  1. a mini gun just wouldn't work. it would fit into lmgs but what kind? you guys know how mini guns work right. it would cuase to many balancing issues aswell as game play issues due to it's insane power. even if the devs set damage to one because these things fire at ungodly rates due to the elertic motor in them, and why set it to a low rpm? am i scared of recoil? hell no crank that shit up and let recoil Jesus take me.

might as well after the latest patch rebuffing the oca and nerfing the pmg which I don't remember anyone crying that the oca nerf was bad. It seems like they are trying to see meta shifts vs actually trying to balance anything yet. Because if they wanted to balance everything, doing it in baby steps would be a good idea rather than trying to hit a homerun and make the game an even playing field with one fatal swoosh.

it's about trying to not ruin guns every tryhard uses while adding more in to the mix while also trying to cox people to spend more money on the game so they can have more funsbecause if i know one thing about apb tryhards it's that they fuzzy bunny like no tomorrow when they die to a non meta gun and claim all sorts of shit. so in simple they care for money more then making the guns feel realistic and following.

I don't think that is a very good idea. That will just put more expenses on the hands of LO.

In my opinion, real cheaters who use external programs ARE getting banned, but with a very high delay. like 6 or 7 hours. But as for firmware cheatings like macro usage, I don't think there will be any software that detects such an issue. You need to report them via support and pray they don't just go with "Hmmmmm... this is just a very good player!" No. some of them are even dumb enough to admit they are using firmware macro and they still get away with it.

i have as much trust and faith in LO support system as a feral raccoon

I mean all my builds are medic builds... besides my troll sniper haha

And we ran crossbows to troll after Akee claimed "Shotguns OP" before charge shots were nerfed, New and Improved Sparky could hit like a dumptruck on a critical charge shot.

    Weapon : 107 Pierce + 64 electrical +149 pierce = 320 + 10%(+/- which gains or loses) = possible 352 + 50% (critical) = 528 and that's before power's insane scaling before + armor cuts.

also gotta remember i could not for the life of me make a pvp build that worked. because 1 suck at fe pvp, and 2 my pc didn't like all the chaos of the mutations so i never really did anything besides die in death sports or run away from people chasing me across office park

The argument is, that lets say you add a threat: platinum. so now there is bronze silver gold platinum

in such a small population  bronzes become silver, silvers become gold, golds become platinum. That doesn't solve much, then platinum players will dethreat to gold, gold will still dethreat to silver

Long term, this solves nothing. APB 2.1 is going to host true fixes to matchmaking and slapping tooth paste, floss, duct tape, and bandaid fixes isn't going to help anything in the long term and may only hurt the population more than fix it.

if that's not the reason, then another reason would be more threats would separate players even more, because bronze and silvers will still be in bronze, silver and golds will still be in silver. but now platinum are stuck alone with each other.

in some games instead of band aiding the issue because hackers are dumber then a sack of bricks and keep coming back and back they simply make a sever that if you cheat you get stuck there. with other hackers. so a fix could be hacks in a hacker only server so they suffer with there own stupidity

Not possible unless you were using an xbow, 165 HW only, or no power/precision shotgun. Unless it was my HP regen build >_>

talking about your medic build. of course i did only have lights and i was never good at pvp. thank you which ever one of you assholes screwed me on death maxs. even if it is partly my fault

and also who uses an crossbow in pvp? only level 5 people would do that because the ones at level 5 can one shot most non boss mobs in south s1

When i first tried playing it, hip firing and getting kills was impossible for me. Which is why i like to use marksman mode to make the spread as minimal as possible. But i didnt want to be crippled by having the fov super zoomed in or be crippled by marksman moving speed.

so i choose not to run rs3 or hs3. Then like u said used muzzle break to make the recoil only go up

issue with tommy is that it's classed as a smg. as it should be because it's cambered in 45 acp, issue is in apb it has the works and functions of a AR so your suppose to use it one way, but that way is wrong you need to use it more close to a ntec which doesn't work for an smg

3.2 would've worked, if they kept ontop of things... yet another project pushes aside for something else. And ya, Nuba sent in reports of "dupers" that he would purposefully send duped items to try to report them. Sad thing is, it worked. Trash support was trash.

I solo'ed everything in Outpost... besides the Unknown boss and Outpost itself. But yes, quests were known to "insta-kill" as you'd get 6+ enemies spawning in at once doing heavy damage. It was pretty poor planning. The only thing that went well was the Combat System.

combat system always worked for fallen earth. not to complex not to simple a bit of planning and you can make some builds. or in your case not fun, because no matter how many rounds i stuck in your face you could out heal me

Outpost was rushed by G1 in 2014. When they released the update It had a little growth in population during that period, but in the following year high ranks were drastictly lower, Well not just because Outpost was a dissapointment so players lost interest and decided to leave, Also the economy sucked big time and yeah don't forget about the massive weekly banwaves that occured back then for hackers, dupers, people who accidently opened mails with duped items or bought duped items from AH etc.. all of them recieved the hammer, G1 didn't take no prisoners, once your banned your gone for good.

yes i remember that, and the DDOS era i think the year before or after didn't help. BUT HEY we got a cool shirt out of it. (not)

in honesty g1 needed to redo but outpost and alpha zone. they were way to hard to solo and not much easier with a team with out post if you weren't there day 1 you basically had no chance of doing missions at any given point, and even then the missions were not worth your time only center event (which most would just leech off) and the raid which i think had a stupidly long cool down like 24+ hours

well what i found, was that muzzlebreak makes the gun WAAAAY easier to predict the recoil since its more or less only going up. Then since you have to aim to be accurate with it, i put mobility sling on to compete with SMG's that dont need to be aimed. next ext mag 1 because i just needed a couple bullets of security without sacrificing reload if I get into a bind.

I found that for me this was the best combo, and it made it even more fun because its not brain dead meta.

i find with muzzle brake and RS 3 in hip fire mod what happens is the recoil is straight up and down. so if you aim at someone's feet you can get a kill almost 99% of the time. unless your game stutters or freezes

Stack splitting was part of a dupe... so that would be addressed within that.

And most of those issues have been around forever, especially the hacking tools that even when submitted were ignored for... well Outpost is a good example of what was deemed "worth the time", a zone that's 80% empty.

Outpost was a failure no way around it. a lazy copy paste of TW with enemies that were way way to hard to beat solo forcing groups... in a game were barely any max or high ranks were on and staring to decline

and i remember they made it even worse when they added the panthers that would kill your car quick and you even quicker

and g1s support system was about as reliable as water paper

    +1

Tho if they can fix hacks, dupes, and clientside issues I'm subbing commander for 2 years day 1 without question.

trust me on this. fixing hacks and dupes is like some sort of hydra. you get rid of one they find a new one and when you put these idiots into large groups they figure them out faster.

also what about fixing stack spilt. you know how hard it was to make anything when you got to carry around 500 pounds of crap because you can't put up what you don't need

with the right mods it made for a fun anti-meta smg, that could rival the pmg. but since the oca buff it would just be easier to use it rather the tommy.

If you want to try what mods I used for the tommy i used: Muzzle Break, Mobility Sling, and extended mag 1

i use it more like an lmg with ir3 ext mag 3 and 3 point sling. only time i ever found tommy to be good was in fight clubs, or when LO did that range change which lowered its fire rate so it was like a slightly more powerful OCA

Another ridiculous detail about cars in APB is the top speed. According to APB Database, the absolute maximum speed of a Bishada Rapier is 23 m/s. That translates to a whopping 82.8 km/h.

I know there are game engine and server related restrictions which cause this, but it's still amusing to me.

I remember reaching 400 km/h in Need For Speed Underground 2, a game released in 2004. Cars in earlier NFS titles weren't much slower either, to my understanding.

your telling me a sports car is going like 51 mph? what is this 1956?

    Doesn't matter.

well glad to know it's 1 part my crappy pc, and 1 part the settings don't fucking work. seriously when is LO gonna fix that? audio sliders dont do anything expect mute or unmute the game

The game checks where the center of your screen is pointing and draws a line between your weapon and that spot. For explosive weapons, it changes the angle the projectile comes out of.

The weapon names are just names. A lot of it is left over from RTW times. I think 243, 556, and 762 were suppose to be 1 slot, 2 slot, and 3 slot variants of each primary weapon, but even then the name scheme was all over the place. They split up the weapons for more variety. Here's some of the first RTW concepts. Most of these models were in the game, up until G1 added the skin system and butchered them.

Also, don't stretch your screen. Play at your monitor's native resolution, or at the same aspect ratio. Like Zombie said set the UI scale to 1 to fix the crosshair size. Use the advanced launcher or modify the config file yourself if you need to reduce the graphics. The crosshair is accurate at 10M, at 1024:768 resolution. Further distances it's smaller than the bullet spread, closer is bigger than the bullet spread. At higher resolutions the crosshair is too small, and at the lowest it's too big. Generally, if your crosshair is 1" or smaller and the player is bigger that it, you won't miss.

APB freezes on all hardware. It can't access more than 3.5GB of RAM due to it being built in 32 bit instead of 64 bit, so it's forced to clear out unused memory to prevent crashes. On the contrary, you still need at least 8GB of RAM installed so Windows can manage it, otherwise you run out of RAM and the page file gets used, which leads to more freezing.

issue with the pc i have right now is that if i know right it's 11 years old give take can't be upgrade and is running mostly outdated Intel parts.  i can run apb souly due to it having 16 gb in it. any game even on the lowest of low i can get it to will not run at the res the screen comes in i have to set it to around 1080x800 or somewhere close

  16. they pick and choose what to nerf and what to buff by throwing darts at the wall. what ever they hit thats what it gets. still have yet to get an r2 buff and it's been 2 years

  17. something i do not understand about the guns is that they can fire perfect left and right. how the fuck does the bullet curve like that? i also dislike the reload speeds there slow clunky and take way to long. in a fight you need to reload and be back in it fast. that means not doing these old range reloads. i also have no idea how the bullets work in this game. each calibier gos to a class but here it's like a big cluster fuck. 556 vs 44 mag? think the ar is gonna win due to range power and more rpm? NOPE 44 wins becuase it can go farther then 50m for what ever reason. i also question why the cross heir doesnt always tell me were i'm gonna hit i'll hit outside of it inside of it WAY outside of it. in marksman and hipfire. this game is like playing in a casino becuase its a fuck all game that doesnt let you know if you win or not.

or it's the fact my pc is a POS that tends to freeze lag and stutter each 1/3 of a second that anything happens
