I really really dont want to be a party pooper...everyone had a fraught past week or so. but starting the free 2 weeks of free commanders on Friday might, sadly ..be a bit premature. As the server still...and hasnt been since its move..been exactly stable. Still very sluggish on toon load..switching characters.. taking and removing from vaults..mail at times etc. Now this latest freeze on load

Again...switched character..locked up / froze..tried to relaunch. stuck on an empty character select screen. Oh,,my characters eventually popped up on character select screen ..trying to launch now..but its not looking good.

Sparks up a ciggie while waiting for the issue to be resolved.."what could possibly go wrong he says ..while carelessly flicking ash near rum fueled hampsters.

Yea its been threatening to do that all day really...im surprised it stayed up this long. Maybe if we had had a few maint runs after the long shutdown and server move it would have helped. But..what do i know..im just a humble hampster barman.

You've been drinking perhaps?...maybe we shud start if not. Pours the hampsters a large brandy....there ya go lil fellers...its medicinal.

Yep..same here..got stuck on toon switch..again..decided to relaunch to unstick..had a few nearly loads of toon ...from a very laggy toon select screen. Now its stuck on alec masters...initialising

Hm server had another embolism? Toon wont switch now...relaunched...took aaaaaages to load toons. clicked toon...gets helpfull message "your toon has failed to load" like i hadnt noticed. Trys others...all are refusing to load. A few relaunches from deskton eventually lets me load a toon in....

Nope ...worse than before....seemed to hang completely after file check. will try a few relogs / relaunches. A few relaunches maybe helped initial load screen time of toons a lil. Toon switch seems just as laggy as before. File check does force a re collation of data..so maybe that helps a lil on initial toon load screen. But seems no affect on other issues.

Yes..affecting me ...and quite a few others have mentioned it..assume its likely affecting everyone. Plus mail isnt to hot...unparking cars / mounts laggy...switching between clan and normal vault lagged so bad a few times i thought my clan vault had been trashed lol. Setting and completing crafts a tad laggy too.

Goddammit..i just spent hours trying to sort my mail out.

Well..they really shud have said in advance ..if thats the case..we have the server back up...but erm..we managed to lose 2 weeks of data...sry bout that.

MM u have steam authentication un ticked? or thats ticked?

Takes 2 or 3 enter password steps,,then u shud be on alec masters screen...and hit play from there.

Back up "current data" take server down restore data etc..not sure how they managed to lose ....is it 2 weeks? of peoples progess if they backed up data just before server shutdown My personal view is to leave as is...any guys who lost progress just have to suck it up...i know i have had to over the years numerous times on roll backs.

Hopefully we are not at this stage yet.

My personal view is they missed out the sacrifice a goat or chicken and do the special dance step before they started. Oh... and wore their lucky undies.

I dunno maybe stuck on loading all the stuff in my mailboxes. Hope it doesnt get eaten..i have like 50 yellow ive been shuffling about in there too.

Maybe...they should strip out all the accounts that havent been used for years...back them up somewhere else.. to be added back in if the account holders ever come back..if that is even possible or would help. Always did wonder if all those old unused accounts and data had any impact on the game...maybe they dont.

So ..its a bit more than a " maintenance window".
