the idea that this needs to be addressed. Some of the people who applied though, might not have played the game in years, and others might have applied by other means. But your point of the low population in game literally means we don't need many GMs to be active at a time, just enough to make a noticeable difference in balancing things out to some semblance of fair game play again.
-
That's strange to me since I've never or anyone in my clan for that matter, been accidentally banned by any of the anti-cheats while playing this game.
-
You're welcome. At this point we're figuratively being told to get bent by Little Orbit from their lack of ambition to take any measures necessary to combat this problem.
-
Hi, It's very frustrating when people cheat in this game. And this thread, despite the negativity it has received, is an open letter essentially to Little Orbit. What I would like to do is organize those legitimate players who are frustrated into a single thread, to reflect the seriousness of the problem going on with APB reloaded and the neglect Little Orbit has been showing as of lately. It's not right how they're not taking responsibility for their part in this problem. We as consumers are losing premium time and money, while people who cheat are rewarded for their poor behavior. So please join my thread and keep it going. Also if you could private message me the names of the cheaters, I would like to add them to my private list that I have been composing of cheaters I have encountered in this game. Thanks, Z
-
That is a unfortunate thing. But they don't need to respond to questions or requests to remove cheaters from the game either. So that's kinda on them if they get wrapped up in that sort of thing.
-
I'll break it down. I am sick of cheaters, and voiced that again this game needs more effective moderation. Trolls chimed in. So far 1 out of 2 in the opposition is remaining in a mild manner, and respectful. The other guy is just vomiting out as much trash as possible. To the point where he's now in conversation with himself and his extremely long context twisting posts.
-
But you are throwing a vote in, opposing a idea that could promote solutions if we gave Little Orbit the pressure to do so. They aren't useless, if they were they wouldn't be used. It's essentially a poll that can determine the overall viewpoint of the community without the need for toxic behavior. You're right, that isn't constructive. That's just as constructive as saying "Add it to the pile" which one person did. Then after brief vulgarity from that person, I ended up respectfully putting them on ignore, and reporting that user. The fact that there is still belief that there is a protected cheat clan, means Little Orbit haven't done anything effective yet to disprove that idea. Also if there were that many people aggressively attacking Little Orbit to the point of the forums no longer functioning. There had to be some validity in the claim, which should have prompted Little Orbit to make some sort of open investigation. Disproving the masses would've been a good way to at the very least save that part of their reputation in the moment.
-
Thank you for joining in. Replying to the same people was becoming tedious.
-
Which in turn reflects a divided front towards creating pressure for solutions. In turn again adding as a benefit for anyone who is cheating in the game. Thus, meaning you're opposing solutions. Actions = Consequences. You already admitted to being short sighted in that respect. If you didn't oppose solutions, you wouldn't have said anything at all except simply hit the dislike button. A primary feature on these forums, that I actually admire for being implemented in the first place. Currently keeping any Game Moderator neutered is a foolish idea. Little Orbit has different employees, and they should at least be given the opportunity to test this solution out. If they end up corrupt, screen shots and video will prove that it was a terrible idea. But any idea at this point being implemented beyond what is happening now, is a good idea. At any point and time that decision can be reversed and the ban abilities can be taken away again by MattScott. I'm glad we can start to agree on something. Merged. I'm actually in a very happy relationship, so I was never interested to begin with. You're too immature for my taste, lack the ability to comprehend much, and insert yourself in front of others like a bratty child. At best you're worth going out and making sure you had a glass of water, while I ate dinner. Seeing as you're so broke that you can't afford your cell phone, I also wouldn't want you to be dehydrated from being so thirsty for my attention.
-
You create a list about a dozen things, but then oppose solutions to a problem that Little Orbit inherited once they purchased this game. A problem that in and of itself at this point needs to be addressed prior to the engine upgrade, or the engine upgrade itself will simply be worthless. In what way would GM presence go sour? Especially since in the past GMs of this video game have personally entered districts, without the need for a special event. Answered questions that they felt was worth their time, and even personally banned players for misconduct. Not giving them money is a good start on having an actual stance, and keeping honest integrity to yourself. Merged. Replies* And by less interesting, I mean to anyone else on these forums. Unless you forgot about people who would've said TLDR by now to how you compose your posts. If I didn't like people thinking for themselves, I would've been one to say so. Again something you're projecting onto me. Because I have stuck with my own thoughts regarding the matter, and remain unswayed by your immaturity. If anything I am actually trying to encourage independent thought from the "ALL HAIL LITTLE ORBIT" authoritarianism you're displaying. You didn't have to give me any definitions, you willingly chose to search dictionary websites to waste your own time. And with how you're displaying key factors of your personality via post, i'd actually be disgusted to know you as a person. i'd probably put you in my phone as a specific nickname so i'd know to ignore your calls.
-
If I was dodging replies, I wouldn't have responded at all. No matter how obvious you're crude displays of attempting to create an intelligent post may seem. And no matter how much you add to each post, really you're just creating less interest in how you're just spilling out a pile of word vomit to stroke your vanity. Repeating that I am supposedly misinformed with each snippet of context, also doesn't make you anymore correct. Adding phrases in capital letters, only shows that you should probably take a break and let adults have a conversation. You're literally pulling from replies that are directed to other people, to act as though they were directed towards you. Which is the most conceited and desperate thing a person could do in order to remain relevant enough to add any input into the conversation. At least with Glacier he keeps things more mildly mature, and concise.
-
But yet they aren't doing much to warrant the amount of praise that you're giving them. It's a bit redundant how that's been pointed out multiple times in my posts. And if you've spent more money than I on APB you should be holding yourself to a higher standard than that of a fool whom continues to be under the impression that things are okay. You're literally saying "Darn you let me down again, but that's okay cause you gave me a incremental improvement that's a bit too late". If this game was given the attention that I am arguing for, there would be an increasing player base. Communication wouldn't be kept to a minimum, and there would be more activity safeguarding this games integrity against cheaters. As it stands, they have not increased any measure to actually try new ideas. They're throwing Anti-cheats that are obviously not working at a problem that requires the attention of a human being. That in itself is accurate feedback. End of story. If they deserved my praise or any intelligent individuals for that matter, they'd be doing a better job. Right now they simply have a following of sheep to defend them with blind faith. And even then you say you're for improvements, but you take no hard stance to those words. I am not apologetic for my assertiveness when it comes to my money, or for speaking up regarding the same frustration other players share. So ultimately we're just going to agree disagree on a continuous basis for the length of this entire thread. Waffling over your ambivalence with Little Orbit is only making you look more like a milksop.
-
I said and repeatedly stated your current state of views creates a obstacle of which to apply pressure on Little Orbit to actually act and satisfy its customer base. Especially while pursuing this line of opposition to handling a very present problem to the game, which again is something that in turn indirectly benefits the less than savory population of the player base. Who said I was casting them into the void, I wasn't calling for the end of the company. But for them to act on promises that they made, which was to be a different entity to that of Gamersfirst. The fact that someone paid for something, versus someone simply enjoying the free trial version is actually a strong indicator that there is a difference in what we are experiencing as a product. I never said that you said that it was impossible. I said in that in a overall general context. You took that upon yourself to say that I said that you said such things. If I said "You saying otherwise is a fallacy", then i'd be addressing any direct statement you may have made... So to that, this is really just a tiring game on your end of back and forth. If you want to stick to your opposing view and praise Little Orbit for the less than stellar job, you should actually commit to it. Or commit to the fact that you even said that there are a number of things they could fix. Flopping does nothing, except add ineffectual stress to people who actually want to see things change.

If it's impossible for companies to perfect their ability to serve customers properly, then why are their major retailers across the world? Because they continue to refine their abilities to better provide a service that is adequate to keep them in business. Little Orbit is lacking in that obviously. Surprisingly you'd be shocked at how many words are misused, yet still convey the same effectiveness. In the real world, mistakes occur in the use of the English language all the time. But besides that, it doesn't change how you're acting. What parts of APB are the best option compared to other games? The fact that it's free on steam? Economically that makes sense for someone who is in dire straits. If that's the case for you, I suppose settling for something flawed would be the best course of action. But I put money into this game. Over a thousand dollars in fact, I wasted a years worth of premium time giving Little Orbit space to sort things out after they inherited the mess Gamersfirst created. My entire clan has essentially abandoned this game, and my friends have moved onto other games due to the neglect that's been brought upon by Little Orbit. So.. I guess that's the difference between us if my assumption is correct. My black and white viewpoint stems from having the ability to put funds elsewhere, while a game that I put money into dies off because simple actions cannot be done to prevent such things from happening. Any one GM can easily rotate their presence among the servers, with how low the populations are. That GM can make note of suspicious players, and then take appropriate action needed to keep cheaters at bay. Saying otherwise is a fallacy, and denying the possibility enables the problem to worsen over time. Lastly, you're acting like the bumbling moron you claim to loathe. Except in a highly hypocritical capacity.
