    In CQB, sure.  Otherwise the LCR still beats it down range due to its broken drop off.  If you got the Old Glory, then that is even better since CJ doesn't affect the fire rate when in marksmen on the New Glory.  Really it's just a worse Ursus that tries to be a better LCR, but depending on how you look at it, it both is and isn't.

    Talking about the New Glory: Without going too off topic now, but in its current state it can't really compete with the most other weapons of the game.

    As Hexerin stated, that's exactly what the Ursus is.  It's just using a unique version of Hunting Sight 3 that has a different aiming reticle.  This is kinda where the New Glory shines as the lack of hunting sight makes it better in close quarters.  But as we know, the New Glory is just a super weird and awkward weapon.  Kinda unfinished too.

    Technically this is where the New Glory would come in.  However some of us don't think the N-TEC 7 could work that way due to its base stats design.  Worth to note that some weapons are designed around their mods.

    Legendary weapons can't be trailed and weapon trials i think reset every month or so.  Also there are a handful of weapons that you can't trial.  Not sure how its counterproductive to selling guns on ARMAS though.

Honestly i don't really care since its been a non-issue in my experience.  There is currently a bug with how it works so you can't see yours or other players weapons after they die, but in FC that doesn't really matter.  FC is a place where very little matters and i like that aspect of it.

     

    What would be nice though is an actual key to drop your weapon like with items.  If a new weapon launches and people want to try before they buy, it's a good way to do it as nobody really loses outside of first time buyers.

     

    I recommend leaving it on for a while and see what happens.  The current implementation of it nullifies the whole 2 primary fear which is good.


  6. Trying to persuade Matt to swap the Golden N-HVR with the normal one so it's skinable.  If this is the future then the "Golden" weapons are basically pointless.

    I'm sure it was a choice to simply test the waters with the idea since they're not new, just being changed to permanent.  Shame if you buy them before the patch though.

    Because they're swapping out Battleye for EAC.  And with EAC not functioning correctly, its either run a game with no form of anti-cheat or hold things until its fixed.

     

    Personally i prefer waiting over getting kicked every few minutes or dealing with rampant cheaters.  And yeah, there's plenty of cheaters now but do you really want more for a week?

    I'm actually curious where you get "rushed content" out of a delay caused by EAC.

    This is just another example. I get it they are small company without any experience with "big" online games but at this point this is just a meme.

    It's an issue that cropped up last night when we were actually testing something else.

    Problem with that is that there's more reasons for it happening than just that, and once it starts, have to reboot the game to make it stop.

    Last second issues are a thing.   We had only discovered this particular issue with it last night after a day or two of testing things.

    What.  Also do keep in mind that RP weren't the only ones working on APBs new engine until maybe 3 years in.  They cranked out a lot in about a 2 year span from what i can tell.  Props to them for their efforts.

    Mind you as time progresses, the "average" PC does too.  I know for some years 8GB of RAM and 2-4GB of VRAM was the norm and now 16GB of RAM and 6GB VRAM is more a norm, those numbers of course increasing as time goes on.  On top of that, the game already can load the player at max res and other characters/models at half res if you want it to.  So telling the game to render my character with 2048 and others at 1024 is hugely feasible.

     

    2048 res and doubling the character poly count probably is somewhere near the bottom of LOs list of wants with 3.5 (or 4).  Though I'm sure that's a LONG ways away as well as requiring A LOT of work to do.  Least of our current problems though.

    Those are very unlikely to change in the near future as that would no doubt require a huge system change to how the character/vehicle editors work.  They never were changed back when RP was porting everything since they were focused on time.

    Vehicles have seemed to get a smidge more bouncy, normal Vegas now has suspension, can't do wheelies in any vehicle.  Otherwise the same as Live PC.  Can't say much about OTW2 however, it's just a port of console, if you played console you know that OTW2 is just a prettier version of that with M/KB.

  16. I'm surprised that out of everything, we have a near 1:1 version of consoles, or otherwise current LIVE that is playable for the most part.

     

    But I do like the current bug of where character editors (Body and Clothing) display the character as solid black.  Was fun making Skitty without being able to see her.

    As Matt had stated before, Its based on the console version, and since you can't do wheelies on console, I'm 99.9% sure that you can't on the new PC version.  This is subject to change however depending on what LO wants to do.  At least the normal Vegas was given suspension.

    I actually had to stop because APB's content is limiting, the only way to pass that is by redoing things from scratch.  Ultimately i chose to make scratch stuff for GTA V instead of APB but you never know, i might scratch make something for APB.  Thinking of doing the Jericho but for now, im content with what I've made so far.
