    Coming straight to the point,

    1. Clean HUD option ? (with only player names and objectives toggle-able)

    2. Fix Sprint Shooting ?  (I know we cannot do anything about macros but there must be a way to add delay in movement when you rapid fire with shitty mouse software)

    3. Better matchmaking ?

    4. Able to turn off death theme sounds ?

    5. Do something about weapons which people don't use because they are way out of balance ? (Bull shark , Far , Cobra etc ?) Analyse the players data on why they use only limited number of weapons !!!

    6. Remove the shitty consumables out of the game ? Especially the Mobile cover ?  This game ain't no Fortnite damn it

    7. Listen to basic stuff on what the community wants ? There is a reason why sooo many true fans of APB haven't abandoned this game yet !

    * Create an open poll !

    *Start running AB tests !

*Stop shady practices of releasing a BUFFED weapon and then nerfing it when sales goes down...

Was RIOT necessary ? Why are we trying to get on the bandwagon ? There is a reason why this game is unique... Just let it be and fix the exiting issue and concentrate on the Engine Upgrade !

I know changes are necessary for any service/product ! But you terribly failed to analyse what the community wants ! Soo much waste of resource on shitty RIOT.  Get your shit together Mr. Matt . No joke

    1. Clean hud? I'm sure is a feature that could be added, but not necessary for the game's survival.
    2. Sprint shooting has already been fixed and worked on by adding a delay between sprinting and firing your weapon. Regardless of weapon.
    3. Already been stated by Matt as a part of the upcoming plans after the engine upgrade.
    4. Now I don't know about Matt's decision regarding this as I don't remember if he said anything regarding it, but I find the death theme a rather nice feature of APB, it's a sort of jeer at your enemy. I personally don't like having the option, but I'm sure that plenty of other people will disagree with me.
    5. Weapon balance is already something they've said they want to address again, without making a hellfire of the balance.
    6. They're planning on rebalancing the whole of consumables, not just removing them. They'd be a great addition to the game if they were to be balanced properly.
    7. The "basic" stuff the community wants all varies from group to group in the community what one group will say will contradict the other sometimes. Plenty of people debating even some of the things you stated. If changes occur, you're bound to make some people upset. It's less about what changes you're wanting and more of what you're "okay" with. It's where you compromise with differing styles and methods of play.

I disagree. Consumables were not a good idea to begin with, but the ammo consumable invalidates the orange ammo box. Also, people seem to have completely forgotten about putting ammo in their car, but that mod seems to be completely invalidated nowadays as well. I remember when teammates would actually comm to each other to drop their box so the other person could swap loadouts. Or you could just run a loadout that is robust enough that doesn't really require you to ever swap.

This game use to require people to think ahead about what they were doing.

One of the biggest things in the game is team work, even if you're playing with randoms, you should at least communicate or coordinate some sort of plan. Knowing your environment, and opposition, as well as your teammates is why you make choices on your weapons at the beginning, or only once/twice per mission. If your team and you are all swapping weapons in excess of three times a mission, you're probably not planning well for any mission at all.

    47 minutes ago, crusade said:

Your loadout should be chosen mostly based on the location, which you won't really know until you get the mission. Standing near a vehicle spawner before a match begins hardly seems inconvenient, and is probably only necessary if you are running CQC in Waterfront or a sniper rifle in Financial.

You shouldn't have to swap more than once or twice during a mission. Weapon swapping is important, but if you're doing it constantly you may not be making the correct choices.

I was just saying that planning ahead isn't really a thing anymore.

More often than not, I've found my missions requiring me to spawn my car, or repair it afterwards anyways, or right before one too. If you're already knowledgeable about the map, and the gun game- then you should know what to walk into a gun fight with, as well as where you can resupply/stockup before another mission.

This does seem to be the popular opinion.

I just personally don't like it. I'm a solo player 99% of the time, so I'm not able to coordinate or rely on teammates, which means I have to craft loadouts by myself. Of course, APB isn't designed for solo play, and yeah if you have a 3 or 4 man premade, you can obviously use the various mods at your disposal to more or less make up for the changes.

Still, I hate that I have to either use a character mod loadout that either means i have to stand by a car spawn every match until we get opp and I can see their loadouts, or waste my orange mod slot on ammo boxes, or my blue vehicle slot since I wont be able to rely on teammates to pick of the slack so to speak when it comes to mods.

Basically I'm spending a significant amount of mission time driving around to change weapons,  whereas before I could do it on the fly which for me made for a much more fast pace and dynamic gameplay experience.

And as far as having to plan ahead more on what I'm doing, for me that just means choosing ntec nearly every mission.

Me too mate - but I've found that if you even try to start communicating with your teammates, they'll try to communicate back. At least some semblance of teamwork is better than non. In addition to that- when you're playing a mission, and "wait for opp" most of the time, you're at the end of a stage, else you're starting a new one. Stop by a car spawn or ammo supply between objectives, or you spawn as close to one as you can. There's more than enough around the map.

yep i guess the forum update never happened as well as

    the website update

    the new gm team

    the new support team

the new anticheats (BE then EAC)

    The epidemic event

    the showstopper

    the trade system

reduced armas prices by 20% if not more

    RIOT

    new support website

    new SPCT team

    communication

    new glory

yup, i guess all these things never happened .

I wouldn't inherently count events as nothing, but not as "something". They've brought some new events that were fun, but a couple of other missteps.

The biggest thing for players is the engine update, and further improvements and development.

Little Orbit's issues, as with much of the industry, are time and deadlines. Hopefully soon the upgrade will come.

  4. Looking back on this, I see a lot of valid points with reference to a toxic community.

I detest dethreaters just as much as the next guy, however, I will admit that a time ago I have dethreated.

I try to play in the silver district as I'm silver again, but it's becoming increasingly hard to remain in silver when the population keeps dropping.

In addition, I've also taken a break from the game even though my semester at uni is done, work has had me drained.

However, I think the assumption that the gold players are exclusively guiding the game is incorrect, though not farfetched, especially evident by the effects and criticisms of Riot's release.

Little Orbit did, in what appears to be most of our opinions, release Riot too early and underdeveloped.

If the game removed the threat locked districts, and returned the non-visible threat "open conflict" districts with match making patched in, you could at least have a better opportunity of players at least having matches that would suffice to say reduce many players' need to dethreat.

Same thread every month, you guys know this threat system sucks already..why don't you make a poll with suggestions instead?

I feel like at this point, those have already been drained too.

    Oh well, let's go again.

  6. The FBW isn't a good starter gun? The original starter gun was the Colby SNR... you know, that six shot revolver, where you died if you didn't hit 3 or 4 rounds.

In addition to that, you have the Obeya 762, Joker SR15, and others that all have a "rhythmic mechanic" as you described. What is wrong with having a learning curve in the game that doens't allow you to merely mash your mouse1?

Games should require a level of skill. Anyone can master the basic mechanics with enough time and effort.

The FBW is the jack-of-all-trades of sidearms in the game in my opinion, it's got good range, without being over powered, and having a long effective range, and the rate of fire is comparable to the nano.

WARNING: THIS THREAD HAS MORE THAN 1 LINE OF TEXT AND REQUIRES LITERACY!

It is safe to say this thread will just get buried because (1) it's not trendy, (2) won't have a 200IQ posters spearheading it, and (3) a lot of text to digest... but whatever there is an attempt

    🙂

While it is cool that there new things are on the horizon, what part of the gaming market is LO trying to appeal to with all this? The following are questions/thoughts that won't be discussed unless we're your stakeholders instead of your clients (us). Before this game gets ripped a new one by the current playerbase and the next "gaming" journalist looking to plagiarize and misinterpret a social discussion found here, I just need to know where this game stands in LO's eyes rather than us up/down-voting everything that isn't a meme-reply.

    RIOT

Why try a new mode now without actual advertising?

    • I read the news, the communications, the what-have-you... Call it a battle royale or not, this is a very saturated market and the Top 3 already are already battling it out to keep players interested.
    • RIOT will always be seen that way no matter how its spun and that is a gift and a curse which APB is taking too much of a gamble on. It can work if there are people to advertise it...but there currently is not because the game does not run smoothly  for everyone.
    • APB, past us, isn't even a part of anyone's conversation, its still a "what is that" title.
      • With the communications provided, the aim is to make the game run smoothly for as much of the population as possible, due to the upgrade, with the added content in conjunction to keep players interested in an updated game. I think once the upgrade and  unification is done, we'll have more advertising, and more future content.

    Profit

    ~snip~

L.O. has seemed to prove that they're not here for a quick buck. Since it's been a year since the acquisition, the chances for a quick buck look to have passed.

    Population

Does any of the changes to APB actually have the idea of building a new loyal and populated playerbase?

    • We now have less players playing this game between March-April 2019 than March-April 2018...
      • Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, typing in /pop in game...you can't make this up. We see it.
    • While we only need 1 district full to really play this game...everything is still segregated by threats, modes, etc.
      • Matt Scott has addressed the district/instance segregation. From his ideas and statements, I've got higher hopes for the game's population reducing some of the dethreating, and subsequence cancer.

    Current Audience

Why aren't we addressing those "little" problems that "orbit" this game which is stuck in a state of 'having potential' for a decade now?

    • Yes, APB needs to change...but we aren't changing what will matter to players.
      • What matters to the players then? I think what Little Orbit has done does actually matter to the players.
    • I understand as a developer/publisher there are MANY teams involved to keep this game alive (even its current state) and keeping the people fed to do so, but we are slowly going back to what was killing us under G1.
      • I disagree. G1 continuously milked the game, whereas L.O. is showing us that they really care, and want to succeed. They've made missteps, but anyone would, and they've actually communicated in ways the G1 never would have.
    • Look I want to come back to this game...and so do the players currently playing it that are oblivious to APB news and even everyone on these forums actively do too(who doesn't just post for the sake of posting). But who are we kidding: The only people reading these "news" are people who have been here and its the little things (as you can see from this very thread) that will continue to kill our hopes.
      • I don't see many hopes being killed? Most people have been optimistic for the upgrade, and with actual progress being made, we have proof that the update is coming soon, just after the testing will be completed. Not some spaghetti code to be endlessly rewritten.

hello can you freeze my premium? i dont feel like playing this game with how the servers are performing and by the time i get a reply from support half of it will be gone already

I've saved up a bunch of three day premium codes for occasions like these.

Until I'm gonna play for a while, I just use them.

I'd change steel plating and then I'd elevate the morai, bishada and jericho to S-tier vehicles with buffs. Not every vehicle needs to be S-tier but this would introduce some variety in the higher tiers until we actually get new vehicles for all tiers.

Moirai used to be a good car, but they nerfed it from being an AWD vehicle to RWD, which halved the torque. Please make it awd again, because the reverse gearing is garbage. On top of that, a lower tier vehicle, from which the Moirai should be an upgrade from: Dolton Broadwing. The Moirai should be returned to it's old state (at least for the drivetrain)

imo, Cisco has too low health for a top tier car, it needs a slight buff. The mid tier vehicles, Kurai, Moirai, T-25 could use a slight, just a slight health/armor buff.

I think the post-starter cars ($15k vehicles) could remain where they are at for now until the higher tiers get balanced. Boost the Montane's carry capacity. The thing's a dang pickup, much more cargo space than any van could hold, it's storage (a bed) is not constrained by the vertical element like the Ceresco.

The Han Veos, and both Macchina cars could use a sort of buff, but I'm not too keen on how to improve them without making them too much better than the other vehicles.

  10. Advanced APB Launcher preserves config file settings. Whenever you have to update the game, just run the APB launcher through the advanced launcher, then open the settings tab, it then automatically updates the settings that you changed. When you finish, just play the game. Pretty easy way to preserve settings.

My GPU is no longer a potato, so default launcher has been sufficient for me. Although, I probably could go back, and reduce the smoke settings through the advanced launcher to keep the damn fire and nades from short changing my fps by 10-15 frames.

    That's kinda racist.

If the dead horse hasn't been beaten enough times. Russia is a State. Russian is a Nationality. The majority of people living in Russia, are Caucasian. Hence, a xenophobic statement, not a racist statement.

*sidenote* Caucasian is derived from the region of the world the Caucasus Mountains, where the states:

    • Russia
    • Azerbaijan
    • Armenia - my familial ethnic background, woohoo
    • Georgia

I forgot the name of the European guy, but he deemed the physical traits of the region's people to be ideal, and thus gave us the idea that Caucasian people are White European people.

Hence, why many questionnaires equate Caucasian to being White - even though the two are from differing regions of the world.

basically: if something already has decals on it, you can't customize it. (that includes *unlocks from contacts and everything other players sell)

*unlocks with a title like "7-Sins" Belt for example (mentioning this because if I remember correctly, you can't look at how clothing you're about to unlock look like)

You can however preview it before purchase. There should be option in the clothing kiosk in WF, that allows you to sort for:

    • Customizable
    • Preset
    • Both

Same thing for vehicles. That's pretty much it.

  13. I don't really lease weapons... I have enough from my loyalty purchases of vehicle kits and premium that I no longer care for premium, or weapons purchases.

However, the rare occasion I need an osmaw, I usually idle around $400k on my crim, soooo I just get a 10 day lease, and then keep playing... haven't really gone below 400k by much...
