It's has a few similarities like the volunteer GM program, only more sophisticated and more advanced.
2 hours ago, Glaciers said:and have you used this insider access to help little orbit with detection/countermeasure methods?
No, absolutely not. I offered my help as an experienced GM in the past and LO declined it, wich is their right ofcourse. On top of that, LO doesn't seem to be in a sharing mood lately (support character restoring, Nekrova merge and some more things I encountered) so I see no reason to share my intel. It may sound selfish but sharing goes both ways.

2 weeks ago, new special features where added to a private cheat, made by a known cheat developer. These features made it so that spectators and/or GM's are having a very hard time detecting the rnd aspect of the cheat. I know for a fact (proof) that at least 10 people play on Jericho and even more on Citadel. They play every day and they're still not banned and I'm pretty sure that those new rnd features are mainly responsible for it (I saw the private video). Even if LO had access to this cheat or how to counter it then still they would have to deal with the rerolling of it.
Technicly you can ban the cheater but with their 'np, new account in 2 minutes' attitude, legit people face the same cheaters within a very short period of time. This will continue unless LO changes it course when it comes to cheaters, there are solutions that has been proven working well for other companies but LO is not willing to accept and work with that concept.

There's at least 2 other languages then English spoken in chat on a daily basis and nobody seems to bothered about those. Just let it go and disable your chat if you're that bothered.

And we all know how hard it is for a cheater to reroll *cough hwid-spoofer cough*.
No offence but the actions taken against cheaters these days are a joke and highly offensive to those who play legit. No wonder players dethreat...

You might want to take a look at that again, even the Sitting Ducks are missing. How hard can it be ffs...

Just the mail? How about looking into all weapons that everybody is missing? How in the world can you overlook something important like that?

How about finding out for us? There's loads of people (including me) who lost a shitload of stuff due to the merge and the problem is known to staff and yet no official announcement of it.

4 hours ago, CookiePuss said:I don't understand why the subject of cheaters is being brought up.
Because there are still cheaters ingame and they still roam free so it's very hard to grasp to see a griefer getting banned instead of the cheater. Fact of the matter is that most cheaters are being ignored and not delt with in a proper manner (we all know who they are).

Just think back. In the past, lots of 'new' JB legendaries are overpowered until new JB's are released so you need ot spent more money to get overpowered weapons. It's all about the dollars.

Hm, I didn't see that one coming. Oh wait....

A large chunk of dethreaters are doing it to avoid the closet cheaters (yes they're still here). Punishing dethreaters over cheaters seems a logical thing to do.

I know of at least two.
6 private and 2 with a max amount of users (used for clans/groups). There's more to come tho, still some new ones in development.

They already have but it's limited to hired staff (GM on payroll).

37 minutes ago, Seedy said:thats not what I asked. If you cared about APB then why would you not tell the company who own it any information to help the game such as you know (or at least claim to) that there is a cheat for the new anti cheat?
I do care about APB. I offered my help multiple times, even volunteered for GM and apperantly I wasn't seleceted because of my hard dedication to catch cheaters and less 'helpfull' ingame. I accept LO's decisions on the matter, it also means that my help stops and that my knowledge on APB cheats and everything that goes with it stays with me. LO is trying to run a business, so do I (kind of), no hard feelings.
As far as our website goes, it's being revamped and it's taking its time.

No, I do not work for LO.

I run FairplayHQ, a ring of dedicated GMs who GM on multiple games. We also keep track of wich cheat provider does what. It's what we do.

Eventho I have way over 1000+ Innova hours I'd still think that this will bite me in the @$$ somehow. With the previous merge a lot of things went wrong, good stuff went 'missing' and where not put back into the account due to stubborn (or lazyness, take your pick) support. I fear for my good stuff tbh...

My dropped armas weapons free to use for the new f2p rage hackers. Sounds like a good plan...

What about songs/themes that are stored in mail? Due to the limited space for songs and themes, most creators (including myself) store these in their mail to 'bypass' the limited space. Will all mail + attachements be ported from Nekrova to Citadel as well?

I won't be losing anything from my Nekrova account by the looks of it. There's only 1 thing that isn't mentioned and I'll PM you with info within a few days with the missing info @MattScott
Cheating

My application was declined because I was to focused on getting cheaters banned and not spending much time ingame in a supportive role. I'm fully aware that a GM should have multiple qualities and a specific quality isn't met by a volunteer GM then the company has the right to decline the application and I accept that. I'm a GM on multiple games and I think mainly that is because I'm not stopping at just getting cheaters banned. I'm always running the extra mile and that includes getting inside information on how cheats works, how they're programmed and distributed. For example, last year we offered a complete web-based cheat distribution backpanel to a company and they gladly took it of our hands. Due to this backpanel the company had inside information on how dll files where compiled 'on the fly', injection methods and lots of more stuff that I cannot discuss. One of the benefits of this action was a banwave. And this was just for 1 game, the backpanel actually distributes multiple cheats for multiple games so there's a strong possibility that more then 1 company could benefit from this. We didn't offer this to LO because it came to our attention that somebody else already did (and yes, I know who), I do not know if that offer was accepted or not.
How's that for 'completely untrustworthy'. I'm not trying to be an a-hole but helping a company who's unwilling to help you by not correcting mistakes is just not worth it. I'd rather point out the flaws and letting them deal with it in a way that they see fit.
