Yeah, I can't fathom why there is steam login option if it doesn't work...

Manual login seems to work, after I took the time to figure out what my password was...

Its there cause it'll be used when the game goes Live, but for now the Steam setting is only tied into 1.20.  I believe steam can only be tied into one version of a game at a time.

I can log in to the live version with no problems. With the beta I just keep getting the "error 9".

I may need to dig deeper into this...

Yeah, not the same game and i don't think they connect to the same servers either.  (I think its the same locations but the units and everything is whats different.)  Steam login doesn't work either if thats what you're trying

I'm still amazed LO keeps breaking the Ntec (and its variants) rather than accepting that it was one of the very few weapons that have been built properly, and that the other weapons should be equally as usable as the Ntec in their own ways.

How I see it is that the Ntec-5 (used to be) the jack of all trades but a master of none, and the Ntec-7 being very close to that with just a *slight* disadvantage in closer ranges and a *slight* advantage in longer ranges and looking way cooler (imo) than the Ntec-5.
The recent changes now is revolved around breaking the Ntec and trying to push it into a niche were it doesn't belong and where there are other variants of weapons that excel in those niches. Like how the Obeya now demolishes the Ntec-7 and how the FAR variants easily defeats the Ntec-5 in medium ranges and the Whisper now being the go to for closer ranges.

I understand that the Ntec was the meta for quite a while, and I believe it is because the weapon was actually consistent and usable, unlike so much other weapons that I really question its existence in the first place. And because of that, LO was keen on nerfing the meta in order to allow newer players to be able to join the game and have fun, but lets be real here. How many new players actually try apb and stick to it even after such changes keep coming over and over? How many games have metas and still have many players joining the game and having fun and be able to grow on the skill gap scale? Is removing metas actually a significant change compared to better game performance, game marketing, gfx improvements, better matchmaking, server performance, etc..? Especially in a game which breaking the weapon variety stability will only piss off current players but is insignificant to newer players because they don't feel compelled to the game (or don't even know about the game) due to a million other reasons.

Aside from actually a few wise decisions regarding weapon changes, I think you guys did enough damage and stop tinkering with the weapons hoping that new players would appreciate such changes.

Feel like you're confusing the N-TEC 5 with the STAR 556.  The N-TEC has always been out of line, but the STAR is considered the only balanced gun in the game.  Not only labeled a jack of all trades (literally) but it does a bit of everything without being god awful or particularly strong.  Only real issue with the STAR is its moist sounding audio, otherwise a perfect gun.

I dont want to accusate in particolar someone, but maybe you should tell too who give the ""suggestions"" to ""balacing" the weapon to from a pocket obir to a total hot trash using your words since over a year at  now.....

But at least I  see a improving than last year,  the opinion of "someone" until some time ago  were completely different and defend strenuously telling the RFP  now it was perfectly balanced 🤣

The RFP was a result of early tests and just general learning of how things should go.  Though i do not know why the RFP has been stuck in its current state for over a year.  Lost track of how many times it was brought up and swept.  It's not anyone in particulars fault however.

ARMAS states that there is less recoil and from my experience using the weapon this makes a lot of sense. The heightened zoom increases perceived recoil which is likely why it was designed this way to begin with. Flavor wise this can be attributed to an improved stock as seen on the pre-skins model, much like its maximum bloom advantage over the regular variant that it has now lost.

Don't believe anything written on the ARMAS page.  Mind that that hasn't been updated since 2014 and contains LARGELY out of date information.

Upward recoil is slightly reduced as is damage dropoff due to using a different curve.

From what i know of, the Scoped has more recoil in both directions than the normal N-tec.  Though it has a slightly longer range curve than the normal n-tec as well.  At the very least it used to have a longer range curve.  Curve information is not easily available.

I heard that phrase too many times from clowns like you, you dont actually play the game by the looks of it.

Late to the party but Lilpiggy is correct.  Stamina damage does not affect a guns ability to stun.  Following your logic means the OCA Nano shouldn't be able to stun, or the DMR as both of these weapons do more health damage than stamina damage.  There's a simple flag that determines if a weapon can stun or not, nothing more nothing less.

  8. I do wanna point out regarding the reserve ammo changes that those were not intended to affect balance but was actually clean up from Reloaded due to the fact most of these guns were based on other guns (FAR based on the STAR/N-TEC 5, SBSR based on DMR, etc) and due to the changes to those guns, the reserve ammo pool resulted in half mags for the final mag in reserve.  Not really something people run into i guess but it was something that was reviewed and changed to keep that element inline with other guns.

TL;DR: 4 or 5 reserve mags is better and more logical than 4.7 or 5.3 reserve mags.  Will likely be adjusted accordingly when/if we revisit these guns "Eventually".

  9. Those two locked weapon slots are probably more likely to just be deleted than unlocked.  Pretty sure they were planned because RTW had more equipment lined up (blow torch, police badges) but that never happened and they still wanted to encourage team based play so they just stayed locked.

Would make game play rather bland if players could carry 5 types of equipment and leave the spare 2-3 extras alone.

When you get a hybrid like the ISSR-B, you create balance issues because it's good at everything, ESPECIALLY when it's in a sniper role and can reach 100m with no issues.

None of the snipers can really hit hard at 100m besides the DMR.  More so the ISSR-B cause its capped to 83m when other snipers are capped at 90m.

    I get your point though.

can't believe this many people actually want to keep territory control, it's an utter mess to play and really removed the senseless kill farming baylan had (which was very enjoyable) and gave us an open air asylum

Might feel like a mess but its refreshing.  Playing 100 kills for 7 years straight is mind numbing.  Only issue it has anyways is that its too long.

Still no idea why RP just perma locked Baylan like they did.

I was thinkin about this for baylan like 1 briefcase in crims main spawn and 1 in enforcer main spawn.Goal is to score more points by holdin on both items most time untill time runs out.But i guess they cant add more modes right now to Baylan cause of the engine work

Btw what about adding deathmatch in asylum rotation of missions?I mean FFA(solo all vs all)Think about it after the engine upgrade..we dont have such mode in the game right now(actually the gun game event was FFA)

Item holds used to be a thing in Baylan, you had single point hold with no bases, and then multi-point hold with bases.  Adding an FFA mission requires a lot of code changes however since that's and entirely different system from what FC missions use.

  13. Since i have to pick, Territory control simply cause its something different.  100 kills for the last five years is brain murdering.  But if we're gonna go for that, its gotta be shorter as 2000pts for 15 mins is rather lengthy, but that's more of an issue on NA since Baylan is virtually always dead.

It would honestly be worth while to get the rotation coding re-implemented asap.

Can anyone make it clear, what happened to Medium Ammo box, which is available for it now? Will it be just instead of heavy one or something?

Basically, Medium Ammo box will be removed.  Large ammo box is being renamed and swapped to use the Medium model while still technically being a large box.  Basically the large box gains additional mobility.

Tough luck for anyone who bought the medium one.
