  1. That's not very constructive, as there are legitimate reasons why people can't perform better, such as having a underwhelming computer and be playing at low framerates. Telling these people that they don't belong is counterproductive for the game as a whole. Dethreating people are scaring away what could otherwise be paying customers, removing revenue that could be used to improve the game. Not to mention that a multiplayer game stands or falls with its player base.
  2. I'd like to see more faction oriented clothing, and this might be a step toward that. Though this need to be considered from a lore standpoint. Could you provide more images of the accessories you mentioned? Might be possible to incorporate non-branded versions of these items.
  3. I don't agree with the original post suggestions in regards of threat levels or MMR, but leagues used to available in the past for the game, which could give things as display tokens for statues and billboards, but also rewards such as vehicles. Gamersfirst removed it together with the detailed threat levels, in an attempt to make players less competitive, but this made no difference on how players played the missions. Instead it removed the incentive for players to maintain their threat levels and play consistently well, and turned clans into nothing more than glorified friends lists. As you can probably guess, this later made it easier for players to decide to dethreat as they had nothing to lose, with no work needed to get back to "highest" threat level or caring about their rankings in the leaderboards. If these things would get reimplemented again, they'd of course need to be balanced to the current version of APB, but display tokens and joker tickets seems like appropriate league rewards.
  4. I don't think the graphics have changed since 2014 though. Here's a comparison mockup that Kogey made way back, which is pretty accurate: And another RTW screenshot to illustrate it: The topic that discussed the changes have since been removed, but you can read MonteCristo's comments in it here: http://apbdb.com/track/293961/ You would never be able to spam the thread! Thanks for taking the time to post and provide your insight
  5. The main reason why the lights aren't as bright, were because MonteCristo went through and lowered all the emissive textures for them. If that's a change we'd like to see in the future is mainly subjective, but it would make sense to increase them for certain materials.
  6. (Originally posted the 12th of January, 2014) Upper image is from RTW, while the lower one is taken from G1 today. Here's a bonus of the playerbase from Patriot, back in 2011:
  7. Could have separate binds for hold or toggle for both crouch and sprinting.
  8. Would be nice to do some performance tests and see how much this actually affects performance.
  9. Area hold is a very old game mode (and is even part of some final stages of the APB missions), and I don't think it would be as popular anymore. I don't think it's a good idea to segregate the community further by adding additional districts for new game modes, at this point in time. However, maybe using the snowball fights as a reference isn't such a bad idea, where an area would spawn randomly in a normal district, and whoever entered it would be able to participate in faction vs faction combat to decide control over that area. A problem with this could be that it could disrupt normal missions, and even matchmaking if it would go on for too long (more than 5 minutes).
  10. Those were the two most used features for me in the old forum, so I'd like to see something similar back aswell
