Kevlar 3 Needs Buff
koenyboy500 replied to EC2Jonathan's topic in Social District (General Discussion)
Kind of sick of the people who are only here to complain and tell other people they are 'stupid'.... Anyway, I think Kevlar should not have an impact traveling-wise but more of an impact combat-wise. I suggested the same run and sprint speed BUT aiming makes you stop dead centre in your place. This allows for counterplay and is not downright annoying to have equiped. That said, close quarters might need some fine-tuning to be kept in check. (more damage up close but still overall more effective-health than normal?). Open to suggestions of course. -

I'd like to see you speak anything worth reading. LOOK AT ME I AM COMPLAINING LOL OH GUYS THIS ISNT THE WAY WHAT A TROLL OH NOES I STUBBED MY TOE How about you lay down the potato chips and actually speak some arguments like someone who is not trying to look like a troll. The Colby .45AP is a problem and you stand idle. No audience could love you -

Yes that's the point. But this one aims. THAT is the trade-off. You sound like someone who is suspiciously okay with people running around with an Overpowered secondary that shines in the hands of people who never miss their shots. Do you miraculously hit every single shot? Do you outplay the odds every single time by 'skill' that you are so defiant against a weapon like this being nerfed? Are you able to stand against the people who also use this weapon and also 'miraculously' hit every shot without fail? Are you one of them? Let's see if you understand what I am calling you here -

I 100% agree. Also about potentialy nerfing .45AP, I'd say give it a bigger magazine +2 and make it need +1 more shots to kill. I'm no statistics expert (I am, but I just cannot forsee how this would go) but I'd be curious to see how this would play out. People have proven their 'skill' (if that's what someone would call it) with the weapon. Now let us tone down the skill-ceiling and also lower the skill-floor. I'm inclined to say 'buff the accuracy' as a trade-off but when I compare it to the Obeya-FBW it is already MUCH more accurate so I wouldn't want that to happen. -

Maybe also something regarding jumping height? Ammo capacity (if this proves too OP when scriptkiddies use it)? I do appreciate the slowness of Kevlar as it is, but REPOSITIONING with Kevlar or just moving from A to B AT ALL feels horrible. I feel like it would be much more nice of an experience to remove the effect of slowing the player from moving locations, and instead SLOW the player whilst they are AIMING by 99% like a hefty anti-MobilitySling (maybe even an 'COD-ADS' delay). This adds counterplay, isn't too frustrating to use and also allows peaking in-and-out of gunfire to 'wittle down' the kevlar user due to their high regeneration delay. But I can see it becoming a problem for CQC and defenders of objectives though.... -

Oh no not this again. Honestly someone going toe-to-toe with me with a Obeya FBW is completely fine. .45 just pushes it over the line. People keep complaining about .45 is op BUT WAIT NEXT GUN WILL BE [weapon] AND THAT WILL BE THE NEW..- shut it. SHUT. I'm done of that argument. I BET that if you'd put every single weapon TTK in an excel sheet and organise it high to low (or low to high) you would find a difference of 0.02 seconds each step. FBW is fine. Colby 45.AP is not. (0.2 seconds of TTK diff by the way) -

I feel like Fragile users are 1) very, very awesome. 2) have that DBZ-stereotype of training with weighted clothing (ironically). Once they start putting Fragile away they have a good chance of being 'simply better' than those who didn't train with it. I respect other Fragile users whenever I encounter them. -

I'm afraid that if you wanted to go all "Joker" (Ammo?) Going all "Clown" was a poor choice. -

Honestly I'd rather see the slowness penalty be reduced slightly. Running Kevlar 3 in this meta and enviroment already means that you are not running any sort of level of Clotting Agent, which is an indirect penalty all on itself. Giving MORE health would be problematic and unfun to play against, whereas being a bit more mobile makes the perk less frustrating to use AND you still have to play around the downside of 'its not Clotting Agent'. (<I am not a Clotting Agent slave by the way, I love running Kevlar and Fragile strategicaly). -
I actually agree with MACKxBOLAN for ocne, I think Escalation is pretty stupid. It's a tool for tryhards/sweatlords. What people tend to forget also is how INCREDIBLY UNBALANCED the game becomes for the attacking side. 2v2? If you play smart and get the double, the objective is yours. 8v8 and you made a quad? Tough luck buddy the sniper was aiming at the objective door GG NO RE mission failed. It completely puts the mission to a standstill. If you are attacking the objective and your teammates are playing like, at all: DO NOT call for escalation. You are SHOOTING YOURSELF in the foot. But with the requirement of thinking about something called 'consequence' leaves little hope for people actually using it to their advantage. In my opinion, lower player amount allows for MUCH MUCH MUCH more strategical plays and chess-like gameplay. Strategies can be employed and tricks can make their appearance. High playercounts just ensures that nothing you do ever matters.

I'm not sure I follow. I always make sure the streets are safer compared to when I found them. Money in the mix or not, I relentlessly hunt crime. You should know I sometimes wake up to Aletta Cadagan's voicelines on Youtube. "Round up everyone of these bastards and shoot them in the head. Do it in plain sight if you have to." -Aletta Cadagan

I dunno. Having a world ready with only crims is a good sign that ramraiding is in progress and it usually makes the crims very lax in staying protective of their stash. A good enforcer could smell opportunity just after the loginscreen alone. If they are interested in sums that is. (But I do think the witness missions should scale to equal numbers on both sides. Tired of 1v2'ing for PLAYING THE GAME just cause Goofy had Donald around (and thus in turn often dying after killing the person witnessed and then falling to their teammate and losing ALL opportunity AND helping the criminals with dropping of their stash)

STAR is underrated. Infact (and I'm well aware the weapons are 95% the same) I think that the FAR is THE Assault Rifle in the game that has the best multi-purpose use. It is the middle ground between STAR and N-TEC and does both sustained fire (STAR) and accurate burst/semi-auto fire very well.
