  1. I enjoyed this game mode, it's the most fun I've had in APB for a while. Exploring the new version of the map was enjoyable too. -Even though I watched the spawn videos I didn't immediately realize where/how to pick up the blue gun spawns throughout the map. It was only on my third play-through that I knew what to look for. Because the UI stresses the location of access codes and plant sites my focus was 100% on those two objectives. If you're just starting out and are new to the mode you have to coincidentally see the cash/gun spawns on the radar to know what to look for, which is difficult because the radar only goes out to ~80m. It would be helpful showing low-tier cash/gun spawns when opening the district map as that would have informed me immediately what to look for and is what I first checked upon starting the mode. This is only really an issue for new players though. -I had a generally good time with spawning. The only issues I had were in the final district, but those locations are usually so narrow that I can't think of a valid solution other than cutting down the number of players that make it to the final zone. Even still though, the respawn mechanic is one of the most fun aspects of this mode so I don't think cutting down the number of players in the final zone is a valid solution.
  2. Thanks for this Matt, this new mode looks like a lot of fun and clearly a lot of thought has been put into making it APB-compatible and distinguishing it from standard BR games.
  3. How Does Little Orbit do narrative building? Does Little Orbit have a writer specifically for their new APB content or do they bring over writers from Little Orbit's other games? (Asking out of curiosity more than anything given the recent RedHill ARG)
  4. New contacts will be really cool! Will they be voiced like the ones in the current game?
  5. Definitely, as someone who's not super social that sort of bugs me too, but it does make sense for this event. Maybe in future ARGs there can be different pathways to solving it with different rewards based on pathway took.
  6. I'm really enjoying the lore(?) aspect of this event, I hope Little Orbit does more stuff like this in the future and I'm interested in learning more about RedHill. Even though people seem to have gotten the code already there's a whole bunch of stuff that hasn't been answered. I.e: 1. Were the two university students intentionally infected/killed? 2. Were the deaths caused by the infection intentionally manipulated with fear tactics to promote mass hysteria in order to administer more San Parites with the cure? 3. What is the cure? They skipped testing protocols to hasten release. This is really suspicious. RedHill seemed intent on getting this cure to as many citizens as possible. Was this to build good will towards the company within the city or does the cure itself contain something monstrous? 4. What's up with the construction workers all being intoxicated? Were they administered something? 5. The filtration system that RedHill wasconstructing collapsed. Did the harmful chemicals get into San Paro's ecosystem? 6. What role does John Holland university play? 7. Why does RedHill as a pharmaceutical company care so much about San Paro's public security? Why do they care about San Paro at all?
  7. It was a cool feeling in early RTW days because playing Crim you felt like you could never really trust your teammates in the same way you can when playing enforcer because your next mission could be opposed. You also got full gold credit for taking out a n5 Crim, so playing Crim was very much "no honour amongst thieves". Enforcers still got decent missions because once a Crim hit a certain notoriety (n3 IIRC) they could have a bounty mission called out against them at literally any time in an action district even if they weren't readied up (uhh this was pretty frustrating though and led to some pretty obnoxious 1v1's). Crim v crim doesn't really work in the current matchmaking system but I really hope they consider it as a potential option if they ever do cross district matchmaking so they have a larger pool and also find something to fill the matchmaking gap for enforcers.
  8. I was wondering if Little Orbit is enjoying APB, since much of the new Little Orbit staff haven't had previous exposure to it, and it may have been a completely different genre to what they were expecting when they signed up. I saw a few posts from Matt Scott saying some of the things he liked about it and I was wondering what other staffers think too. For example, what they like/dislike about it, or what they would like to improve.
  9. Keep in mind enemy car spawners are essentially a big red "THEY WILL SPAWN HERE" on your minimap. Even if you don't blow them up you can use this to your advantage and reposition in advance because you'll know where they'll be coming from which is a massive advantage in APB. Once I unlocked OSMAW I started charging it up while pointing at car spawns waiting for people to spawn. People spawning in cars don't have the same immunity standard spawns get so if you hit them as they spawn in you get an instakill, add an extra ~ 10 seconds to their death timer, and they now have to wait for the cooldown timer to car spawn again. Maybe not the strongest strategy but definitely funny.
  10. My main issue with having dethreaters around newbies is actually when they get put on the same team and some of them lash out at the newbies when they underperform and harass them to uninstall. (Clearly some of the people who want weak enemies can’t handle weak allies). another thing is some of them trying to purge the newbie by TKing them until they fire back so they can kick them and get a better player. (I see this way too often on enemy teams with a new player). obviously players of all ranks are capable of exercising these behaviours, but I see it more often from highly skilled dethreaters.
  11. Evidence to back up your hackusation of me? Look this conversation has gone on long enough, all I'm trying to say is don't falsely accuse people of things.
  12. ??? where is the evidence? Literally anybody who plays on EU knows I'm one of the worst players in this game. You are spreading baseless accusations in a thread where you are complaining about baseless accusations.
  13. You hackusated me literally yesterday, and said I was snapping. I never snapped.
  14. Hey it sucks that someone's accusing you of something but please keep this experience with baseless accusations in mind the next time you accuse a (literally) bronze threat level NVHR user of being a "well known aimbotter" in district chat, thank you.
