  1. I've watched abandoned cars despawn, eventually. That, I can confirm. When I'm having a high ping, low fps night (low being less than 14fps; shit pc, working on it) on NA server, I'll run repo and traffic patrol. Every dirty job that comes along. ie Impounding stolen vehicles and clearing intersections. Roleplay isn't all arrests, bounty hunting and glory, but hey I have vehicles set up for it and a Grease Monkey outfit...so why not? It's not perfect, I know. But I do my best to be part of the solution.
  2. This thread is bizarre enough to warrant not making a new one. Hopefully support will get back to me on it; 10/10 attempts dc'd trying to load any Action District. I only mention it because the last time I tried to use support under G1, it told me Premium Players had priority. That didn't happen this time. A bit like my night on Action Districts.

  4. At this point I'm glad my main character finished 'em last year. Number 6, if I couldn't be near it, was completely undetectable within visual range of the area. A pulse on the mini map would get around that. But like I said I did have an option for Silence of the Pumpkins, on my main. Glad it's over for another year! (Not that I actually dislike the event.) ; )
  5. Actually, I'm experiencing this with the final six pumpkins in Financial on pc NA server. I've been to every inch of its suggested location, and the pumpkin is either utterly silent and so well hidden it can't be seen day or night...or it has glitched out completely. Support is still bogged down with old players who missed the email for the password change, and they prioritize Premium players, from memory. Maybe this is the best place to post about it. Tales of wasted hours and Silent Pumpkins.
  6. How about making them show up on the mini map when they laugh or something? Just the nearest one to your character, not all at once. A challenge is okay, but burning game time for zero to very little xp just slows down advancement. I'm beyond happy that each character can only kill 'em once; it's both annoying and deeply frustrating to get down to the final 5 only to find they ARE NOT in the area indicated, as well as being drowned out by the ambient game noise like passing cars or music from a nearby club. Case in point: the one on Beach Street said it was in Gaijin Nightclub. It was on a totally different block! Having the nearest active one show up on the mini-map would really help.

  8. Does that not mean that scammers can now effectively scam honest traders with no recourse to Support? I may have misunderstood. In the past there was a One Strike policy when it came to Scam Claims anyway. So it was Fool Me Once and I can report it and get my Weapon back, fool me twice and I'm on my own. It was harsh but fair enough in its own way. We ended up with Trusted Middlemen making Trades for players to avoid scams altogether*. If you're trading an Armas weapon for an apb$ amount in order to trade for an Armas weapon on a Character Restricted sale basis, what guarantee is there that the person you're trading with won't pay the zero real-world cost apb$ price agreed upon, and then keep the Armas Weapon you traded them without posting the Armas Weapon they agreed to put in your name at the same apb$ price? It sounds as if the limited use safety net we did have has been removed. I might have it wrong, but that's my concern with it. *( I don't trade Armas weapons since I got the Commander I was after for 2 years, incidentally. I did get caught once, and support fixed it for me. )
  9. I haven't seen anyone in the last week to try my nerfed shotgun on in order to see what happened to it. Yeah it could be worse, I agree; I used to play Face of Mankind, which suffered from an actual Toxic Community at war with an absent Dev team who made promises they had zero intention of keeping. That was a real shame, and a total breach of trust with their player base. LO don't seem like that is their business model, to me. But Han server is like a ghost town compared to last week (at the time I usually play). Most of my friends who used to play, up to the start of August, no longer appear listed as "friends who play this game" on Steam. I can't explain it. And I don't understand it either. I'm gonna go read the Patch Notes to see what happened, and see if it makes sense to me after that.
  10. I have to agree on the Roles; some of them are pretty huge achievements for what seems like a backhanded pay-off. Perhaps if they knew putting the time in for 10,000 sniper kills unlocked a permanent R&D sniper people would be more inclined to try and meet the requirement.
  11. I found it easier on Waterfront, but not as fast as Financial. Ended up finishing it on Financial. The Gresty Street Chop Shop and the one half way between there and Shift are the closest together. Going under the freeway between the two makes it even faster. The reason I mentioned Waterfront is the generally lower population made it easier to deliver them in pristine condition for the cash bonus. But by now you must be starting to realize why the completion rate for Car Thief is less than 1% of players. Go hard!
