(Forum) BBcode edit mode (and more)

Just realized something that was also missing and kind of useful.
It was the BBcode mode, which turns the richtext format into the old forum BBcode for advanced users to edit.

And the manual turn text into "plain un-formatted text"  button.

I guess the title thing wasn't intended to begin with...

 

I'd like to have a non-wysiwyg editor too though, although it doesn't have to be BBCode specifically, just saying. Bumps weren't condoned in the old forums either...

 

(Just a headsup, no offense. Count it as another bump xd)

i mean, that is in the context of being spam, you can argue also that it was needed.

Specially when quoting someone or something, it is a real hassle to deal with quotes on the current richtext format.

Ye, I totally agree with you, just saying.

 

You can't even click below a quote to continue writing if you delete a bit too much underneath by just holding backspace (atleast on mobile)

 

Rather troublesome.

Not just that, imagine if you want to edit a post and include a quote
it is just a pain

Isn't that just the same as before? Click "Quote", go down to the box, Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C, "Edit", Ctrl+V?

Works for me. Was there an easier way in the old forums xd (ye you could make custom quotes etc but you can do the same here in the editor - except name + timestamp)

you could drag it

 

But more or less, when managing more than a single quote, specially when it is something specific, works best in BBcode mode.

It seems these forums (new IpBoards) don't actually have this option... (I really hope they change this in the near future)
