Its been way too long for LO to not have done anything. At first I defended them but after time passed and nothing to fix the glaring problems I went back to calling them out. Hell my thread calling them out still has 0 responses from any LO staff lul. Even if someone did go in there I bet they would silence it instead of doing anything. After 8 years its painfully clear @MattScott and LO dont care about APB.

Yes anyone with half a brain can see the difference between legits and cheaters. Only the LO staff cant tell.

Feels like alot of smoke and mirrors honestly. First off GFAC is not doing a good job at all and the amount of hackers we see is proof of that. Ofc new player experience is crap its been that way since forever. Its even worse when you have dethreated vets being thrown in. To remove the threat system would be like open season. You need some sort of system to reflect skill and keep vets and good players separated from newbies and bad players and you need to enforce the TOS to prevent dethreating.

Yea I played it. I got all the rewards aval from it. The hacking issue had nothing to do with Riot as it is a GAME issue. Ie the entire game. Riot just suffered from it exactly like the tried and true missions continue to do today. To crap all over one specific mode before it can be fully released was just dumb.

Instead, the opinion of the old solvent players remains a priority. For example, adding another broken pistol with a silencer to the game. And completely ignoring network issues. I wonder if these smart guys from the moon know that network problems and the mechanics of rapid-fire pistol shooting are the main reason for reports of cheaters?
If they know this, then why have they ignored it for many years? Why are they sacrificing their player base for the sake of players for whom APB is just another desktop shooter? I don't understand.
It honestly just seems like @MattScottand LO dont really care anymore. Back when they first got the game I defended them saying give them some time to cook and learn the game. The BR mode everyone crapped on when it came out I even defended as it was the first true new thing in the game since forever ago and while it wasnt perfect it had potential. But nobody gave it a chance to come out of its open test phase and since then it seems like LO gave up. They also listened to the wrong people in terms of what they should do for the game which only drove away more players. LO needs to step up at this point otherwise just shut the game down. Its been so long it will be impossible to recapture what was once here unless an APB 2 is released. Even if they did fix the hacking issue its too little too late now.
The vets such as myself have grown up. 15 years ive been playing APB thats a very long time. Those vets who have aged and moved on wont come back.-

I saw the same names multiple times on the in-game FairFight announcement, but the tracking site only shows the first ban. It also didn't tell you all their characters, which meant people hiding could first login to their no name character, and if not banned, then switch to their known characters. Tiggs would manually ban players for arbitrary reasons, which I've seen while I was in-game.
I don't remember that. Was it a "hack" or was it the phone acting as a gateway and interacting with the network packets for APB? I remember there being something about hijacking user sessions, but I can't remember if that was APB or the Unreal 3 engine in general.
It was a full blown hack. He got the game code, wrote it into his cheats and was a known blatent for years before finally getting banned. Tried rerolling once or twice but he was caught onto and when he quit APB outright he publically released his cheats to the public for free. Ever since the amount of cheaters ballooned and since the cheats use game code they are impossible to detect. So yes, the problem runs that deep.

Is Little Orbit going to start being more open with the community in regards to actions on cheaters? You brought out GFAC but after that you have gone silent and the game continues to have a high number of cheaters openly cheating and even streaming the cheats on youtube and twitch. It feels like LO doesnt care if the problem is resolved or showing the community they are taking any actions on reports.

LO and @MattScott it is time for you to start showing us you are actually doing something about cheaters and hackers in game. It is painfully obvious that GFAC does not work and botters continue to run rampent in the game. Your GMs (if they ever actually show up in game) never investigate anything and instead they silence the users that call out cheaters and or say use the in game report system. The in game report system does not work and you have provided 0 proof to the community over the years that it does work and any actions have been taken. Because of this nobody uses the report system.
Not to mention the constant and blatent videos posted to youtube and streamed live on twitch of botters running around cheating with 0 repercussion. You as a company and anyone with power in LO have completely and totally failed in your jobs to deter and prevent cheating when it is so blantently put out there in public. You lose all credibility and trust when this stuff is brought to your attention and you just blow it off and dont take any action. What are you going to do as a company to start taking action against all these cheaters? What are you going to do to start providing us with stats on actions taken and prove when reported that things are looked into?We as a community deserve a fair game with GMs and leaders that will enforce the rules, actively work to remove and deter cheaters and will have a level of transparency with the community that will prove when people and things are reported that it is looked into.

Having an official status means LO has to do work. And they dont like working. Its also resources pulled elsewhere to make something else vs working on something that could actually detect and ban the cheaters. But see point 1 on that.

You have a game where a hacker was able to get in and completely copy the game code into hacks and cheats. There are bigger issues out there.

I beg to differ. Been using it the last few days and the launcher is not just bugged but flawed. Eggs magically fire to the right of the barrell and crosshair sometimes resulting in shots that wont hit any target you aim at and then they dont have a consistent forward motion. They can fly left, fly right, fly up and sometimes down. The projectile does not have a straight and consistent line like any bullet or snowballs from the afformentioned snowball launcher has. This makes the egg launcher the absolute worst weapon ever released in APB and what was already tedious is now impossible to do. Using the egg launcher is such a handicap that your threat might as well turn green upon equipping. The only thing it has going for it is that it can chew through cars but car kills with the egg launcher dont count towards the event.

Did anyone at LO actually test the egg launcher to make sure it actually functioned as a weapon? This thing is so broken its a$$. Eggs can fire to the right of the barrell and crosshair resulting in instantaneous misses (even at 1m) and hitreg is even bigger a$$ with this thing then it is normally.... and normally it doesnt exist. Then eggs will go in any and all directions, each shot going a different direction resulting in accuracy that doesnt exist and knowing which way the eggs will go is anybodies guess. It honestly feels like you threw something together, didnt test it and just threw it into the game in a broken state.

So im having the same problem that appears to be prevelent in here. GFAC fails to initilize and when clicking start the launcher auto closes and the game doesnt start. I am running through steam and I am still using windows 10. I deleted all GFAC files and the launcher fails to initilize GFAC to reinstall them with anti virus off.

Halloween 2025 - The Epidemic Returns
The spookiest season of the year is just around the corner and with it we decided to give Epidemic yet another run this year. However, we've heard your feedback from last years run about how tying the new rewards to a role requiring you to complete daily activities felt like a chore and really didn't let you grind the role even if you wanted to so this year we've changed the main role to require you to finish matches instead. We have also increasing the amount of Joker Tickets earned per level of the role from 150 to 250 and have added a new weapon skin called "Glow in the Dark (White)" as part of finishing the role!

Joker M9S 'Pulse Check'
We initially planned to release the Joker M9S 'Pulse Check' along with the Joker C9S 'Prototype' as part of the Legends patch - However, as the Halloween patch grew in scope especially in terms of Balance changes we have decided that we're going to release the Joker M9S 'Pulse Check' as part of the Halloween patch!
The Joker M9S 'Pulse Check' is a fast firing, high damage Legendary pistol with an integrated XTD-7s Silencer helping you stay undetected while roaming the streets of San Paro - As with all new Legendary Weapons this weapon will be sold by Anne on the Joker Ticket store.
Balance
Additionally this patch we're going to make large balance adjustments to almost all SMG's as well as trying to find a better balance between where we want the OBIR and Oblivion to sit in terms of overall power.
SMG Balance
SMG's have always been rather situational in APB: Reloaded's overall gunplay with most players chosing more versatile medium to long range weapons over SMG's. We're generally fine with this approach but think that SMG's should be slightly stronger and more consistent overall than they currently are, thus we have tweaked most SMG's to varying degrees usually focusing on improving their base accuracy slightly as well as lowering how much accuracy they lose during sustained fire. This should improve how SMG's feel to play across the board and lower the amount of "feels bad" moments when using them past 15~ meters.
We also want to acknowledge the problematic state that Shotguns are currently in with most shotguns feeling like they're not consistent or unfun to play/play against. We are currently also in the initial phases of a shotgun rework to address their overall annoyance of shotguns when playing or playing against them. This new design approach is still some time out but should hopefully place shotguns in a better spot for players but also for us to balance.
PMG
- Accuracy At Ten Metres decreased from 34 to 33.
- Effective Range increased from 20m to 25m.
- Recovery per second increased from 6.9 to 7.
PMG-SD
- Accuracy At Ten Metres decreased from 34 to 31.
- Effective Range increased from 20m to 25m.
- Recovery per second increased from 6.9 to 7.
OCA-EW
- Radius At Ten Metres decreased from 36 to 35.
- Crouch modifier decreased from 1 to 0.9.
- Recovery per second increased from 5.15 to 5.18.
OCA Whisper
- Radius At Ten Metres decreased from 34 to 32.
- Recovery Per Second increased from 5.15 to 5.18.
ACES SMG
- Overall Shot Modifier Cap decreased from 2 to 1.5.
CAP40
- Radius At Ten Metres decreased from 36 to 35.
- Crouch modifier decreased from 1 to 0.9.
H-9 Curse
- Health Damage increased from 105 to 111.
- Effective range increased from 30m to 35m.
- Marksmanship modifier decreased from 0.98 to 0.85.
- Overall Shot Modifier Cap decreased from 1.5 to 1.
- Jump modifier decreased from 4.4 to 2.2.
Manic
- Overall Shot Modifier Cap decreased from 0.68 to 0.6.
Norsemen
- Crouch modifier decreased from 1 to 0.9.
- Recovery per second increased from 7.1 to 7.2.
Pistol Balance
- Reduced the delay of all traditional secondary weapons from 1s to 0.5s.
Dev note: To encourage swapping secondaries more frequently we're lowering the resupply delay for secondaries from 1 second to 0.5 seconds allowing players to fully resupply their secondaries much faster. This change does not affect the Flare Gun or Firework Launcher.
Act 44
- Effective Range increased from 60m to 70m.
Misc Balance
OBIR
- Minimum Damage range increased from 80m to 85m.
- Equip time increased from 0.8s to 1.0s.
Dev note: The OBIR has been underperforming since it had its damage reduced so we're trying to improve the guns effectiveness at range without reintroducing the same frustration the weapon caused prior to its nerfs.
S-247 'Oblivion'
- Equip time increased from 0.95s to 1.2s
- Walk modifier increased from 0.25 to 1.10.
- Jump modifier increased from 8 to 16.
Dev note: The Oblivion has been a hot topic and has largely replaced the OBIR in the meta - We've heard the feedback about the gun being a little too good at almost all ranges so we're pulling back on its Close Range power a little bit as well as fixing an unintended behavior the gun had which made it gain accuracy on the move.
Joker SR15 Carbine
- Accuracy AT Ten Metres reduced from 22 to 21.
- Overall Shot Modifier Cap reduced from 1.6 to 1.4
- Equip time reduced from 1s to 0.8s.
Dev note: With the large changes to SMG's above we feared that the Carbine would struggle to be effective within its intended distances, because of this we're giving it slightly better base accuracy and tigher max bloom which should also make running Cooling Jacket a compelling option again.
Miscellaneous changes
- Changed the priority layer for the following interactions to be on the same layer as that of interacting with your Vehicles cargo: Opening Doors, Climbing Ladders, Climbing Fences, Spawning Vehicles - Players will now need to look towards the object they want to interact with if multiple are present. This change aims to remove clunky interacts where parking a car next to other interactable objects would often prioritize the wrong interaction.
- Picking up task items is now prioritized over Breaking into vehicles to prevent a clunky interaction if an item was dropped next to a vehicle that could be broken into.

Ive said this before and ill say it again. You cant balance weapons properly based off of hitreg that doesnt work. This is especially big for shotties, you have already rebalanced shotties twice since taking over from G1 and it hasnt fixed the problem. Making each pellet have its own hit made things worse cause you can be point blank and not get the kill cause afew pellets didnt register. Shotties have always been outplayed by SMGs and some ars at close range cause balancing has never been there. Within 12 or 10m shotties should be king, capable of one shotting enemies should all pellets hit (Minus auto shotties like NFAS). This is not the case as hitreg again doesnt exist and you have SMGs like the PMG that can 3 tap someone and you cant get a 2nd shot off with a shottie with that kind of TTK on an SMG rendering them pointless.

Its a miracle APB is still around after 15 years and while it was an event to do it kind of felt like a letdown. Titles are nice and all but you can only have one at a time equipped and there was so much more that could have been done. There could have been limited time weapon skins for 15 years, there could of been shirts, skirts, pants and undergarments special for 15 years. We had a special shirt for 10 yrs. You could of ran the event longer and given more to do to reward more JT and even a chance at a legendary. But just titles alone feels abit lackluster for such a milestone and doesnt make it feel anymore special then one of the events that have been recycled 15 times already. All in all while it was something to do it wasnt THAT special compared to normal.

Any company that has multiple places to share info and chat should keep each and everyplace up to date. If a post goes to one area the same exact one should go to all the others. If you have multiple outlets and one of them is an official forum, the forum should always be the first point of contact. Only updating select places just shows laziness and a lack of caring for your community.

Trash talking has been a thing for years. There are no community standards and LO doesnt enforce the ones that are in the books. Hell their GMs are only that in name they cant actually ban anyone nor do they seem to care enough to enforce community guidelines.

News flash. Some are more broken then others, mainly ones that are op or broken to begin with. For example, whats more broken at range? A scout or an HVR? The point here is that the .45 is broken normally and shouldnt be so powerful. 95% equip rate is beyond a symbol of meta, its a sign that no other secondary can compete and they arent worth anything. In a properly balanced world 50% equip rate is high with how many secondaries are out there.
Another example. At CQB range in APB what is the gun of choice? a PMG or a shottie? A PMG will always be the gun of choice cause its also broken. APB gun balancing is beyond broken and the last few gun changes have done little to fix that. The .45 is in that broken tier and there are ways to abuse it. A nerf is needed to bring it down from broken status and to bring up other secondaries to make them viable otherwise why have them in the game at all?-
