  1. to be honest, along with a unique customization system, I think APB's gun play is the only other thing that makes this game pretty unique. I wouldn't have continued playing and constantly coming back to APB if its combat was any different than it is now, but if there are changes people want to see happen, then I wouldn't see a problem with that as long as it goes through OTW and the community approves of it.

There was a problem that I don't know if it got fixed. It was about the IR3 not doing dmg in close range, bullets going through target.

That bug was patched pretty quickly, probably a day or two after it was found.

Also the joker TAS from rocker bundle has less spread thx to the RS3 that it has installed. But in personal experience. I sincerily find different the CSG with IR3 than Joker TAS with IR3. The joker TAS with IR3 (don't know why) shows less spread, than the CSG with IR3.

I can't imagine RS3 making a significant difference in spread, if any at all. The CSG and TAS are the same exact weapons statistically, so I can't see there being any notable differences between the two weapons besides their appearance and sounds.

Ooooooooooooooooooooor.... Just make a new account, and let it idle in Social... And not do anything while you sleep with a belly full of tendies that you used GBP for, and wake up and cheat all day while REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-ing at legit players.

My suggestion doesn't fuck over people who have FC-Only characters (in other words, does not punish players who have been playing normally for more than 10+ hours) while the current system we have now prevents someone from being able to cheat in FC for only an hour or two, and a product of that poor restriction is that innocent players who are lower than r30 are punished and forced to play missions.

If you actually think this is a legitimate way to restrict cheaters, then why stop there? Why not force all characters under r30 to go into a "new player district" and play until r30 in order to play missions in normal gold/silver/bronze/green districts?

So they just idle characters in Social, and then can hop in. when they wake up... Sounds too easy.

And playing til r30 isn't "too easy?"

R30 takes a couple of hours to get. 1-3 hours is less than 10. If it takes 10 hours to enter FC districts, that's an extra 7/8/9 hours it'll take someone who's cheating to make a new account and borg in fc.

Kek, this boi was teleporting around the map and was undamageable. But hey you can be salty about my accusations all you like

idk how you mistook my acknowledgement of your overabundance of hackusations as "salt," but whatever. You're self aware, and at least you can admit to it.

  6. 1 hour ago, NotTheEnforcer said:

I mean it took them 6 months to get to a possible cheater report with included video from me.

They've probably been putting it off since you hackusate literally anyone who's capable of minttking you.

  7. 7 minutes ago, ShaiShai said:

no the problem is that the pop is so low that when you do go agenst 1 person, the next mission is the same effing botter, then when you know your gonna loose cuz the a-hole is useing a cheat thats the point , not that you want to just leave cuz you didnt try, you try it, go to silver, k up, do the first mission, then k up again, see that you get the same oppents, and now if one of thoes oppents you had was someone that had god like abilitys and killed you about 30 times or more in a row in the last misison, will your motivation be oh look , its the same guy, let me go get killed over and over again, no it will be , ffs, this a-hole again

I don't know how you come up with 30 deaths. it sounds exaggerated, but I don't think I can relate to you at all. Over the past few months I've been actively playing, I only accused maybe 2 or 3 people of cheating, I don't understand how people hackusate so often and just give up when someone minttks them more than a few times. There are really good players in this game, you're sorta fucking yourself by just assuming everyone who dumpsters you is a cheater, because then you're blaming the game and not improving off your possibly flawed playstyle.

Hell, it's 100% possible to win against a chunk of cheaters. OCA/ntec bots can easily be countered with JG/CSG. hug corner and pop shot.

so in your words, you rather feed the botter and have him win as there is no point in trying when you know he will get 50 - 5 or some un reaasonably number like that, whats the fun in dieing over and over and over and over again , let me hint it to you, there isnt, so no, im not gonna let some fucking botter win the mission cuz he has a unfair advantage of his bot to let him kill me over and over

Well if you're willing to dismiss the mission so quickly and give up within seconds of matching up against someone, I doubt you really care about whether the "botter" wins or not.

  9. 2 hours ago, ShaiShai said:

    3) other players are harrassing you forcing you to play vs botters, i got a demerit so the team leader could kick me but he straight up told me, no if i face the botter, you do too

game is loving botters more then ever

why not at least try? seriously, its frustrating to get matched up against a 3 man premade and some dumb fuck on your team just says "well ggs, im not playing this one" and afks/griefs until you kick them. just close your game if you aren't willing to play it.

It's really crazy how often people will just hackusate and give up without even attempting to win.

look 10 hours is nothing to a cheater. R30 means that much longer whether cheater or not.

Make a new account, make a new character, join a bronze mission district, play until you hit R30.

There's no way it takes you longer than 10 hours to get R30. I doubt it'll take you longer than 3 hours.

4 minutes ago, Fortune Runner said:

Why are you arguing about the obvious ?

What's obvious? You clearly don't remember how fast early ranks pass by.

  11. 5 minutes ago, CookiePuss said:

But it takes much less playtime than that to hit r30.

That's what I'm saying. If they're concerned about new players joining FC before they even learn how to play the game, or just cheaters jumping right back into FC after being banned, they should at least make the requirement to access FC take up a chunk of the players time.

    5 minutes ago, CookiePuss said:

Also, I'm not sure what you are suggesting is an option.

Maybe not, all I know is that overall playtime for each individual character is tracked, so I can't see why they wouldn't try something like this.

  12. If your concern is primarily about new players joining and getting stomped and causing frustration among the players, or people making new chars just to grief, why not just lock FC behind a playtime wall for each individual character. This way, people with low ranked FC characters don't have to rank up to 30 just to play.

I think this would be a more effective way of addressing your concerns, considering the fact that rank 30 only takes an hour or two to get. Only allow players who've played 10+ hours into FC.

Thats a matter of opinion, I find the Oscar easier to use than the carbine, fair point with always being able to purchase it since without spending real money you need to be 195+ to get it without JTs

Correct, except we're comparing carbine and oscar, two gun which are very similar and in the same role.

The TTK is about .1(?) of a difference? Most people wont hit minimum TTK with semi auto weapons since they're semi-automatic, you may get close but unlikely to consistently hit it bang on. Also you're trading .1~ extra second of a TTK for a third less of effort in terms of clicking and aiming, better accuracy, better range and just an overall easier experience.

Again ease of use is subjective, I find the oscar considerably easier to use.

Except the oscar takes a tiny bit more skill than carbine. They're both spammable, but he carbine is just easy.

Nope, I think I’m onto something.

It would be great to have some sort of target practice mini-game

and to be rewarded a small amount of joker tickets for it would be even better.

Sounds like a boring repetitive activity I would need to do to get my ~20% weekly cap of JT. Doesn't really sound like something people would want. I'm not opposed to variety, I just don't think APB needs PvE content, especially when it pulls players away from other players missions when Jericho rarely peaks 350 players nowadays.

There is no point to use a carbine when the oscar exists, change my mind.

Just like how there's "no point" in using most other weapons in APB because the ntec exists?

I love how people are shitting on the oscar so much as if it's as cheap/easy/powerful as the OCA and ntec. At least the person stomping you with the oscar has to use their brain to do so, while ntec/OCA players can just hold down LMB to win for the most part.

Do you ever tried to track an Oscar Player on close Combat ? then you know what i am talking about cause its fucking impossible..... they warping arround and teleporting.

A Weapon which is god tier on close combat and also at mid range..... GG Gamersfirst.

So you want a weapon (that you admit is difficult to use at close range,) to be nerfed because it performs exceptionally well at medium/close range?

Have you forgotten about the ntec? Anyone can use the damn thing, it's easy as hell. You really want the oscar to be nerfed/changed before the ntec does? That doesn't really make sense.

I'm not great at the game, though i try to support my team out and switch weapons when needed (Like close range using the Oca, or longer mid i use Obir or AF-97) Along with supplying ammo on defense missions and offering heals with the medispray. But of course if im not getting a ton of kills, i get tked and called trash. I don't see a point of trying to assist my team with kills when they are fucking me over because of how i preform. I feel as if there should be something to deter this, because the current system to handle stuff like that is non existent.

I'm not offering any to say there should be changes but im not sure what else to do during those missions.

APB's poor matchmaking system is not really the players fault. However, If players feel they're losing because they believe someone like you is holding them back from winning, not much can stop them from being vocal about it, whether it be positive or negative. When it comes to griefing/tking, I don't really know how else you could penalize players further than the current demerit system we have now.

Also, I wouldn't count on the whole "I'm a support player" thing. If I was 85'd and you ran up to me and medsprayed, I'd probably be annoyed too, especially in a clotting agent meta where medspray doesn't do anything. Most people run field supplier or ammo boxes, you really don't have to worry about your teammates ammo/nade supply. If you're dying in team fights on a 3v3 mission, and you're focusing on "support" while lacking heavily in kills and actually doing objectives, your other 2 teammates would constantly be outnumbered, and will more than likely lose every fight.

If you aren't good at shooting in a somewhat team-based shooter, you should expect other players to become frustrated with you, especially when you focus on unimportant things like resupplying and healing your teammates when they are 100% capable of doing it themselves.

  18. Why are people acting as if LTLs are so meta, that it's absolutely necessary to give crims the same weapons or an LTL equivalent? They've been made hard to use on purpose, they suck compared to most guns (except the SBSR and Oblivion, because those guns are trash) and they force you to play one faction. I feel like most people who ask for crim LTL have never even played an enforcer before... LTL isn't that amazing, and honestly, you're lucky to be playing on a faction where you don't have new players using the NL9 as if its a buckshot LTL shotgun, on silver servers. Just make an enforcer.

Thought the revive mechanism would work better then the self-healing system and, instead of using mods to speed up hp recovery, the players can free up their slots to bring additional consumables so as to weigh more on the game’s strategical aspects rather than solely reply on the weapons they use, which eventually pushes the game towards pay2win per se.

This is also great for a mentor program where new players can be truely assisted by experienced players on the same group.

Also, I think it’s better to incorporate some of the mods into the outfits, such as bulletproof vest is made to increase player’s hp and tactical boots can make them run faster, etc.

    @MattScott

The worst thing you could do to APB is limit players customization by forcing stats on clothing items and making them "meta" in some sort of way, which will make the games customization look dry since everyone would be using the same clothing items, and I'm sure it's easy to see why this would be unfair for the people who sit in social and dedicate most of their time to designing.

Removing self-healing and making people use consumables to restore health will just change the games pace entirely, and I don't know if there's any point in doing this, since many people are fine with the way the game is.
