[GUIDE] Marketplace - Avoid Getting Scammed.

Hello!

We've noticed an unfortunate increase in the number of people being scammed on the Marketplace, so today I'd like to take a few moments to go over some techniques that you can use to ensure you're getting what you want from the Marketplace.

The first thing you can do to stay safe is preview the item you're thinking of buying using the Preview button in the top right of the screen. It's a little spy-glass looking thing:

This gives you a preview of anything that you're thinking of buying. If it's a weapon, vehicle or item of clothing you'll see a preview of the object in 3D. So, using the Sitting Duck as an example, you'll see this:

If it's a song or a theme you'll hear a preview of the song or theme. If it's a symbol you'll see a 2D preview of the symbol in the top of the screen without having to click the Spy-glass object.

If you're buying a something that isn't editable (like preset clothing or vehicles) then you can check the creator of the object. You can also check the modifications – This can be very good if you're buying a Mystery Box weapon and want to make sure you're not getting scammed.

You can also look at the buyer's other listings on the marketplace and try to find other people that have bought from them in the past. If you can get some reviews of how they've traded in the past then you can hopefully build a better picture of what sort of trade you can expect.

The absolute final thing to remember is this: If it seems too good to be true then it probably is.

Hopefully, with all of these things in mind you should find it easier to get a fair deal out of the Marketplace.

Getting scammed from marketplace.. I would not call this scam but a big lack of thinking and judgement.

Prices vary constantly, sometimes as rapidly as day to day.
