  1. To counter out the wind up timer the NFAS atleast has a decent amount of ammo so you can mow down a couple people in a row. Adding a wind up timer on sommthing that empties out in like 1 second seems pretty counterproductive.

You'd have to windup > Shoot > Reload in like 3 second intervals during fights which would be incredibly frustrating. Not to mention a wind up yukon would make it worse than the current one, which kind off goes against the entire idea of your wish to make it better.

Why everyone thinks that Yukon was bugged? Insane RoF was equal to slowpoke equipment time. Now they killed its RoF and don’t reduced equip animation. The gun is broken now.

It was stated by the devs that the yukon fire rate was bugged. Whether that's true or a just a quick criticism dodge is debatable, but it's the official statement.

  2. My take on the N-tec is to replace its stats with those of the Scoped N-tec. I've been using the Scoped N-tec PR2 for a while now and it's actually where the normal n-tec should be. It's a better killer at range but you can't full auto and jump around like an idiot because you will die. In my opinion, the problem with the N-tec isn't the TTK or the range, it's how you have almost no downside while achieving it. With the Scoped N-tec you are relatively immobile while firing, which makes it really difficult to just run out in the open and hunt people down.

    - Jump accuracy

    - Full auto accuracy

    - Walk Speed Modifier in MM

    - Accuracy in MM while strafing

    - Hipfire accuracy

Those five are what I'd consider the problem with the N-tec. You can essentially play the N-tec like a budget ATAC in close range. Nerfing the TTK and/or range is the wrong approach, the problem is that the N-tec is too versatile, so why would you nerf the thing that it's supposed to be good at?

  3. I used to play with 25-30FPS and ~250ms. I didn't do too bad but that's because I locked myself to a certain playstyle. Meaning I would rarely challenge players head on and instead sneak my way around the map to catch them off guard. Playing with such conditions isn't ideal by any means, but it does teach you to realize and act upon favorable engagements the hard way.

These days I play with 145 FPS on a 144hz screen and around 20ms to citadel. Which allows me to be much more bold, but traces of that playstyle are still here.

  4. Even with all its flaws, in the end you didn't get the skin because you weren't good enough. That's just how it is. Everyone had to deal with these issues and yet some players stay at the top consistently. I will say that for future events the rewards should be spread out a little more lenient, but I don't think it's fair to all those who have earned their skins to just give it out to everyone.

  5. Great post, I'll add some own issues from the top of my head, regardless of urgency. Compiling a list of issues in a big thread is a good idea as long as we keep it constructive. Will update over time probably.

    Missions:

    - Creme de la crime should be removed or rebalanced. Also it is bugged as well. When someone picks up the item in stage 5 it results in an instawin. Though I have noticed that this seems to apply to enforcers more than crims.

    - Your Drop - Their Drop with heavy items often have incredible distances inbetween the drops. Just dropping one item and then defending the other ones makes it almost impossible to win for the enemy if played well. Sometimes they are also barely 30 meters apart which makes it an (admittedly fun) mess but having two objectives that close to each other results in some horrific spawns for one side.

    - VIP should be turned into double VIP like in asylum. Not exactly sure how this would play out on a larger map but it's worth testing

    Bugs:

    - The trajectory of grenades (hand and launcher ones), as well as rockets get completely messed up when shot/thrown close to a car. Seems to happen more in marksman mode.

    - Meteor mod sometimes just doesn't work or makes you instantly explode.

    - There's a bug for nade launchers, especially the EOL series where when you jumpshoot it just shoots straight downwards

    - Concussion grenades can sometimes vanish when thrown under a car.

    - Concussion grenades sometimes do no damage.

    - Spotter mod sometimes refuses to spot people until you've shot a bullet, revealing your position. Seems to occur more often after a respawn where you havem't fired any bullets yet.

This is not about there being enough GMs but more about why they dont have more GMs

I feel like I say this daily. To all new players, and old players too.

if you havent noticed ITS AN OLD BUGGY ENGINE THAT IS BEING UPGRADED, and lag, this would explain 99% of teleports and people not dieing when they should,

also Fragile and the injection speed boost this is 99% of most speed haxusations

Players being better than you and knowing where your noob as is, this would explain 99.9% of wall hack accusations.

I put on Kev3 and people go spazzy and think im lagging or hacking. Stupid.

This is a learn the game thing.

Look at your own playing before you start making shit up and adding to the invalid unfounded crap.

Record, post it and then we can have a REAL discussion about this.

Man 6 years in, guess I'll learn the game

  7. There's an issue in this game right now when it comes to your staff that I and many others I imagine, are rather unpleased by. While the volunteer GM program is a good idea and their presence is good for the game (to an extent). They seem to lack any form of authority. You have done much already, but this is a major problem that needs to be adressed.

What's the point of having active GM presence when no form of consequences (seem) to occur for anyone breaking the rules? All it does is create an illusion of control when in reality nothing has changed. This will hurt your company reputation over time unless it's adressed. Now I'm sure you guys handle out disciplinary actions, but there's alot left unpunished.

I have two examples of players blatantly breaking the rules of the game without any consequences even after I contacted a GM. The ingame GM's tell you to ask for a whisper when you have an issue, so I have no doubt that this is the correct way.

The first was during a gun game event on Jericho. After hearing the same player shout a particular racial slur for the 10th time, I asked the GM to whisper me, I was assured that the issue was being handled. Yet just a couple of gun games later he's at it again. I'd assume that he was warned the first time, but then he just does it anyway, without nothing happening as far as I know. He kept going until the event ended like nothing ever happened.

The second issue was just now. There's a dude blatantly speedhacking in baylan on citadel. I swapped to financial and there just so happened to be a GM there. So I ask for a whisper as they want you to:

    c6b9ce32ff.png

(I censored the GM's name in case naming him/her breaks a forum rule)

And yet, almost two hours later this guy is still speedhacking. Now I don't expect any GM to instantly handle my request. Still, I do wonder what "looking into it" means here. I'm not asking for an investigation of some guy hiding his cheats cleverly. This guy is speedhacking, it doesn't take more than a minute to see that. Considering it shouldn't take more than five minutes for this dude to be banned, this just exposes a big flaw in your current system.

Every time something is reported to a volunteer GM, it has to go through support or whatever channel they use. This drastically delays your response time and in obvious cases like this it creates alot of dissapointment for the players affected. I understand that the volunteer system is most likely a way for you to cut down on resources, but this system is not sustainable for a longer time period. You are disassociating the authority of the <GM> tag by having a bunch of "fake" GMs present. Players will most likely end up contacting your staff less than they already do.

Now this was a complaint thread, I do admit. However I would like to start a discussion on how this can be improved.

    Kind Regards

So yet another day and yet another day of being prevented from getting kills due to the server not allowing me to kill ppl. My compensation for that is a lousy 50JT. @MattScott @Lixil you guys need to fix this game breaking flaw so ppl have a fair chance at the skin.

I agree that's a major issue but even if it's fixed don't expect to get the skin. I didn't get it 4 times in a row but then I won the skin on the last match, but only because i had a god tier location and could finish off all the people that were 85. It's really all about luck, be there first, get a good spot and hope people don't shoot you.

  9. Now I haven't played since Monster Hunter World PC release, but from my experiences and what I hear and see around the community. BE is doing a good job. However there will always be cheats (almost exclusively private cheats) that will make it through. I will say that that blatant triggerbotter twitch streamer still being around really is a big hit into the stomache though.

    I can confirm.
I made a ticket 2days ago on sunday. I bought $20 of g1c and got 1600 from amazon instead of 2000
so later on sunday night i PM'd Matt. Yesterday(well 4AM today) he replied asking for my ticket ID so he can try speeding it up
11hours ago(12PM) selali replied to my ticket saying that he issued 400g1c on my account to complete the 2000g1c 🙂
i thought this was supose to be implemented with the trading system tbh
It's nice that Matt helped you out, but lets not just spam him with messages to exploit that.

  11. Here's what I would change if I had the choice.

    Car Surfer:

It's a meme mod. Fun to use but will get you killed more often than you actually benefit from it. Against decent players this is a completely useless mod anyway, since you are presenting yourself on a silver platter. Doesn't really have a priority for me when it comes to mod changes.

    Radar Tower:

    Remove, it's a bad mechanic.

    Spotter:

I use the mod all the time, still same logic as with the radar tower. Free wallhack is a dumb mechanic, remove.

    Improved Rifling

    Change to 5/9/12m

Make it so the weapon does not do 100% damage when exceeding original maximum range. Basically like the damage drop off system works. Lets say weapon X does 10dmg/hit outside of its effective range. Its damage within its effective range is 20dmg/hit. With IR3 We can go past its effective range by 14m. However instead of giving us the maximum 20dmg/hit (like it works atm) for an extra 12m, we do 15dmg/hit within those 12m.

This would still make IR a mod without a downside, but I don't think it necessarily needs one. We just make the benefits a little less strong. My suggestion is gonna take alot of effort because it has to consider all the different damage curves though, so it's probably not viable.

In essence, I'm saying that instead of extending the range in which a weapon has min TTK, IR should only decrease TTK at range a bit,

    Pioneer/Espacio meta

    Reduce max hp slightly.

    General car strat

Implement a mechanic that prevents you from popping out the car at high speed. Or make it so you can't have full accuracy after doing so. This will slow the game down, but the car rush meta is incredibly boring to play or play against, with the 4 heavy car version being outright frustrating. (This is coming from someone who plays with his chrome osmaw all the time, I can counter this strat pretty reliably but it's still boring).

    3PS

Make it so swapping to your secondary takes 36% longer. Disable 3PS for all secondary weapons.

    Kevlar

Increase max health gain to 40%
    Remove speed debuff
    Add 30% weapon swap time
Make marksman mode accuracy gain 20% slower

    Fragile

    Change gained speed to 25%

There's lots more stuff I would change but I just created these from the top of my head. They are not that thought through, but I still wanted to write them down.
