how many times per week do you get griefed and it makes you lose?
But this is APB for me. Random crash on the way to objective, random road blockade. While annoying this is the hidden beauty just like funny bugs that happen once in a blue moon but give good giggles. Without it APB will get closer to arena shooters which I hate.

Getting from point A to B, standard route, perfect and already known ETA while driving thru city that is in chaos. Meh that would be boring and bland. APB is fun because of it's randomness and chance of getting rekt on the way to C was always part of it.

I've been griefed this way so many times back on 2011. At first i used to get mad, but then i burst into giggles right after.

Also did it quite a few times back on 2011, and gotta admit it's hilarious to see someone standing behind/next to a car, and not have any evil thoughts seeing it.

That's GTA vibes. This game was somehow based off it, so this kind of thing was normal.

then he moved to his current position near to Kaspar Danko's HQ

    Hi there,

This is exactly why we normally do not delete threads unless they violate our ToS. Deleting a thread removes the context for readers like yourself aftert the fact, and it leads to assumptions like ‘censorship’ and ‘abuse of power’.

In this case, the OP of that thread asked us to remove it. I started a new thread. Let that get discussed for several hours, and then removed the OP’s thread. It wasn’t ideal. I felt she suffered quite a bit at the hands of the community, and I don’t like all that toxicity.

    Thanks,
    Matt

I've got a warning from a mod due to my outburst reaction to one of the original overexaggerated kids on Lixil's stream, and i felt relieved to be honest.

The bold part of your text summarizes my feelings at that very moment. I truly felt anger for the ones attacking Lixil, because she wanted to do something nice, and some people tried to turn all that not into a COMPLAINT, but instead, they forcefully tried to DESTROY A CAREER or A LIFE with that circlejerking attitude.

They were not like "Hey, it's bad to play with a self proclaimed ex-cheater", but they were like "HEY, YOU'RE A TERRIBLE CM, YOU'RE LIKE TIGGS," and turn everything into a freak show.

    Lixil clearly don't deserve it.

We're all traumatized by the treatment of this game; we need therapy.  LO needs to bring a licensed therapist (or 20) on staff.

1> LO gets a therapist for the community
2> LO starts a stream to start treating the community
3> People start circlejerking the therapist
4> The therapist gets insane, joins the community, and starts circlejerking LO

    The fact remains, cheated.

There is no forgive and forget around here sunshine.

Maybe from you, as you seem to not understand: after the amnesty, they either play right by the rules, or get banned by the new anticheat.

People like you truly fail to understand: banned players as wrong as they could be, have been amnestied, but not to free roam the game. Now with BE, people don't get the chance to any complaint about "wrongful bans" like they used to do with Fair Fight.

i'm not sure how many ways i can reconstruct the point i was trying to make. and im confused on what you're trying to say on the rest of your post.

my point is it's a good experience for someone who wants to "fix the game" to go through the early levels because that's something that literally every player goes through and would allow for a better perspective on something they might not normally get if they started straight from 255.

but they've already clarified that they do have "fresh" accounts and accounts that are "maxed out".

so im basically stating the obvious now. i'm not sure how not playing from ground zero wouldn't be beneficial for someone attempting to better the game.

That is truly stating the obvious.

By "It's not like every GM in every game will go thru all the pain we've gone.", i considered the fact that GMs usually show off their maxed characters/account.

They certainly have their personal characters undercover. I would not be so harsh to LO team since they barely started and they have huge piles of things to achieve/fix, but certainly Majiik, Androvald and Aphadon are the staff with most experience. (now its me stating the obvious)

They probably know much about the aspects of the game, but let's take Matt as an example from his experience with lag: he noticed that after a fresh restart to servers, the lag spikes would be lowered, and how server code was probably involved with this. In this case, i don't think Majiik/Aphadon/Androvald ever noticed this situation.

Anyway, i'll finish my part here because i don't even know where i'm heading lulz, it's almost 3am, english is not my main language and this is getting confused

I think we all just want a better APB, im gonna sleep now before i start drolling kek

I don't think they actually 'study'  the game. This game is just an old PvP game from real time worlds that wanted to make something similar to an online version of crackdown.

not much to study, unless you want to study the oddities that are the players who think its justified to purposely lower their skill level to kill lesser skilled players or why the community is so against company staff playing the game with questionable people.

Bold text = That would be a start 🤔:classic_laugh:

But there are things to be studied. We get it's not a League of Legends, Counter-Strike or whatever where some functions truly need some more extra time and effort, but paying attention to how each kind of weapon behaves, ranges, how mods work and their limit, how cars behave and their handling (despite of the lag of the game), the map layout of that unique district, alleys/exits/entrances/places to cover, hideouts, etc etc. All these aspects i consider as "studying" the game, and that certainly makes some difference among skill between players. At least to me i take these aspects when i'm self criticizing my gameplays on what i could do better. APB sometimes is simply seen as who has the most OP weapon (p2w drama would start/starts here), or if we all just gone pew pew around districts with no tactic whatsoever, but we know its not.

the only thing the company people need to do is avoid is getting involved with the 'cliques' like the 'kool kids' in the sorry excuse for a discord server or the usual second life tier arguments in social district.

This is perfect. The more they avoid getting into problems or old dramas, the better. Maybe after this whole situation, the staff will start to get into the "malice" side APB has to sadly offer.

just because they can doesnt mean they should.

the op probably assumes the game staff will not learn the game the same way other players did. its not surprising for people running around with the 'GM' tag to be max rank, but when they play by themselves without their tags i am sure they are not max ranked.

complaining about people being whiny is just stupid on your part because as dumb as their complaint is, it can be an issue to some players who believe the staff do not understand the game simply because they never started from the bottom

But that's my point. No one has never told me that GMs don't start from the bottom, it's just common sense. All games i've ever played, GMs had edited characters to have stats maxed out.
How did i see it? You just need to look and think "they are the admins, thats how their equipments are so shiny. duh"

Again, Game Masters COULD learn the game like we do, starting from the bottom, but they prefer to STUDY the game. Now, if they don't any of both, that's where the problem truly resides.
If they play from time to time, that shall not be a problem, as long as they know about the game. (Like the way Matt has been doing lately)

  9. I've got the train already departed from the station, but i got to say: i have mixed feelings about the whole situation:

    1) While i truly get the point about Lixil playing with an EX-CHEATER, someone who has stated that cheated in the past, that individual has already been amnestied.
We have a new anticheat measure in place, and if that player tried to play with some kind of 3rd party advantage while alongside Lixil, he would certainly get banned.

    2) BUT, i also get the point the community stated here, this fact about playing with an EX-CHEATER. While i stated that in my point of view it has no problem at all, Lixil should avoid it.
Remember the GM applications? The fact that an applying player should have never been banned once to be eligible? So, why this filter is so strong in one case, and not for the other?
I get that Streaming and Choosing a GM are different situations, but as an staff member, both should have the same weight.

Lixil isn't God, she doesn't know everything in this world, specially who has cheated or not in the past: How to solve this problem?
Answer: If i'm not mistaken, it has been said by iDisney. Lixil should avoid playing with random players out of nowhere. Staff should only play with players who have won some kind of event, where one of the rewards would be being added to a party with the Staff members. That would avoid part of the drama, but it isn't 100% sure because APB community strongly tends to overreact and create cancerous whiny posts, free toxicity, etc...

I highly recommend that Lixil should never stop streaming her gameplays like Tiggs did, that was a big mistake letting the community get thru her nerves.
But she now knows that APB community has some shady shit attitude flowing from some users who try to "problematize" any situation, turning something into a chaos, so she needs to raise some "malice" over it.
Do solo gameplays, be kind to players, harsh to the ones who deserve it, do events and stuff and that's it. Any further interaction = chances of getting toxicity from "malicious" players who want to link you to Tiggs as a CM, and ruin your life.

  10. You know, Devs / Official Staff can do whatever they want as they feel like (aside from banning or messing around with players without any substantial reason)

They can either have rank 0 accounts, to even 255 accounts or whatever. That won't make them any better or worse, many online games have Admins running around with equipments / whatever maxed out.

I'm really trying to understand this necessity some whiny bishing players have to show off here, with this attitude of "oh no, an admin with max stats. how can you?"

Yes, they can, BECAUSE THEY ARE THE ADMINS OF THIS GAME!

some people are missing the point badly.

it's okay for them to have 255 accounts. but for the purpose of new eyes to be useful, you have to go through every aspect of the game. including the race\grind\hill\hike\journey from r15 to r255.

this would be important if not mandatory for the CM to go through as they would be able to relate with incoming new players more effectively.

can't expect to prepare to try and retain players if you don't understand what new players go through.

I really like your posts Aeronaut, but i can't go along with this one. It's not like every GM in every game will go thru all the pain we've gone.

Again, they usually have their accounts edited to get max stats. Their knowledge comes from reading the systems in place, like if they were reading/studying about something in school.

The surveys are still there, but it's such a huge pain in the butt trying to get any that 'deem' you 'eligible' that most of the time they just cancel the survey on you.

@Neonis was attempting to do some for at least an hour the other day to try to get some G1C, and many surveys kept just basically kicking him off saying he wasn't eligible. Absolutely frustrating for him.

Most of us are never eligible for them. @Zolerox must be some alien to get them working properly.

  12. The fact that you stay under permanent witnessable status after you reach a certain amount of money, is due to the fact pedestrians see you messing around and call us, the almighty police force to smack our wrath upon thou.

I got what you meant here with your thread and that kinda makes sense, but that's just unpractical.

  13. STAR LCR was the first premium weapon ive bought. When i did it, i thought the LCR would be a direct update to the default STAR, but it's kind of a unique spin-off. (slower firing rate, but better accuracy, specially for longer range)

It's a cool weapon if you want an option for faster firing rate than a HVR Scout.
If we were playing Counter-Strike, the STAR LCR would be the SIG SG 550 Sniper Rifle.

  14. If you have nothing to worry about if you truly are the owner of the account, why are you creating such a drag to prove the ownership?

I'm thinking that you either hacked the account and is trying to claim it as yours, or you bought it from someone else.

If i had to prove something STRAIGHT TO THE OFFICIAL SUPPORT of a game, i'd do it without any worries. You seem weird tbh...
