    Hello everyone!

     

    A new patch is going up onto the Live servers for PC. This patch will be happening on Wednesday 12/12/2018. Maintenance will start at 8 AM UTC (one hour earlier than normal) and will last for 6 hours.

     

    This patch will be introducing two new features. You will now be able to secure your account through Two Factor Authentication (2FA) and we have reintroduced the /report feature. To access the new window type /report in the chat and it will display. For more information related to these new features, please check out our post here.

     

    Patch Notes:

    • Added in support for 2FA
    • Updated the /report command to work differently than before

     

    Known Issues:

    • Choosing the cheating category will not correctly update the report button. The workaround for this issue is choosing the cheating category before the player name is entered. If the category is chosen first, then the player name is entered, it will work correctly.
    • Using /report (name) will not correctly update the report button. Simply delete the last letter/number of the character's name once in the report form and re-enter it to correctly refresh the button.

    Hello everyone,

    Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

     

    New to this version is an additional layer of security to better protect you and your account. Two forms of identifying information will ensure you are positively authenticated and protected from malicious actors. Using an additional (yet optional) means to verify your identity will ensure you have total control over your account.

     

    TO USE: To take advantage of this feature, simply log-in to your account on the Gamers First site (https://www.gamersfirst.com/account/), from the main account page, activate TWO-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION and follow the required steps to secure your account. You will need to use an authentication tool like Google Authenticator App to complete the set-up.

    Reporting

    We take the wellbeing of our community seriously so we are introducing a new means to flag those that abuse the service or fellow players. With the new Reporting feature, simply type /Report in the in-game command line to flag a player or scenario that needs our attention.

     

    TO USE: There are two easy ways to initiate the feature: 1) Select Report Player from the main menu or 2) type /Report or /Report (Player Name) in the command line to bring up the Reporting dialog pop-up and fill in additional info on the user or incident.

    SLAY BELLS (PC only):

     

    A cold front is descending on San Paro. Blocks are freezing over. Capture, control and defend your turf while watching other teams get iced out. In this all new event, simply capture a checkpoint and hold it until the round is over. Stay alive and survive in this exciting challenge.


    And what about weapons, you ask? Nothing but the best hardware for a hardcore snowball fight! The HoHoHoPGLS has been in a box in the basement itching to unleash havoc. 

    Grab one, load it up with snowballs and get ready to ice some people.

    HOLIDAY 2018 (PC & Console)

     

    Beacon is back and the rest of San Paro is getting into the festive spirit! This holiday, players can work their way through the under-construction skyscraper and join in the district wide Snow Ball Fight or fight through the 12 Deaths of Christmas event. There are twelve levels of different guns, every time you reach enough points/kills with a gun, you will advance to the next one.

    Kill enemies and strive your way to the final level, snowball. What better way to finish a game than having to smash a snowball in someone's face? The first player who gets to the last level and gets a kill with the snowball wins the game.

     

    Being a part of the 12 Deaths of Christmas is being rewarded with Secret Santa Gift Boxes. These are boxes contain a variety of Armas weapons for you to use in mission districts. Keep the spawned weapon for yourself, or hand it to a friend to assist you in battle. And be sure to stop by the Elf Contacts in Financial to get more goodies for helping them.

    I will have to apologize to you. My GM misunderstood you and thought that you couldn't spawn so they tried summoning you to get you back in the game. I gave them permission to help you out. That is basically what happened in your case, it's not a bug.

    Like I said, previously 160 people (40+40 x 2 districts) could play the event at once. Now only 80 (20 + 20 x 2 districts). Why can't all districts run at once?

    That's my district 🙂 I had an issue getting on the game. 80 people in one district makes event unplayable for a lot of players. All districts can't run at once because it requires a manual spawning.

    The event will be run in one district then once 4 games are done there it will be switched to other districts.

    Heya everyone,

     

    Just a small update. We are switching the Autumn assault event to the Autumn assault districts (they are called like that in the game). It will still be the same time, but we will see the possibility of spawning more events now.

    Hello everyone!

     

    A new patch is going up onto the Live servers for PC. This patch includes some minor bug fixes related to Gun Games. This patch will also introduce Autumn Assault districts. These special 40 man districts are the next variation of Gun Games. The Gun Games will be run in these smaller districts and we will be adding back in Streak to the rotation!
    This patch will be happening on Tuesday 11/27/2018. Maintenance will start at 9 AM UTC and will last for 4 hours.

     

    Patch Notes:

    • Fixed bugs related to the Streak Gun Game
    • Fixed bugs related to Autumn Assault weapon skins
    • Added in Autumn Assault districts

    Hello everyone!

     

    We made a change to the skin we will be giving away. Instead of Butcher skin, you will be now awarded an Autumn Assault skin. Same rules apply, if you win the match you will be getting this new skin, if you already own it, you will be getting 250 JT instead.

     

    The matches will be spawned on 3 servers. Citadel, Jericho, and Nekrova. 

     

    Citadel matches will be spawned 5 PM GMT, on Gold Financial and Waterfront districts.

    Jericho matches will be spawned 5 PM PDT, on Gold Financial and Waterfront districts.

    Nekrova matches will be spawned 5 PM MSK, one day on Gold Financial, one day on Gold Waterfront district. 

     

    If players want to have them spawned at different times, we will be making small adjustments to the schedule based on player feedback on the forums.

    Hello everyone (I will update the first post with this information),

     

    We had intended to award the players who were affected by the bug that didn't correctly award the 250 Joker Tickets after the patch but have run into some technical difficulties related to being able to grant these tickets. We have resolved this issue and will be granting the affected players their missing Joker Tickets after the next patch.

    Not sure what's going on here.

    Heya! I have talked to our devs and they said that the issue you are experiencing sounds like multi-GPU. If you run with dual cards or a card with multiple cores on it you need to enable multi-GPU compatibility mode in the options.

     

    Everyone else that is afraid that they will miss the event: we are making a schedule that can be remade so that players don't miss the event. The schedule will be announced tomorrow and you will be able to see where and when it happens.

    I strongly urge you all to try and change this. I'm against event rewards being character bound in general, but in this particular instance its ridiculous.

     

     

     

    I'm assuming there will be a minimum player count like in asylum or something, but who knows.

    From the information I have and from what the developers are telling me, account bound items are not available as in-game rewards.

    I'm not crazy about the event to start with, but if the skin's character bound it's totally bleh IMO.

    You win it on the character that you play with. So no it is not account wide.
